  1. That's it. He's a scrub. There has never, EVER been a QB to throw back to back interceptions in practice. We should stay away from this guy as best as possible. (sarcasm) I don't know much about this guy but they say he has all the tools and is mobile. The biggest attribute I would lean on is he's very smart. If you have a guy that is smart it means he can learn from his mistakes. Every QB in this draft, outside of Lawrence, has question marks. If Newman were to fall to us in round 2 or possibly 3. It would be worth a shot. That said, if we were to draft Newman I do not see us getting rid of Bridgewater until 2022.
  2. We might not draft a QB in round one but I will guarantee that our QB room will have at least one new face to compete and start in front of TB.
  3. Really, you are going to take the Coastal game as your analysis? If anything you should be impressed. He was under pressure all game long. He hit his target and the receiver couldn't finish the deal. (we also won't mention how many dropped passes he had in that game.) Name me one QB that is 100% successful on making plays and I'll throw you the BS flag. What he did to get his team into position was clutch enough to say he'll do it in the NFL.
  4. No one... i repeat NO ONE is going to take TB off our hands. Everyone knows he is, at best, a backup QB. NO ONE is going to absorb his contract for us. If we sign anyone we'll have a 20 Mil per year back up QB.
  5. Just got this Jersey. That should answer your question. It was between Buns, CMC and Chinn. I chose Chinn because I love the way he flies around and makes plays.
  6. I said this a couple of days ago. Being he played at Clemson and is adored in SC. I could see where he might want to come back to the area he played college football.
  7. Burns and that's it. TJ Watt is done and they'll need a pass rusher. Burns will be a 10+ sack master for many years. Straight up. Disgruntled QB for a Rising Sack Master. Former 1st for a Former 1st. They also get 3 years remaining on his rookie contract and we have to absorb Watson's new deal.
  8. Miami will use the "we're not sure about Tua" trap to get a team to trade up and get draft capital. I've seen where they are committed to Tua and IMO it is only words on the street to get someone to trade up.
  9. I liked how he we would use every avenue to address the QB position. So many on this board think the only way to address it is through the draft. While getting a young QB to groom is our preferred direction, all avenues will be used to address it. Maybe we trade up for a QB, maybe one falls in our lap or maybe we have to take a veteran QB. I don't know I am just happy that we're not hell bent on the DRAFT ONLY.
  10. 6 of the 11 first QB taken have panned out, while 2 of 10 2nd pick (no 2nd pick in 2013) in the first round have panned out. Jones and Tua still questionable. So unless you have the first pick you are gambling on greatness far more than the first pick.
  11. Of the 4 QBs in this draft only 1 has surefire written all over him. Trading up to get one of the other 3 may not produce the results you are looking for. My point is, your demanding one of these first 4 QBs and it's a strong possibility than we may not be able to move up or down to get one. The Senior Bowl gives Rhule a chance to look at 2 QBs that many fall to the 2nd or 3rd or possibly the 4th round. It gives the coaches the opportunity to move these players up and down their draft board. If I couldn't get a QB in round one (Which I hope we do) I would have my eyes on a player that might be one of those under the radar players.
  12. The whole advantage of coaching the team is to get a good look at other players. If Newman for example shows he has the tools and the athleticism to play in this league why wouldn't you want to put him higher on your board if we aren't able to draft a QB early. Everyone wants to bitch and moan about getting a 1st round QB and they also bitch and moan about having TB at QB for another season. If you can't get that first round pick than plan B might be that player you coached in the Senior bowl. Well sometimes things don't work out like you want them too. If you select a QB you coached in the Senior Bowl in the 4th round and he turns out to be a gem. Everyone is happy, If not, we didn't waste too much draft capital on a QB. Yeah, I know, trade up for one. Got it, but what if they are asking too much or no one wants to trade. Because you want to trade doesn't mean anyone has to hear you. You have to be ready for any circumstance.
  13. Goodell is going to clear him to play. He wants his dream match up of Mahomes and Brady in the Super Bowl so he can gift wrap a 7th championship ring to Brady. Can't let the GOAT retire with a loss, that would be so uncommissioner of him.
  14. I hear Hurney has already resigned Kerrigan to a 5 year 200 million dollar contract.
  15. It was sarcasms. I am fully aware of how great he was. You only read the first line. I followed it up with my honest opinion.
  16. I hope you're not a betting man. Gale Sayers went into the HOF with 7 years with 2 being injured. Basically 5 seasons worth of productions. Excerpt from Wikipedia Not only will Luke get in. He'll be first year ballot selectee.
  17. Of course he's overrated. I mean good god every running back can produce a 2000 yd season. I think we have one projected in the 7th round that will be just as good. Your take is about as trollish as any I have seen. Do you watch football at all? Name me one linebacker that can cover him one on one. Hell I'd venture to say there probably aren't many CB that can handle him. His route running is elite. His salary is high, no doubt, but his ability to basically play two positions is why he is worth the money.
  18. I always hope for a win so week 1 is always a 10. Sitting back and watching TB nickel and dime teams with his underneath throws and pathetic deep balls will destroy that 10 quite quickly. From the top down they have indicated that QB is an issue so there better be a better option learning the system on the bench. Whether a draft pick or a veteran working on a new start.
  19. Of the 4 teams mentioned I think we have the worst odds but then again that's what they said when Carolina was up for a team in 1993. We beat the odds once, why not again.
  20. Rhule has implied that we were going to address the offense. I wouldn't be shocked to see all offense but I think this year we sprinkle a couple defensive players near the end of day 3.
  21. This comes from a guy who's profile picture is one of the worst starting QB we've ever had. If we draft a QB than of course we wouldn't sign him. So I assume you would rather go into 2021 with the same anemic QB we have now than to give a QB that has had some good games and some bad games a chance. Had Robinson not dropped that wide open, perfectly throw bomb from Trubisky in the wildcard game. Chicago may have won that game against New Orleans. I consider New Orleans to have had one of the best defenses in the NFL and he stood firm against them. They lost but you couldn't put the blame on him. IMO, at least, gives us an opportunity to take a look. You make it sound as if we are trying to bring Josh Allen in. Tribusky has his faults but he also shown he can play with the big boys. Do I want to offer him a huge contract? No. Do I think if we can get him under a one or two year deal that makes sense. Why not.
  22. He lost for the same reason we want to get rid of Teddy. He couldn't throw deep. They brought in Winston to make the only long distant throw of the night. Brees was a great QB that could make those throws, now he's only a more accurate passer underneath. TB knew it and showed why he's done.
