  1. I don't know the total drops we had in 2024 but it has to be near the top. Stop with the big receivers that can't run a route. We need solid route runners that are fighters.
  2. What kills me is when teams are constantly hitting on 4th and 5th rounders and we're lucky if 1st and 2nd pans out.
  3. I haven't really followed on who's the best candidate for this team. What I would like to see is a head coach that can adjust his gameplan on the fly. We seem to always get a HC that has no answer for a defensive schemes. It just appears that we set our game plan and we do very little to change it. We haven't had a coach that was good at changing his gameplan since Dan Henning and he was just our OC. Who of the group we currently interviewing is really good at adjusting the game plan.
  4. It doesn't make sense that our line was pretty decent in 2022 and a new regime comes in and all of a sudden we are the worst line in the league. Many have posted that the scheme is the culprit and not necessarily the players. I've never been much of a fan of zone blocking or whatever they call it these days, but we need to get back to utilizing the talent of the linemen which is more straight up blocking.
  5. I like that you put route runner. it seems we don't value this trait too much. We are looking at players that perform well in college but do not have the route running skills necessary for the NFL. I'd rather a good route running speedster than a player that might be faster but runs poor routes.
  6. That would be a disaster for the Panthers. If Tepper pulls the plug on another HC and GM within a season we can forget about ever getting anyone decent to come to this team. No Man is going to come here to get a permanent blemish on his career, purposely. We'll end up with retread after retread as they are the only ones that would even consider trying to revive their careers.
  7. Fodder? Because you disagree with it? Morgan doesn't seem to be a YES man. I guess we'll see if he gets hired.
  8. I've always thought Carolina did him wrong starting with Rhule. While Cam's arm strength may not have been what it was. We haven't had QB that threw a deep pass since he left. So, what's the difference. Cam at least could avoid sacks and make plays. It's so frustrating to watch Young get sacked the moment a defender touches him.
  9. I've actually heard the opposite of Morgan. I read he was the only one that would disagree with Tepper. We have to have GM that is going to get Tepper to listen to his staff. Tepper has to realize that he is making owners like Jerry Jones and the former owner of the Commanders, Dan Snyder, look like geniuses.
  10. It won't be long before all playoff games will be PPV. I wouldn't be surprised if eventually all NFL games will be PPV. Greed is a very bad thing, and the NFL is a greedy corporation.
  11. This is how I view Tepper. He may be a big fan of the game but should not have any say in which players are retained, let loose, picked up in free agency and most importantly who is drafted. Stop looking at what someone did in college and expect the exact performance in the NFL. You can offer your input but in the end let the Pros make the decision.
  12. Morgan is a former player and like Lynch a pretty smart guy. I wouldn't be against it. Especially if what I heard was true that he stood up to Tepper.
  13. I'm not so.much on Wilks but Cam, with a noodle arm is 100% better than Young.
  14. I wish this would happen but Tepper's ego is far to big for him to accept that he's a major reason why this team is so bad. I said earlier why doesn't he take the model from the team he came from? PITTSBURGH The owner is hand off but still gets credit for having a great team.
  15. He's not a lock on being the game one starter but he'll definitely be the #1 QB going into camp.
  16. That's probably true but the HC always gets the credit.
  17. I would like to keep Evero. Considering his defense was forced to play 75% of the season I think he's a good DC. Keeping him for one more season could benefit us going into 2025. If we retain him and he gets a HC gig in 2025 we get compensated with a 3rd round pick. in 2025 draft capital should be a top priority.
  18. I think Belichick molded Brady but later in Brady's career I think he carried Bill more than Bill carried him.
  19. Which tree do we pull from? John Lynch, Brandon Beane? I would think we would try to get someone from a tree that has been success for many years. We thought we had the right guy when we pulled Fitterer from Seattle.
  20. I hate losing and I hate watching this team play so poorly. I was at the Jacksonville game and I have never seen a team so out of sync. So many 3 and outs. i literally was embarrassed to leave the Stadium. The 2023 Panthers IMO was worse than the 2010 version. As many of you know tanking has never been in my vocabulary but 2024 should be treated like Richardson did in 2010. He let people walk. Paid no one any real money and we left the helm to Jimmy C. Though it was an abysmal year it landed us Cam Newton and 8 years of decent football. I think we let Burns walk and get the 3rd round compensation for him. Brown should be a core player along with Luvu on the defensive side. Horn, I have no idea what to do with him. He's been more of a bench rider than a star and probably need to cut ties with him. Maybe trade him for whatever we can get. Build capital for 2025. Offensively we need everything starting with a good head coach and offensive coordinator. I think we have some pieces that we can hold onto but we seriously need to look for weapons to help our midget QB. Give Young 2024 to prove he's a franchise *cough gag choke* QB. Sadly, I predict he won't be any better. At 5'8" it only takes a solid bump and he's sacked. Regardless of his pocket awareness. He doesn't have nor will he ever, have the strength to escape. As John Fox used to say. "It is what it is". Sign Free Agents to one-year deals and gain as much cap space as possible for 2025. I wish I could say this franchise needs just a couple of players, but the truth is we need a total rebuild. We have very little draft capital to build with. We're not going to be anywhere near a good team in 2024 so we should focus on 2025. I suspect that our 2024 performance will be no better than 2023 and we'll be in the top 3 for draft order.
  21. Well, the first thing the FIRM needs to do is tell Tepper to get out of the cookie jar and let the professionals do what they do best. You can bring in the best GM and the best coach to ever walk the face of the earth but if Tepper doesn't stay out of how this team is built it's not going to matter. He comes from a Pittsburgh organization and should take note on how Art Rooney II lets football people do football things. If he can't do that. For the love of God. SELL THE DAMN TEAM.
  22. And everyone was so happy to get rid of Richardson.
  23. Isn't that sad. Not since our inception. Crazy to think we've never had a Coach/GM team come in together.
  24. When was the last time we had a new GM and a new Coach going into a season. As much as I can remember we haven't had a new GM / Coach come in at the same time.
  25. It really depends on who the new head coach is going to be. I think this offensive scheme does not fit our O-line at all. Get Young to get used to being under center instead of pistol or shotgun and run the ball. From what I read our best performance in the run game was he was under center. If we have a different scheme it may put our O-line back to the 2022 season. We could than focus on a well disciplined WR.
