  1. Past hour
  2. I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
  3. I must apologize, my sarcasm at times doesnt translate well in text form lol. At this point I would welcome us signing him, Trey Lance, trading for Jameis Winston, asking about Deshaun Watson and playing phone tag with Tom Brady before I ever fully entertain a season of Bryce Young being the defacto Starting Quarterback of the Panthers.
  4. Petey Pablo raises up for the Carolina Panthers pregame at the Roaring Riot tailgate. videoplayback (30).mp4
  5. We had a QB who could do that and its the last time we went to the Super Bowl and the only time we had an MVP. Once he lost his ability to do that he was out of the league. To filter out insignificant stats I will only look at QBs who have played in 10 or more games this year. There are 28 qualifying QBs. Bryce is 25th in Air Yards per Attempt at 6.4. Only Joe Flacco, Cam Ward, and Dillon Gabriel are worse (6.0, 5.8, 5.1). Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Mahomes, and CJ Stroud are the median QBs at 7.1. Drake Maye and Sam Darnold lead the league at 8.7. Bryce is 18th in the league for passes that travel 30+ yards at 12. The median is Caleb Williams at 15. The league leader is Matthew Stafford with 26. With passes that travel 40+ yards, Bryce is tied with three others at 21st in the league with 3. Only Jacoby Brissett, Cam Ward, Joe Flacco, and Dillon Gabriel are worse. The median is a three-way tie with Drake Maye, Trevor Lawrence, and Baker Mayfield with 6. The league leader is Sam Darnold with 12. Having the ability to complete passes down the field (not YAC) stretches the defense and makes them account for more ground. It keeps players out of the box and keeps formations in nickel or dime, less line backers for your RBs to worry about. Bryce is why we have 2 losses against the Saints. If he had the outright ability to sling the football down field we beat the easily, but he doesn't. So they crowded the box and our 2 starting caliber RBs with our top ~10 Oline couldn't carry the offense to a win on their own. The limitations of the offense fall squarely on Bryce.
  6. Bryce’s deep passes are intermediate passes for other strong armed QBs. I will say that Bryce’s accuracy on his deep passes have improved. Before they would just sail out of bounds. Now the WR actually has a fighting chance on the ball.

  8. And Dilfer won a SB, idc. Almost impossible to miss the playoffs when you have that good of a defense
  9. Yooooooooo... WTF is this hairline bro??? It's OVER! Shave it off my man!
  10. He's a free agent next year actually. Wish we had the balls to bring him in to compete, looking around the league though he might get a legit starting offer or at least an offer to compete somewhere that he would control his own destiny.
  11. I don't love Bryce Young. I DO understand his abilities as a QB. I dont expect him to do things that are beyond that. I also dont hold it against him. The ability to throw 40 yards in with the velocity to take your receivers hands off, doesn't have the impact on the game as people think it does. I think it's a pretty silly thing to even attempt to debate, when the ones crying about it doesn't add context. Bryce can and does throw deep. His last TD to T-Mac was a thing of beauty, and the ball placement was incredible, especially for the distance of the throw. I get it y'all want to talk all day about his physical limitations, rather than look at what he does, and does well. We wouldn't be playing meaningful football in December without him. That is a fact. Bryce doesn't fit the mold of my type of QB, but I don't hold that against him. That is beyond stupid.
  12. Your wrong. I dont love Bryce. Until you can speak of him without being biased one way or another, there is zero point taking about him to you, or anyone else. Not all QBs are the same. In fact, very few are just alike. I didn't ignore anything. It just taking to you about something your raised in a negative way, is like bashing my hand with a hammer.
  13. Im happy were at least in the playoffs but will we go anywhere, heck no. I really think you guys have a better chance than us in the playoffs.
  14. He played well but had to leave the game late with the shoulder injury from last week flaring up. His last couple of passes looked like Bryce balls. They were completed but they had no juice.
  15. The Packers could've had any QB in NFL history tonight and it wouldn't have mattered. Their D had NO answer to Derrick Henry.
  16. It’s like Billy Bean took his on base percentage to the NFL. Zzzz. Yes it might work but watching it in action is boring.
  17. Seriously. Bro got called up from the PS just to hit a guy right in the hands and for it to turn into an INT. Damn...
  18. This one hurts. Losing at home hurts more for some reason.
  19. Probably talking about two different things but I think they intersect at the point of backyard football with the shift to prioritizing athleticism. Because athleticism pays off without having to do the development. You see it in OTs when scouts don’t know how to assess their aptitude for the pro game. 10-15 years at least. And you see it in the QBs too. I think it goes with the overall thing in society where instant gratification trumps all these days. If you buy into that.
  20. How’s he looking now? On the train home
  21. Depends on the injury. The Dolphins let that mindset cost them Drew Brees. Not like we'd be looking at giving him big money anyway. I just want someone who can come in and give us options if (when) Bryce starts looking like typical Bryce again next year. Malik Willis, Sam Howell, Marcus Mariota. Gimme somebody along those lines. Not washed up Dalton. If we have one of those other three guys I think we have probably already washed our hands of Bryce because I doubt he gets back on the field after he missed a game earlier this year. He wasn't playing well and Canales had already benched him last year. If we had a capable #2 I think that would've been curtains.
  22. "and it seems he's hurt his throwing shoulder" from the history we have with those, the interest is gone.
  23. That INT ain't in the third string QB. Hit the receiver right in the hands.
