  1. I liked how he we would use every avenue to address the QB position. So many on this board think the only way to address it is through the draft. While getting a young QB to groom is our preferred direction, all avenues will be used to address it. Maybe we trade up for a QB, maybe one falls in our lap or maybe we have to take a veteran QB. I don't know I am just happy that we're not hell bent on the DRAFT ONLY.
  2. 6 of the 11 first QB taken have panned out, while 2 of 10 2nd pick (no 2nd pick in 2013) in the first round have panned out. Jones and Tua still questionable. So unless you have the first pick you are gambling on greatness far more than the first pick.
  3. Of the 4 QBs in this draft only 1 has surefire written all over him. Trading up to get one of the other 3 may not produce the results you are looking for. My point is, your demanding one of these first 4 QBs and it's a strong possibility than we may not be able to move up or down to get one. The Senior Bowl gives Rhule a chance to look at 2 QBs that many fall to the 2nd or 3rd or possibly the 4th round. It gives the coaches the opportunity to move these players up and down their draft board. If I couldn't get a QB in round one (Which I hope we do) I would have my eyes on a player that might be one of those under the radar players.
  4. The whole advantage of coaching the team is to get a good look at other players. If Newman for example shows he has the tools and the athleticism to play in this league why wouldn't you want to put him higher on your board if we aren't able to draft a QB early. Everyone wants to bitch and moan about getting a 1st round QB and they also bitch and moan about having TB at QB for another season. If you can't get that first round pick than plan B might be that player you coached in the Senior bowl. Well sometimes things don't work out like you want them too. If you select a QB you coached in the Senior Bowl in the 4th round and he turns out to be a gem. Everyone is happy, If not, we didn't waste too much draft capital on a QB. Yeah, I know, trade up for one. Got it, but what if they are asking too much or no one wants to trade. Because you want to trade doesn't mean anyone has to hear you. You have to be ready for any circumstance.
  5. Goodell is going to clear him to play. He wants his dream match up of Mahomes and Brady in the Super Bowl so he can gift wrap a 7th championship ring to Brady. Can't let the GOAT retire with a loss, that would be so uncommissioner of him.
  6. I hear Hurney has already resigned Kerrigan to a 5 year 200 million dollar contract.
  7. It was sarcasms. I am fully aware of how great he was. You only read the first line. I followed it up with my honest opinion.
  8. I hope you're not a betting man. Gale Sayers went into the HOF with 7 years with 2 being injured. Basically 5 seasons worth of productions. Excerpt from Wikipedia Not only will Luke get in. He'll be first year ballot selectee.
  9. Of course he's overrated. I mean good god every running back can produce a 2000 yd season. I think we have one projected in the 7th round that will be just as good. Your take is about as trollish as any I have seen. Do you watch football at all? Name me one linebacker that can cover him one on one. Hell I'd venture to say there probably aren't many CB that can handle him. His route running is elite. His salary is high, no doubt, but his ability to basically play two positions is why he is worth the money.
  10. I always hope for a win so week 1 is always a 10. Sitting back and watching TB nickel and dime teams with his underneath throws and pathetic deep balls will destroy that 10 quite quickly. From the top down they have indicated that QB is an issue so there better be a better option learning the system on the bench. Whether a draft pick or a veteran working on a new start.
  11. Of the 4 teams mentioned I think we have the worst odds but then again that's what they said when Carolina was up for a team in 1993. We beat the odds once, why not again.
  12. Rhule has implied that we were going to address the offense. I wouldn't be shocked to see all offense but I think this year we sprinkle a couple defensive players near the end of day 3.
  13. This comes from a guy who's profile picture is one of the worst starting QB we've ever had. If we draft a QB than of course we wouldn't sign him. So I assume you would rather go into 2021 with the same anemic QB we have now than to give a QB that has had some good games and some bad games a chance. Had Robinson not dropped that wide open, perfectly throw bomb from Trubisky in the wildcard game. Chicago may have won that game against New Orleans. I consider New Orleans to have had one of the best defenses in the NFL and he stood firm against them. They lost but you couldn't put the blame on him. IMO, at least, gives us an opportunity to take a look. You make it sound as if we are trying to bring Josh Allen in. Tribusky has his faults but he also shown he can play with the big boys. Do I want to offer him a huge contract? No. Do I think if we can get him under a one or two year deal that makes sense. Why not.
  14. He lost for the same reason we want to get rid of Teddy. He couldn't throw deep. They brought in Winston to make the only long distant throw of the night. Brees was a great QB that could make those throws, now he's only a more accurate passer underneath. TB knew it and showed why he's done.
  15. That's not bullshit. Brees had a wide open target in the middle of the field just like your picture and decide to throw to the corner instead. Incomplete. They even pointed it out.
  16. I'd take Trubisky over TB. To me it is the contract that makes the difference. One year deal to prove himself, why not. He was like 7-3 as a starter. Yeah they let Foles come in and save the day against the Atlanta, we know how to throw a game, Falcons. He's a gunslinger, which I am ok with. He'll make mistakes but he'll also make some good plays. Unless we grab Lawrence every QB on the board has question marks. If we cannot land a QB in the first round of the draft than Trubisky might want to come home.
  17. Yeah and Brees missed a wide open target the other night too. What's your point? All and I mean ALL QBs miss a wide open target.
  18. Outside of Carolina Marty has never had an interview for any GM position. Rivera loves his Vets and Mary loves to over pay them to stay and be a sight on the sidelines for endearing fans.
  19. Why would Houston even consider Bridgewater? We, as casual fans, knows he sucks. Do you think Houston lives in a bubble and would be willing to take on his contract to be a backup? We might get away with 2 firsts and a 2nd. Mostly because teams are going to low ball Houston because regardless Watson won't play another snap for them. (or so he says). Any NFC team has another variable that Houston might consider. Being AFC you have the opportunity tot face the same team every year, depending on placement, and at a minimum every 3 years. While an NFC team will only face Houston once every four years.
  20. This is what I read about him. The full dream list. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/lists/panthers-2021-nfl-draft-holiday-wishlist-prospects/?fbclid=IwAR21Q-fYKNkfeX_Qj2UH9yBtJv6IumTdLbVJrXrIK0Ijrj_b7uT1lEH3aC4 3 Creed Humphrey, C/OG, Oklahoma: 6-foot-5, 315 lbs Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports Humphrey is “country strong” and sets the tone up front as the leader of Oklahoma’s offensive line. Strength, footwork, strong hands, leverage – you name it he’s got it. In 2019, he graded out as the seventh-best offensive lineman in the country according to PFF. Humphrey is not only a physical force, he is an extremely intelligent player as well. He has been captain of the offensive line his last three years at Oklahoma, calls out blitzes and diagnoses defensive schemes pre-snap on a regular basis. As a matter of fact, some scouts were concerned about former Sooner Kyler Murray’s pre-snap abilities because Humphrey would call out everything for him pre-snap. Another plus to Humphrey’s game is that he can play at either guard position as well, which would help the Panthers tremendously as they look to sure up their shaky interior line.
  21. I couple of weeks ago someone posted a bio on Creed Humphrey and I was sold. This guy is super smart and will be a huge addition to our O-line. If he's on our team I am going to tell you now. Rhule is going to fall in love with him. Too high for us at 8 but maybe trade down and get him in the latter portion of round one or at 40 in round two.

Excellent. I will be out of the country for the whole season. This will come in handy for regular season games for sure.

I am in Iraq and was able to watch a lot of games on this site.  Check it out.  I am an Oriole fan so I get to watch baseball too.

Pretty much any sport you got a fancy for is on this site.  Pretty cool

  23. Exactly. 3837 Yds. Considering our rushing attack is top tier those are some pretty good numbers. If Shula loses his mind and becomes Chudz is about the only way you are going to see our WR with huge numbers.
