  1. Glad we got something back for him in the end but the way this team squanders talent is taking a toll on my fandom ngl.
  2. Richardson will fall to us unless he has an awesome combine. They’ll have to trade up if they want Young, Stroud, or Levis.
  3. This thread stiiiiiiiiinks. The kid is 21 and the whole team plays better when he’s distributing. Prime Steph or KD on wouldn’t make this group into contenders but you’re ready to write off the most talented player in the team’s history? Because he can’t Lebron a bottom barrel squad into the Finals singlehandedly? Good grief.
  4. What does "full control" entail really and how is that any different than just having a GM on HC on the same page? Rivera and Fox weren't considered those sort of guys that but did Hurney ever block them from doing anything? We don't exactly have a football brain trust to protect in Carolina. Either we bring in a coach and give them the power to rebuild the place or find someone who basically just acts on Fitterer's behalf and no accomplished coach is going to agree to that.
  5. https://sports.yahoo.com/hornets-deny-contract-negotiations-with-miles-bridges-after-his-domestic-violence-arrest-232208370.html Source is a brief statement from the team in an Observer opinion piece: Did Klutch Sports leak false info to Woj for leverage or is the team reversing course after the reaction? Good news either way.
  6. I might be giving players the benefit of doubt but I feel like there's a development window a lot of young guys have, and if it's missed due to bad coaching or whatever they get stunted badly in the NFL. I hope that's not the case for Terrace but it's looking like that way
  7. I disagree but that's because I don't really count Darnold's first stint for various reasons. DA throwing a pick on the opening play is pretty low. Darnold had a couple of genuine dimes and even a Newtonian escape from pressure yesterday.
  8. Darnold solidified himself as the veteran/backup/stopgap for me. He's like a notch above Derek Anderson. He can't carry but he's an effective game manager when the pass protection holds up.
  9. Wilks deserves consideration, maybe even to be the default choice if we aren't impressed with anyone else, but I think he lost the job not being able to contain Evans. The secondary is supposed to be his bag and he dropped it. If he doesn't have great offensive or defensive prowess he's just a respected locker room personality.
  10. Being emotionally invested but only finding joy in winning is an unhealthy way to be a sports fan.
  11. Complications with my daughter's birth in 2020 led to her having a stroke only a few weeks old and almost losing her. I learned to take nothing in life for granted. Cherish all the joys life brings because they aren't guaranteed and they can be taken away from you at anytime. The Panthers are a trivial one in the grand scheme of it all. If watching football and following this team through thick and thin doesn't entertain you there's better uses of your time.
  12. Time to see whether Sam can keep his cool or if the ghosts come back
  13. It’s mostly for the events. For the soccer team it’s only about the aesthetic of faded lines, it’s not a big deal. Richest owner in the league just needs to stop being cheap.
  14. I thought we all hated the turf we should be celebrating this. Unless there’s some sort of mandated upkeep the team neglected they wouldn’t have filed a grievance over grass being too hard.
  15. Of course when I start watching less Williams arrives
  16. This. I'd prefer Richardson over Levis but ultimately I just want the coaching staff committed to developing whoever they choose.
  17. Christian just wants the ball as much as possible and Rhule's the best man for that job. From Shaq's comments I take it Rhule pushed the old guard aside to assert his authority while giving his favorites free reign to do whatever. Robby was allowed to act out unchecked and Christian got the ball every snap whether it was working or not.
  18. We're going to have to bite the bullet on a short term deal with Sam. Even with a draft pick and Corral there's too much uncertainty at the position to just let him walk, we'd likely replace him with another vet anyway.
  19. Only thing that's changed with Sam is he trusts his pass protection for the first time in his career. He may get better naturally as his confidence grows but McAdoo is doing the same sort of system we've been trying to implement since Cam's exit, it's just working now because we have an offensive line worth a damn.
  20. The head start is a huge advantage for him. Hire an outside coach and at least one year is going to be spent getting acclimated and rebuilding if not two.
  21. Would bring some poetic closure to our first Super Bowl. Beat him straight up though. Rooting for harm is wack and do you really want to hear “WHAT IF BRADY HADN'T GOTTEN INJURED” for the rest of eternity?
  22. I’m out if this happens it’s been real fellas. Extra gross because kids love LaMelo and he’ll be a gateway to rooting for an abuser.
