Well that's different...Staley as guest speaker.

Definitely didn't come out good as new. My athletics dreams were over from that point on due to glass severing a nerve in my leg. Tried to reattach but couldn't get to it quick enough, you know, life over limb saying. Played travel ball, school ball, pretty much everything at a relatively high level for a 13 year old of the time. BUT, my now 12 year old seems to be on a trajectory to eventually be able to go play baseball on scholarship so I'm here for it. Thanks for the kind words! -
He literally coached football with majority of the roster being a minority. If he were racist, as was proclaimed, he wouldn't have made it as far as he did. He made comments that, if someone of the same melanin count made about the guy, would have been fine. He got to comfortable and said what he felt like saying because he's been one of the guys for what, 30+ years? Then someone leaked it without context, without explanation, and tried to ruin the guys life. Cancel culture is dead, thank god. I'd love to see Gruden make a come back to television calling games. Thursday Night Football could desperately use him because right now, the broadcast is atrocious,

He is the only thing that has made Monday Night Football watcheable the past 20 years. Peyton and Eli have added something as well but I like Gruden.

As an old VT fan from the Vick days (I was a kid, come on) I’d love to see Beamer at Tech. When I was 13 I was hit by a car, sent through the windshield and lodged in the glass while the car hit a tree. Died once. anyway, when I woke up, I predictably had a lot of cards and other things but my aunt brought one and it was a hand written card from Frank Beamer. Now this was in 2004 at the height of Hokie power, and I was at Carolinas Medical Center. To get a handwritten card hand delivered in Charlotte, that far from Blacksburg, from the man himself was a great feeling. I’ll forever be a Beamer family fan. -

Bill Belichik obviously. Wouldn’t mind it and I’d love to see the video. The dude knows football. -
He's probably made $40 million. Taxes, agents, money managers, etc. I could live on $40 million, and who am I to judge how much money is enough for one person? If they want more and have the means to get it reasonably without physically harming others, go for it. I'm not one to be envious of what others have though.

Ickey is looking at a new contract as a back-up elsewhere. Certainly not here. I get the NC State fans and Charlotte nativists want to see him succeed, as we all do, but he's been hot garbage in the most important times. now he's being beat like a drum by a rookie. Even in shorts and shirts, that's embarrassing. I still think that had Ickey not been playing in 2022, Darnold would still be here. His complete meltdown against the Bucs was the butterfly wing flapping.
-
You missed the multiple interceptions, off target throws, etc. which is fine because it's camp, but he's still got some of the same issues cropping up.
-
Fans were allowed at camp until this year soo....
-
Coker is nothing close to Theilen. Come on man. The closest thing the Panthers could get to Adam would have been Matthew Golden.
-
Armanti Edwards made a lot of plays in camp as well. And I'm an App State fan. Camp means nothing in terms of individual performance in season. Preseason games mean next to nothing in terms of individual performances; though wins and losses do seem to correlate to team success. I want to see him succeed and the team to succeed but we've run this experiment before. We also had DJ Chark who is incredibly similar to McMillan.
-
Meanwhile Matthew Golden is averaging about 25 yards of separation at Packers camp and making catches that are easy because HE CAN GET OPEN. He will make plays like this from time to time but at what cost? What will it cost Bryce to get him the ball in constantly tight coverage? How many more sacks might Bryce take waiting for him to break open? We really should have looked at what Bryce had at Alabama and tried to work with that. The Dolphins did this with Waddle and Hill. Golden would have made so much more sense here.
-
We didn’t need a 50/50 ball receiver. We need guys who can create separation for Bryce to pinpoint the ball to at all levels of the defense. Tet may figure it out a few years from now but he will struggle to beat man coverage due to his lack of acceleration and what seems to be relatively slim frame. The offense functioned much better with Theilen last season because of his ability to create separation from defenders. I don’t know why but that is Bryce’s go-to rather than a 50/50 ball which, in the NFL, is a throw you may make two times per game. i wanted Tyle Warren because I feel he can end up being very much like Kelci and how he operates in space and how that chemistry between he and Mahomes doesn’t need a playbook. Then you’ve got Matthew Golden who is apparently burning everyone at Packers camp right now. He is very much like Antonio Brown. We clearly made the pick we made so I should get over it. I think everyone is hoping for Mike Evans here but at best I think we may get a smaller DK Metcalf? Given what we know about his inability to break coverage at UA-Tuscon, it’s going to be even harder in THA LEAGUE.
-
Would rather have had Matthew Golden if we were going to go receiver. He’s going to go for 1,000 plus this year. Reminds me a lot of Antonio Brown.
-
I’ve seen college players doing this in warm-ups purposefully. It shows his reach I guess but at this point I’m not sold that Horn won’t end up being more beneficial considering the type of ball Bryce likes to play.
-
Brown had over 100 tackles as a defensive tackle. Assuming he remains healthy, if he continues those stats he will be considered “generational”
-
Getting to the NFL is a major accomplishment. Being a first round draft pick is only something 32 people get to say once a year. That is a huge accomplishment. He probably was relieved that he made it and that the uncertainty of the draft process was over. He didn’t shift gears quick enough and what happened, happened. I don’t know that he will ever be a true number one receiver, personally I like him better as a two which is why I wanted Matthew Goldman or whatever his name is but it is what it is.
-
Well it saves on cash if you can rely on a rotation of guys because your front seven is so good. Ron Rivera made Kurt Coleman look like a god, for example.

Wild Idea.. Trade for Shemar Stewart

This is old but they literally signed Burrow, and two receivers to crazy deals. The Bengals wanted their cake and to eat it too. -
Hunter Biden had bags but he left them in the West Wing I'm hearing.
-
Bryce didn't torch the Jets at all. It was consistently short and dump off passes that moved the team from the 20 to the 40 and stalled, every time.
-
Couldn’t disagree with you more. The Eagles showed you what investing in the front seven will do. Ignore it all you want.

Frank comment about Bryce? "Excited"
CPcavedweller replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
He didn't have a QB in Indy when lucky abruptly retired. Then Luck, who is the General Manager at Stanford, hires Frank to bring him in there. That says enough to me about Franks character to know the characterizations of his time here are more or less wrong, and that the blame resides with where it has always resided, and that's with Meddlin' Tepper. He's like the Scoobie Doo gang. Constantly meddling and ruining the desire of the team to win. -

And Charles Johnson is potentially the most overhyped, over paid Panthers player in franchise history. So I guess they are even. -

Frank is a man of integrity. What you describe is not only unethical but anti-thetical to the person that everyone who has been around Frank says about him. The offense was bad. Period. The team, I think, was disappointed that Wilkes wasn't retained and that the team didn't build off of the backend of 2022, instead opting for a full rebuild, again.
