  1. DeMeco Ryans is a good DC and would love to bring that attitude he has here, but we really need an offensive mind to run this team. I'd rather lose our DC than our OC if we do well. I think the hard part is who. So many OCs that have talented QBs which makes them look like geniuses but then when they get hired as a head coach and have a mediocre or less QB. They struggle.
  2. Agreed. We saw it on the defensive side with McDermott and Wilks. Though Wilks wasn't given much of an opportunity to turn a franchise around. They jettisoned him as soon as Kingsbury became available.
  3. Not that high, I agree. I was really impressed with him. He had one pass that he just took right over the top of the small DB.
  4. How many of these players stick around after Rhule is fired? Roy is about the only one I think could stay as a rotational player. Anderson is not worth the extension we gave him.
  5. Did anyone see the UGA/Missouri game. This guy is a MAN amongst boys. 6'7" 270lbs of pure terror. What I really liked about him was he is a good blocker and has some sweet hands. I know we are probably taking a QB but damn I would sure love to see this guy in a Panther Uniform.
  6. I initially thought the 49er game might be winnable but after watching their defense last night. We might just have 3 and out on every possession. With or without Jimmy G having a bad game. There is no way Baker is going to have time to sneeze, more or less, get the ball out within 2 seconds. Maybe our defense keeps pace with our offense and scores another TD. That might be the only way we don't get shutout.
  7. I have criteria for our next head coach. 1. Previous NFL experience as an OC or DC. 2. Hire an OC that has a freaking imagination and not someone who runs an old-school offense. 3. A defensive coordinator that utilizes the talent we have on this team. We struggled so many years without a good backend. Now we have one and we don't utilize those players strengths. Dorsey, IMO, benefits from having Allen and I am not sure he'd be as good with a rookie or an average QB. He kind of reminds me of Nagy when he had Manning.
  8. I think he needs to go now. While we may not win any more games. I would rather let someone else run the show. The team deserves it. There is far too much talent on this team to be wallowing in last place. Let someone else run this team. I watch many games; thanks to AFN and all the replays they show during the week. I watch coaches use plays to throw off defenses and yet we are still running plays that don't work. There is absolutely no imagination. It's embarrassing that we struggle to put one or two drives each game to score a TD. Usually, it is a busted coverage or a player making a big play. We cannot sustain a drive. Get rid of Rhule, start changing the culture now so 2023 we are headed in the right direction.
  9. That must be a misquote. We have had only 46 possessions in 4 games. NO way we averaged 53.5 possessions per game. Go look at our game stats.
  10. I was looking at the first for games namely how many possessions we had, and total time of possession. It's not pretty We had 12 possessions against Cleveland and 7 of those possession were 4 plays or less * One was a TD. Cleveland 38:26 to Carolina 21:34 We had 11 possessions against New York and 5 of those possession were 4 plays or less * One was a TD New York 35:57 to Carolina 24:03 We had 13 possessions against New Orleans and 7 of those possession were 4 plays or less *One was kneel at the end New Orleans 29:50 to Carolina 30:10 We had 12 possessions against Arizona and 7 of those possession were 4 plays or less Arizona 38:35 to Carolina 21:25 46 possessions with 25 were 4 plays or less * 2 TDs That is nearly 1/2 of our possessions where we didn't get a 1st down or just 1 first down. Time of Possession Average 35:12 to 24:48
  11. A very professional tribute. Steve didn't make it about himself but for Sam. We have to remember that Steve was a budding star when Sam was with the team. Though Sam was a defensive coach you can surely believe he was in Steve's ear about being great. He was in his ear about being the small guy not getting any respect. Steve, like Sam, showed the world greatness. Sam was such a great player, and I was ecstatic when we signed him in our inaugural season to be the leader of our defense. His leadership set the tone for a team that one year removed from their first season they were in the NFC Championship game. Sam deserved the HOF and surely Steve will too.
  12. Under our current scheme defenses simply take away the middle of the field and give us the outside. Defensive ends are instructed to get their hands up and there you go. Shuts down our entire scheme.
  13. I too was on the bandwagon that McAdoo was going to bring some stability to this offense. Apparently not. Spending my career in the USN I learned a thing or two about leadership. One thing I learned was that when a leader has problems no matter who it is that works under them. It usually turns out the problem is the leader and not the subordinate that they keep replacing. Rhule blamed Brady and fired him and I am sure Rhule is looking at McAdoo as a scapegoat this year. While I don't think the answer is McAdoo, I cannot help but think Rhule has a finger in our offensive ineptness.
  14. Tanking? We seem to be doing a damn good job at losing without having to try.
  15. It's sad when everyday you wake up praying that you see the headlines "Panther's fire Rhule" only to see nothing posted.
  16. It's not the gd players. It is the freaking coach. Get a decent head coach and this team would be much better. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever why we can only score 13 offensive points in a game. IT'S THE COACHING, NAMELY THE HEAD COACH,
  17. It not as bad as asking the owner if he should make a change a coach!!! Our offense looks absolutely abysmal. I would bet UGA or Alabama could score enough points against us to win.
  18. No way we draft a QB as long as we have Rhule. Reclamation Project 1. Bridgewater Reclamation Project 2 . Darnold Reclamation Project 3. Mayfield Reclamation Project 4. Daniel Jones
  19. Baker Clausen was a rookie with a gutted team and we knew we were in for a long year. Baker has tons of talent on this team and good defense.
  20. Tepper won't fire Rhule. His freaking ego is too big to admit he fudged up.
  21. It's embarrassing that our defense is the only reason why this game is even close. Just embarrassing. Tepper will not fire him this week and that will make this just as much embarrassing.
  22. Defense is fast and quite stout. Gotta give Snow some credit. Just wish McAdoo has his poo together.
