Wonder if that is because he can cheat his safeties to the other side?
-
Yea its kind of weird. Horn doesnt shadow and always stays on the short side of the field.
-
The thing I notice about this? Watch Scourton. The man is going to be a beast in the NFL--no quit. He runs about 60 yards on this play. And when Love runs back across the field, he takes a great angle.
-
Its crazy how many of the people downplaying Canales or outright bashing him for this game are the same ones who really wanted Wilks as head coach
-
So funny see people continue to talk like Darnold isn’t one of the best QBs in the NFL for the second season in a row. Two different teams and situations, he is for real and not just a product of the system. He struggles under pressure lol what QB doesn’t? Did anyone watch Mahomes in the SB?
-
While I was aware that Horn does not shadow WR1 I learned something interesting in the game from one of the announcers ... Horn ALWAYS plays the short side of the field. As in, he will switch sides when the ball moves from one hash tag to the other. It seems intuitive that short side of field equals easier route coverage (correct me if I'm wrong) and expanding further I wonder if Mike Jackson was put into that role would his stats improve? If Horn is such a shut down corner, why isn't he just following the biggest WR threat around the field? Is there something inherently harder about covering the short side of the field? Why make life easier for your best CB?

I wonder what the true state of Chuba's calf is? I remember it being mentioned a couple of times last year that it was something they were managing then after the Cardinals game last year we put him on IR. He then reinjured it this year. That would seem to explain why he looks slower and less explosive than in years past. Chubas running style was a one cut explode through the hole type of back and it just doesn't look like he has that ability right now.

I mean to be real, the offense was Rico Dowdle. There were some head scratching play calls and blown chances on offense. The wind may have been a factor, but the offense barely did enough to win. Now the defense did excellent, especially in the red zone. That unit won the game. Big change over getting blasted by the same exact play over and over against the Bills

You can downplay the decision to take the ball first and have field choice in the second half all you want. But our game plan was to control the ball and give us a chance to win down the stretch. The defensive game plan was good, and they kept the game close. That decision was a huge factor in our win. We got in position to win going in the direction of better field goal possibilities. So many haters can't just enjoy the win. It was a defensive battle, and we scored TDs while they were kicking field goals. The Panthers had a good game plan and they won because of it. That's on Canales. Just like last weeks game plan. it was terrible and it was on Canales. ' -
This You can tell the team believes in Bryce. Especially the other leaders on this team and that stuff matters

Throw in Pat Jones II and Rozebloom, when’s the last time we’ve gone into FA and gotten great contribution without going nuts on spending this is better than the year we got Ken Lucas and Mike Wahle based off Morgan’s performance early on the only thing stopping this team is David Tepper if he decides he wants to meddle again

No doubt. He did a great job on Parsons. Parsons was a nonfactor. -
It’s always great to get your star player back. He seemed like his ankle was better yesterday. I hope he is back to 100 percent by next week.
-
Rico is making the decision for them. You can’t let Rico leave I’d cut Chuba this offseason. Money aside I think ETN is a better fit for this offseason than Chuba is and would like to see him get some carries as well
-
Seeing how well Rico has been playing in this offense part of me wonders what a healthy Jonathon Brooks could've done. I hope he can get healthy and rolling cause he's easily the most physically gifted RB on our team.
-
He's the starting QB. We should be happy he's back. When you look at QBs like Joe Burrow, as talented as he is, he can't stay healthy. I give Young props for manning up and playing through the pain. He was definitely not 100%.
-
Rico is 3rd in the NFL in rushing despite only being the main back for 3 games. He's been the more physical back between him and Chuba and he just seems to set a certain tone of physicality when he's the one carrying the football. You have to find a way to bring him back and sort out the other pieces after that. I think you have to deal Chuba by the deadline while his value is still somewhat modest. If we wait till the off-season other teams will just prefer to wait and see what's in the draft.
-
It seems like when you guys found out Bryce was coming back it totally energized your team.
-
How is Xavier Legette? I honestly didn’t like the hard hit on him by us. I hope he’s ok.
-
We were playing one of the best defenses in the league. He wasn't brilliant but he got the job done. The conditions were terrible and he lead us on two TD scoring drives. Not only that but we kept Parsons almost invisible. I know he's not a top 5 QB but we lose with Dalton.
-
Honestly not sure if I can watch next weeks game. I don’t want to go through another loss. I will watch it though.
-
He runs so hard. Watching him play through the groin pain was inspiring. You could clearly see he was hurting but he wasn't going to let the team down. WE NEED 53 just like him.
