https://packerswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2025/08/26/packers-reportedly-releasing-veteran-linebacker-isaiah-simmons-at-final-roster-cuts/85830525007/ The infamous Derrick Brown or Isaiah Simmons debate on this forum in 2020 has come full circle. Is Simmons a good LB, no. Is his better then Claudin Cherelus, no doubt. What are your guys thoughts of bringing in this Clemson legend?

Coaching jobs. GM jobs. Player futures. Free agents looking at Carolina as a destination place to play. None of these roster cute or adds won’t mean Jack poo. It all comes down to three things. Bryce playing well, oline blocking and Dline stopping the run or getting pressure. If I had to boil it to just one, it’s Bryce. If he is poo, the team will be poo. If he plays well, that will allow the d to rest and feel energized. It all starts with Bryce. that is a ton of pressure for the kid. Hope he is ready.

Evero guy. I am starting to wonder if we are actually gonna fire this dude. -
I get it. Games can be lost on special teams

Sadly this could be true

Moore made it for special teams. That's what he does. Special teams and can step in last year for a couple games if players get injured. If you are deep on the WR list and can't play special teams you aren't making the team.

Yeah, I can’t say I’ve kept up with him closely the last couple years, but I am kind of surprised because I thought he had turned a corner a couple years ago with AZ. -

DJ Johnson is the new Ian Thomas. Just need to sign him to a 3 year extension now -
I agree. Moore is a marginal NFL player. And the advanced analytics bear out that he isn’t very good, but in fact, is more of a minus than a plus. But we always have to have those guys that we can’t explain as to why they’re on our roster for years. Honestly, it was the same poo we just did with Plummer. He should’ve never been on any NFL roster, let alone ours for two years. Then he gets cut after this preseason, and not just cut, but cut first. Like I took our FO two years to figure out he wasn’t just bad, but horrible.

I got no issue w/ Horn taking a spot. I don't love him as a week 1 PR guy though. I mean, if they cut Renfrow and Moore? I'd be like......sucks but I get it. Moore being on the roster just highlights negatives about our decision makers....and you know it isn't going to just be Moore where they exercise their bad decision making. We are where we are because of it.

As long as he is a serious contributor on ST yeah it makes sense to have a guy who can be a third stringer at a few other positions. I don't know anything bout the Packers roster or why he was let go, but we are in a pretty different situation than them -
David Moore. The new Ian Thomas.

Jordan Schultz @Schultz_Report · 50m Sources: The #Ravens are releasing CB Jalyn Armour-Davis. The former Alabama star should find a new home soon. -
We'll see. I'll be keeping tabs on the snap counts for Moore versus the younger receivers.

Yeah, for all of his “lacking a natural position,” he still would probably be the best ILB on our roster, and one of the better safeties. -
It’s currently ranked as one of the most crime infested cities in US and apparently no one in Charlotte knows how to fix it. Latest statistic showed that you have 1 in 134 chance to be a victim of violent crime. Just this past Friday at South End light rail station around 9pm, 23 year old girl was beaten and stabbed to death by violent offender who has been released out of jail on numerous occasions after committing felonious acts. He has no idea why he murdered her. Sheriff department does not keep violent offenders locked up but simply releases them back on the streets.

Jordan Schultz @Schultz_Report · 27m Sources: The #Chargers are releasing veteran S and fan-favorite Tony Jefferson. Jefferson turned in an outstanding preseason, posting a 93.5 PFF grade, and is beloved in the locker room. Still has plenty left in the tank.

no issue from me on Brycen. I'm pro youth and potential. I don't even care about Renfrow getting cut in a vaccum. But keeping Moore over him and just on the roster at all at this point......just highlights we are still poorly run. Upgrading over Moore is child's play for a front office. Yet we can't do it.

I’m not worried about PR. Horn did it some in college, but even watching him in preseason, he’s a natural at it. He has shiftiness and playmaking ability naturally as well. but I absolutely do think HR, nursing a hammy or not, should 1000% be on this roster over Moore.
