  1. Past hour
  2. Nah. A road playoff game against a very good New England team in very bad weather without his top two receivers and a banged up offensive line. They couldn’t get the run game going and he was trying to do too much. Houston spent all their resources on defense and it shows. If you put Bryce in that same game without McMillian and Coker, it might have been even worse than CJ’s performance.
  3. So let's add this up, Ickey out for a year+, Horn suffered another concussion (remember Luke?) and our RG who was rushed back from injury sustains another significant one. Yay, pointless playoff game! Anyone who was high enough to think this team had ANY sort of shot to put a run together needs to go to NA.
  4. Yes. I'm more intrigued by Lomu. As I stated earlier, he's not a plug and play guy year 1, but I think he can be a franchise LT with a year of development.
  5. The ESPN article is wrong. This was not an official mistake. Fitzgerald's kick was short of the landing zone, and placing the ball on the 40 was the correct call. Edit: reading more carefully, the article isn't referring to the kickoff after the Panther's touchdown. The box score has the Rams starting on the 35 after the 2nd half kickoff, but maybe that's wrong too? https://www.nfl.com/games/rams-at-panthers-2025-post-1?tab=recap
  6. The ESPN article is wrong. This was not an official mistake. Fitzgerald's kick was short of the landing zone, and placing the ball on the 40 was the correct call.
  7. Not going anywhere in '26, but 2027 is the out spot. Save 14 mil in '27, 18 mil in '28. The contracts are big, but there's outs with him and Lewis both, with Lewis's out starting this year if you want to save 9 mil (but, no). Tillis did his job on these and gave flexibility. Biggest issue right now is who are we replacing them with, which means the '26 and '27 drafts better have some legit OL picks.
  8. OT: Re-sign Nijman, draft an OT in the first 3 rounds and possibly in the 1st. TE: If we don't sign a vet like Cade Otton...Sadiq at 19 looks enticing. LB: Attack in FA and grab one in the first 3 rounds unless we get lucky at Styles is at 19. Edge: Same a LB. They may trust getting Patrick Jones back to not go after someone in FA, but that's also not enough. CB, QB, WR - mid to late round picks
  9. We have our own issues with Bryce but it’s crazy how this franchise was dragged through the media the last 2 years for missing out on CJ Stroud and Caleb Williams *whispers* Bryce played better than both of them in the playoffs the real mistake was mortgaging the future for Bryce when Drake Maye could have been there the next year
  10. This board has a meltdown over literally everything. It means nothing.
  11. O-line: 1 major player for Tackle (draft or FA) and a Center (if we don't resign Mayes). WR: Low pick or good FA signing? D-LIne: Def need a NT and a DE/OLB who can rush the QB. FA or Draft? TE; I don't know what they want to think of what they do? MLB: I think it's out 1st rd pick, but getting another in FA wouldn't hurt, thoughts? DBs; We need another sticky QB to play more man when needed. Again a 1st or 2nd rd pick IMO. S: Everybody says we need a rangy centerfielder, draft or FA? Would you take one high in the draft? I don't use players because there are no guarantees who's there, just asking what makes sense. We know they'll fill "all" the holes in FA and then draft, so which FA are the better ones and which are just 1 year fillers? My thought: FA - Big DT, DE/OLB & MLB. 2 of 3 as those take a which to develop. Draft: MLB or Tackle, DB in the 2nd, DE/OLB in the 3rd. I think they need a solid T if Icki doesn't return better than before and Moton is getting old. I also think thy need to resign BC on the O-line.
  12. Today
  13. Go look at how easy and cheap it is to get Chargers tickets during the regular season and sometimes Rams. It's crazy. Especially with the Chargers, think maybe that might have to do with an extremely pissed off fanbase 2.5 hours South that is absolutely refusing to support the team that left? Think that could be it?
  14. This board would have a meltdown if our defense ever held the Rams to 17 points and Bryce couldnt get us a win and threw 3 picks
  15. St. Louis was the last time they had fans. San Diego, same thing. It's not really a joke as much as a jab at the NFL for putting two teams in a city that didn't care, doesn't care and will never care about the NFL. It's behind baseball, basketball, USC/UCLA, etc. LA is not a pro football city. It never has been.
  16. I loathe both those AFC teams. #1 and #2 most hated, even over division rivals.
  17. No you dont. He had all those records for years before his final season. Whether career or season he had them all years before his final season in which he played 6 games.
  18. Williams covered for Moore by saying they were on the wrong page about Moores specific route. Williams could have easily covered for him by saying he messed up. Suggesting only 1 route was ever intended to be a viable target is absurd.
  19. I am going to agree with Linville this time--I think we need to get a veteran edge (We have Jones II, Scourton, and Princely--2 developmental guys and a decent veteran). We don't really think of Jones because he had a hamstring injury weeks 3 and 4 and a back that required surgery Week 6-17. He still managed 10 pressures, and he will be 28. Princely Umanmielen only played in approximately 18-20% of the snaps and he struggled at times. Basically, he was a situational pass rusher. He got 1.5 sacks and 10 pressures. He should improve, but for now, he is what he is. Scourton gives us hope. For a rookie (and thanks to Jones II's injuries, he was given more PT), he had 8 sacks--and held the edge. He played at a first-round draft pick level. He has the potential to become "that guy" in 2026. We lose Wonnum, who played nearly 700 snaps and amassed 3 whole sacks. For a person raised a Gamecock, I would not be upset if we purged our roster of all South Carolina alumni. However, I see it this way: Wonnum was decent holding the edge, something Patrick Jones II and Scourton have demonstrated at a high level. He is a liability, if you ask me. Jones had 7 sacks one season in Minnesota and is known for his inside rushing ability--not what you would call a speed rusher. I think Princely was a bit disappointing, but he was a bit raw. Out of college, they described him as being a bit predictable. I see no reason he will not improve in 2026 and become a situational pass rusher. Basically, with Scourton and Princely expected to continue to develop and Jones II returning from injury, I think we need another veteran (if we can get a good one) to give us balance and depth. A third developmental player is not ideal. Draft: OT, LB, WR, OL depth, S. Free Agency: Edge, possibly a WR; re-sign Mays, Cuhran, BC (??), and Nijman. Let walk: Wonnum, Scott, Dowdle. I see about $20m per year after signing the OL depth. Spend it on a veteran edge. Players like Reddick (Tampa), Bosa (Buffalo), Khalil Mack (LAC) could be available on a one or two year deal in the $15m range. We could splurge here, but I think a veteran situational pass rusher (depending on Jones II's back) is all we need while our 2 young guns develop.
  20. Plays aren't designed to go to only one receiver. Qbs go through progressions for a reason. Primary or not the other routes are viable options.
  21. Worst QB ever? No Worst QB to start for 4 straight seasons? Yes, and it isn't even close
  22. I'd never be against taking an offense or defensive lineman
  23. By the time Ekwonu is back, Moton will be out the door. If he ever comes back that is - to me you have to act like his career is over and it's a bonus if you get anything more from him.
  24. The dude that was erased from the game by Mauigoa's teammate, Bell in the Playoff game. Bell isn't considered a 1st round talent.
  25. CJ Stroud going to flame out if he doesn't watch out..
  26. This play was never designed to go to either DJ or Odunze. The primary read is Burden who is stymied early, with the outlet being Kmet if Caleb doesn't like the option for Burden. Given the situation it's pretty obvious the simple play is to take the free yards with Kmet, or if you want to be aggressive just wait a beat longer for Burden to uncover on his double move. If Moore was ever going to be a viable target in this play then Caleb should have started out reading Odunze to hold the safety in the middle and then coming to Moore, but because he started the snap staring down the right and then came back to the middle late it made it where the safety's leverage remained to the outside of Moore, so he would never have imagined that pass actually being thrown to him in that situation. Realistically DJ's best option in that context is to just occupy the safety to leave a hole open for Caleb to get it to Burden, which is probably why he throttles down vs carrying the safety across.
