We can't even load the box and stop the run.

Buffalo, and the two TB games will be losses imo. That's 5-9. The other games are 50/50. I think we're probably headed to 7-10.

Jackson is vulnerable against the deep ball. We've always known this to be true, but when the pass rush plays well, or the opposing QB sucks, it's not a factor. Tall track star WRs can run past him, and then beat him for the jump ball if it's under thrown. What to do? In the future you want Horn and CJ on the #1 and #2 WRs, and Jackson in the slot. CJ should actually be starting over Jackson, but Rhule and Jackson have been talking about how brilliant Jackson has been playing. Like Jackson is on some sort of different level mentally like Michael Jordan or something. This narrative helps to justify Jackson starting over CJ, but it makes no sense because Jackson is screwing up more than CJ. Granted Jackson is out there more, but still. What's coming imo is that CJ will take the spot from Jackson. By doing that you stop opposing QBs from beating Jackson with jump balls. You can't just use jump balls against CJ because he's going to win a lot of them, so you have to throw a perfect ball against CJ.

Ever scream at your team SPREAD OUT!

Speculating that our best player will be figured out and shut down in the future is anything but tame. It's just about the most negative prediction that could possibly be made.

Official WFT at Carolina Panthers GameDay Thread!

Jackson is limited due to his height. He just can't keep up deep, and he's not good at jump balls. Attacking him deep is always a good idea. I don't want Jackson back if he tries to break the bank. He can accept a team friendly deal or walk. The problem in our secondary is that we can't play CJ the way he is meant to be played. CJ is press man ONLY. Do not play him in zone. Until CJ is up to speed we a vulnerable, that and we have busted coverage on a regular basis due to low football IQ secondary players. -
"Once they figure out CMC" is not a fact. That's basically negative speculation.
-
The ran it down our throats. That would be enough to dominate our defense, but Ron wanted more. They passed when they didn't even need to do so, and it exposed our secondary as being incompetent in coverage. They had no idea what they were doing out there. Busted coverage all over the place.

I think you have the most negative posts on the Huddle. Is there an award for most negative poster? You've got that hands down.
-
We took the right approach on offense. The problem is that our defense was man handled even though Rhule thinks he has his big DE package. We need a run stopping DE, and better play in general from the d-line. Our LBs got mauled and couldn't run free.
-
At least we know we don't need to resign Jackson.
-
We couldn't stop the run, and the pass defense was loose as a wizard's sleeve. When you get repeatedly gashed in the run game for the entire game you should lose. We did.

People forget how good Cam looked in Preseason

We'll just have 3 QBs next season. Cam, Sam, and PJ. No one wanted Sam except us when the Jets were looking to trade him. Nothing has changed now except now we don't want him either.
-
It killed me watching Sam just hold the ball in the pocket... and hold it... and I would just scream at the tv DO SOMETHING! Sam killed my soul. I couldn't take it anymore.
-
I'm just happy that we have an identity on offense and a plan of attack. With Sam I just thought like "well we're gonna lose" and that was about it.
-
Well I don't know Cam's stamina as he's older and what has he been doing during his time off? How much can he handle before he's sucking wind. Not really sure.
-
You know he's going to pull something out of his ass. It's just expected at this point. All we have to do is limit his success and keep the the pressure on him. He'll crack. Talking about Heiny.
-
And there is no chance in hell, none, that the Washington backup DE's are going to be ready for it. There is zero chance they can stop it. None.
-
Basically we have to stay out 3rd and long. That can easily be accomplished using the read option. Stay in short yardage and you take the vulnerable o-line out of the equation. Now Cam is throwing shorter passes that are easier to complete, and CMC can make a guy miss to get the short stuff. Work the read option of the fresh of the bench Washington scrub DEs until they are crying. Then keep going. Wear them the hell out, and stay in short yardage.
-
Heinicke will "Rudy" his way to some short try hard magic plays here and there. It's going to be hard to bottle him up, but he shouldn't put up big numbers.
-
I anticipate we are going to run the read option as much as we did in the Chud era, which means a poop ton of times. And that is the smart thing to do if you want to win the game, and to hell with injuries to Cam. Run the option and win. I only care about winning, and this depleted Washington defense is extremely vulnerable to the read option.
-
We are built to beat teams like AZ that have a wimpy smaller d-line. We are also built to beat Washington with them not having Chase Young and Montez Sweat. That means that there was be many read option plays where a scrub off the bench is trying to decide to go for Cam or CMC. There is no question in my mind that the bench warming DE will not be able to handle Cam and CMC running the option at him. Not going to happen. That means our offense will feast on the read option, and our defense will be fresh. The Washington game looks to be in our favor.
-
Basically were going to run the read option with Cam and CMC. If they go for CMC then you have a 6'6" 245 pound athlete barreling forward for a good gain. If they go for Cam, then you have CMC untouched and on the loose. That is why Cam is getting a big one year deal. Now Cam's passing is not that accurate nor consistent, and his deep ball may be gone, but we don't need that to win. We can tear teams apart with the read option. The read option is unstoppable so long as the o-line does it's part, and our o-line is noted for good run blocking and brutish play. Pass blocking, not so much, but it won't matter when we're short yardage after using the read option.
