  1. Past hour
  2. Supposedly we have like $19 mil in cap already available. If we are having to "clear" cap space for a move......this does not sound good. This sounds like the prelude to a panic move.
  3. That was also counting 4.8m for Moton from his previous restructure.
  4. We traded him in 2022, he was under contract(in his case for 2 more years), like Moton, when we gave him his massive deal, you think either player was going to sit out?
  5. Nice framing of the extension by you. I wonder why your friend didn’t respond positively.
  6. The only reason I'd be open to this is because I feel like Hunter Renfrow can play the same role that Thielen has the last couple years. But I certainly wouldn't ship him off for a late round pick or anything. He's far more valuable to us than that.
  7. GSH is so terribly underrated. He was poetic rap before there was such a thing. He was soulful hip-hop before there was such a thing. Liv Warfield. Was part of Prince's New Power Generation. Her latest vinyl "The Edge" definitely has that Prince vibe, but her lyrics throughout the album are phenomenal.
  8. We should do it--we are loaded at WR. Keeping him on the roster means we cannot add a young guy--let Renfrow be the old veteran-and add some draft capital. We are not winning a super bowl this year, but we are another draft (like this one) away from becoming relevant--when AT would be gone. I worry about Bryce's development too, but maybe have AT gone will HELP his development. XL, TMac, Coker, Renfrow, Horn, Moore, AND Brycen Tremaine is probably better WR depth than we have ever had at the position.
  9. We haven't had New Orleans level cap issues but we also are projected(prior to this deal) to have just $17.7 mil in cap space next season. That's pretty bad when you consider what we are getting in return.
  10. You have to pay for a player of that caliber
  11. One of my non-Panthers serious football fan friends succinctly summed it up...
  12. That’s textbook every team in the NFL. Why else would any team reduce the current year’s cap other than to sign or trade for a player?
  13. so we give him 2 years 40 guaranteed just to free cap space to maybe sign or trade for someone, yep thats classic panthering, textbook actually
  14. No major injuries and draft picks looking solid.
  15. of course the classic panther - "win now season, one player away" part of me wants to bump the cmac ext thread and see where you land in that
  16. Because we haven't drafted anyone worth re-signing in awhile.
  17. of course the classic panther - "win now season, one player away"
  18. He’s saying they’re not going to stack large amounts of money into void years. Not that they’ll never extend a player.
  19. I mean i will actually be pissed if thats the case Freeing that much space seems to indicate a trade being imminent though.
  20. For like the 10th time on this thread, he is signed for the 2025 season to a tune of 31 million. Why the fug wouldnt you simply wait and see?
  21. I need to see the 2026-2028 numbers, because he was already owed 4.8m in signing bonuses from the rework.
  22. https://www.panthers.com/news/combine-notebook-morgan-on-long-range-plan-canales-on-learning-new-roster Morgan on Feb 27 - Sigh "I think we're going to be a little smarter when it comes to the restructuring," Morgan said. "We're going do things the right way, not kind of kick the can down the road. We want to evenly distribute and pay year-to-year as opposed to kicking the can down the road.
  23. Very enthused because football is back but I have a feeling after week 2 I’m going to be bummed out again…
