1st: TRADE! Panthers trade away 8, 153, 2022 1st and 3rd for pick 3. 3: Justin Fields- Panthers are rumored to Love this kid. And a Lot of what Fitterer/Rhule is describing, you see Fields. Putting my ear on the ground and listen/reading what they say. I feel very much on this Prediction as my Brian Burns prediction the other year. Fields also reminds me personally of Watson coming out who also fell some despite the tools. The new QB coach we brought in who coached Watson will be a nice Pair with Fields. 2nd: TRADE! Yes again. The LA Rams aggressively trade away 57 and 101 to move up for edge rusher Azeez Ojulari. 57: Richie Grant- Rhule fell in love. You could see the twinkle in his eye. Not only is Rhule the reason for this pick. We talk about Fitterer drafting that Defense for Seattle. And the Defenses identity was the Legion of Boom. The Legion of Boom wasnt just known because Sherman. It was know because the Safety Duo of Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas. You better believe Fitterer will love the Future going forward with Chinn and Grant together in the middle of the secondary. 73: James Hudson- Hudson is a High Ceiling OT prospect who slips into the 3rd with such a deep OT crop this year. Hudson is fairly New to the OT position, the former defensive player made the transition to OT in 2017. He transferred and had to sit out the 2019 season. Finally getting his chance this year in 2020, he flashed. He followed up with a good senior bowl week. Seattle (where Fitterer is coming from) never really hit OL Heavy early. Since 2012, 2 of their 9 2nd rd picks have been OL and only 1 1st rd pick. On par with the Panthers in that time frame. They've hit on FA, Trades, and late rd picks on the OL. Hudson fits that developmental guy this staff looks for 101: Aaron Banks- over a Overall rock Solid OG, who while has a good ceiling, its not quite as high as some of the guys that go before him. Again, falls due to depth of the position. Banks comes right in and can become a impact starter right away on the OL where both of our starters from the 2020 season are FA's 113: Jaylen Twyman- Good Value Pick here. Twyman, some felt he would be a borderline 1st rd DL coming into this season. A little small but good athlete, his stock has dropped some after sitting out this season and some other guys jumping him. We have needed a nice penetrating 3-tech for a while since KK started getting hurt. Brown was a Beast this season, but he also was among the top of the league in Double Teams seen. In comes a guy like Twyman next to him to compliment him, and we're looking at one of the top DL in the NFL, especially if he comes close to his potential. 185: Shi Smith- one guy who had a a good week on Rhule's Senior Bowl roster was Smith. It is Highly unlikely Samuel is back for the Panthers next year. And Smith is a good option to fill that Slot/WR3 role.

My $$ is on Fields. Wilson goes to the Jets at 2 Texans don't budge off Watson by the Draft. We reportedly Love Fields, and I see why. As a lot of the stuff they describe in what they want in a QB describes Fields. Fields also reminds me of Watson when he was coming out. Our new QB Coach who cosched Watson is perfect to work with Fields. Plus Tepper will be thrilled to snag a Georgia kid before division rival Atlanta can.

Peter King on Panthers and Deshaun Watson
ncfan replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Think everyone outside of Burns, Chinn, Brown, and Moore should be on the table -
The same guy who coached up and talked up Jimmy Clausen, now talking up Jones?
-
I feel like its a given now that Moton will be back now. But with the amount of cap $$ opened (I believe I saw we're top 6 in the league) What's your feeling on Curtis Samuel? Or do you think we may use some of this $$ elsewhere at another position. Like tapping into this FA CB crop (Patrick Peterson, Xavier Rhodes, etc)
-
If he comes back healthy, and the OL is slightly improved. Yes, yes he will be back. Also having a OL who will complete 20+ yard passes. This will help as well, keeping the box from crowing. And keep safety's from coming up and helping the LBs on check downs.

Does anyone think that if there is a higher iOL or Defensive player overall on the board rds 2-4, that Rhule skips OT and gives Little another shot. I have been the biggest Little Critic since he came out. But i will admit, he Has shown a few flashes at times. Has anyone heard anything about his health as well recently? @Zod @RoaringRiot @Verge

Next year is the 3rd year of his 3 year deal.

Teddy Bridgewater Unfollows Panthers on Instagram

Went and checked Panthers still follow him. He doesn't follow them back. -

We will see. Apparently people up in Philly with "sources" are claiming they are in the QB market. I know the guys at the draftnetwork, 2 of them mentioned on their podcast said they recently spoke to some Eagles beat writers and others in Philly. And they said "Eagles Are in the QB market." "They Aren't sold on Hurts." "The reason for the Eagles wanting and holding out for the 1st smoke, was them wanting that 1st for Capital to move up. Also Ben Solak at Draftnetwork is a Big Philly guy, and he has fully changed his tune and predicting them making a move for a QB like all of our beat writers.

Think the Eagles will try to move up for a QB. But not sure they get aggressive.

Dolphins have received many calls for pick number 3
ncfan replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yes im playing the what if, and its the most likely. You upgrade your roster, you get your team back healthy after being hit with injuries last year. You SHOULD be better than this year. So yes, looking a year out, unles this team completely implodes, they will be better and will be drafting outside the top 10. That's not a "what if" thats a known. -
Id love to be able to grab Patrick Peterson. Highly unlikely, but with his age, recent suspension for I believe PEDs, strong projected draft CB crop, and solid FA group. He may not cost as much as people think around here. But with our limited cap, it still may be to much for us.

So you want to start PJ, with CMC back and a BPA like a Pitts. So you're complaining about trading from 8 to 3 How are you going to feel trying to trade from 12 into the top 3 for a Sam Howell next year instead? -

3 Litterally pick 3. -
1st one, I'd probably throwup. 2nd one. Absolutely Love the 1st and 3rd pick. Not sure I like the Ossai pick. Considering edge rusher is at the bottom of needs with this team.

This is a Steal. For those complaining that this is too much. You may as well quit watching football because you're going to be very disappointed. The value and hunger for a Top QB in this league is Very High. And the amount of teams wanting to move up for a QB mae it even higher. He11, Matt Stafford just went for 2 1sts and a starting QB who's been to a superbowl. I've seen Dolphins writers say they would want 8, 40, and next years 1st just to begin the talks. And if we dont get one this year. Your going to be REALLY sticker shocked when we have to move from 12 to inside the top 5.

Is anyone else still being billed the $5 a month that we were being charged for AP? I noticed in Jan and just noticed I got charged again in Feb

If a QB isn’t there at 8... Slater is your pick
ncfan replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hard yikes Real hard Yikes. 1. He is shorter than listed. He is closer to 6'4 2. 99.9999% of every scout out there had a mid 2nd rd grade on him coming Off last year. Then he shoots up to a High 1st, without even playing a snap this year? Im not touching him until the late 1st early 2nd at the earliest.
