  1. My gut tells me 3 tackles will go off the board before we pick, either that or I've eaten too much for breakfast. We could be looking at a top DE or CB falling right into our lap. That would help us to trade down if we don't pick a mediocre QB.
  2. I sure as hell hope this isn't evidence that we're looking to draft a QB at 6th. The 2022 QB class looks like a collection of backup QBs at the pro level. Those guys are going to be holding clipboards.
  3. Then that tells me Tepper thinks 3 LTs are going to be picked in the draft ahead of us. In that case we can take BPA, and that might be Kayvon Thibodeaux
  4. In that case the better option is to draft a rookie QB in 2023. We'll get our LT in this draft. Things are coming together without breaking the bank for Watson. Now about the 2022 season... I have some bad news... we going to get our asses kicked.
  5. I had a bad feeling when Vegas greatly increased the Saints odds of winning the SB, and our odds stayed the same.
  6. Yeah Minshew would be fine for cheap. He can be the placeholder until we draft a QB in 2023. He's spunky and sure to entertain if nothing else. Or hell send Sam out there and let's get into a rage and call for his head. 2022 is a wrap either way. Just find something entertaining about the season other than winning.
  7. I'm perfectly fine Minshewmania for a cheap price. Hell if nothing else it will be entertaining to watch him run for his little life in terror if things don't go well. We're not doing anything in 2022 regardless, but if you love watching Minshew play then sure I'd go along with that.
  8. His mistakes of Bridgewater and Darnold are more than enough to fire him now. He's still here because he got a 7 year mega contract imo.
  9. So now we have to take our medicine in the 2022 season. We're going to get destroyed, but our franchise will be rewarded with one the top picks in the 2023 draft. That draft has the potential to yield a franchise QB, unlike the 2022 draft which is poop for QBs. I wanted Watson at a fair price, but Watson knew better than to come here. I wouldn't come here either if I were Watson. This is the time when we need to painfully take a beating on Sunday with the future in mind. The 2022 draft should give us a LT for the rookie QB we draft in 2023. We pay the price now and throughout 2022, and then we hit the home run in 2023 hopefully. Slow, boring, disappointing, soul crushing, but the end is in site. The 2023 draft is everything at this point. If Rhule trades our 2023 first round pick, then I will leave the forum until he is fired.
  10. If Rhule trades away our 2023 first round pick I won't have to worry about Rhule because I'm done.
  11. The worst thing we can do at this point is trade away future draft picks for a washed up veteran QB. Our future could be bright if we can land a top QB prospect in the 2023 draft. If our first round 2023 picks is traded away then I will go on a long rant here, and then I'm leaving until Rhule is fired.
  12. (Soon-to-be) Panthers RB D’Onta Foreman tries recruiting QB Deshaun Watson https://sports.yahoo.com/soon-panthers-rb-d-onta-040024544.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall
  13. The way we got out of QB limbo last time was Hurney drafted Pickles, we lost 15 games, and we drafted Cam Newton. We nearly won the SB, and would have gone back had he not busted his shoulder imo. That is how quickly you can turn it around. Those top couple of draft picks are pure gold in a season where top QB prospects are available. Counting on a Brady or Watson to pop up in free agency and fall in love with how well we did with a lower tier QB is not something that I would ever make a plan for. You plan for the draft.
  14. The Saints have been trotting out a first ballot HoF QB with a HoF Coach for 14 years and developed a reputation for great offense long term. That is what impressed Watson, and he still might come here instead. If we gain an incredible reputation for great offense and great coaching staff after over a decade of having a HoF QB and coach THEN I might change my approach, but not likely.
  15. Baker is not good enough for us to be one of the top teams in the NFL in the future. Having a lower tier competent QB is actually the worst case scenario for the Panthers imo. Baker would be good enough to keep us out of the top ten of the draft, but NEVER good enough for us to even sniff the SB imo. That is QB limbo. That is the worst thing a football team can do. Better that we start Darnold in 2022, and draft a top prospect in 2023. No more QB limbo under any circumstances. Bottom out and pick a top QB, or land Watson. Don't do ANYTHING else.
  16. I think Watson behind our retooled o-line, throwing to DJ, CMC, Robby, and Terrace should produce a good passing offense. We know what CMC can in do running the ball. Losing a couple pieces from our defense will of course lower our defensive performance. It is no major task to replace defensive players in the long run. Securing a franchise QB could take many years, and even then there is no guarantee you'll land one in the draft. Maybe, maybe not. So long as we don't have a franchise QB we are not winning the SB. Missing some defenders is nothing to worry about in the long run.
  17. And if we do too well all the sports media outlets will repeat the same line "worst 12-0, 13-0 ect team of all time."
  18. Not if there is something negative to report. We took over every media outlet when Hardy had his scandal. Round the clock Panthers coverage.
