The top QB in the draft is expected to elevate the players around him. Clausen didnt have that same level of expectation. There isn't a right way. You take advantage of the opportunities you have. Finding the right mix is almost an art form or luck. Right situation, right GM, right coach, right players. With as much money as the NFL has, if there was a way to build a successful team every team would be trying to build the same way. Ben is just leaning into his bias because that was how it worked with him and he had great success.
