  1. I can see that Odell wasn't a good fit for Cleveland and it is questionable whether it's Baker's fault or Odell's. I predict he ends up playing the year out in GB. It just seems to be the team that can use him the most.
  2. The point, IMO is that Shaq is be attitude for this team.
  3. You know it is always hindsight when you talk about a player we could have . Some many people put Jones down because he wasn't athletic enough like Wilson and Fields but he IMO is probably the best rookie QB of the draft. I love the Horn pick and the injury really makes you want to second guess the pick. If we had the chance to redo this pick I would have been happy with either of them. Jones but not Fields.
  4. Our one hit wonder is going to have a good day
  5. Watching the game last week I notice that Shaq was bringing an attitude to our defense. He laid wood on a couple of plays and that infected the rest of the defense. They brought an attitude we haven't seen since he was out of the lineup. Shaq and the defense is going to make it a long day for the rookie. Mac Jones is probably the best rookie QB for the season but he is going to have a tough day this weekend. Not to mention that Gilmore is going to get at least one Int this weekend. I also think that since he was with the team until recently he will have some insight on the Patriot's offense.
  6. My biggest issue with this coaching staff is the vanilla that seems to reek from this team. Joe Brady, for someone that is suppose to be innovated, is absolutely terrible at designing a game plan for NFL defenses. It seems we run the same damn play over and over. When was the last time we saw a misdirection play? A play to get the defense from loading up the box. And probably the worst trait is he has no mid game adjust me. Same plays in the first half compared to the 2nd half. Phil Snow, I love his concept, but when a team runs the same slat over and over for big gains and doesn't make an adjustment. Fitterer, my only complaint with him is how many freaking cornerbacks are you going to trade for? Especially with the status of our O-line. We need interior O-line help now. , Draft picks IMO are still one of our best ever and that needs to continue. As a GM that has probably has one of the worst lines in the NFL, I would be fixing that instead of going after cornerbacks.
  7. Anything is better than what we have out there now. Darnold is getting hammered.
  8. I like what Hubbard has done in CMC absence. I can't stand Freeman. A 238lb RB can't get you 2 yds when you need it, is garbage. Smith might do some nice things out of the backfield.
  9. I thought we pretty much dominated the game against Philly. They didn't drive the field once for a TD. We gave them 2 short fields for TDs. I thought the huddle would have been headhunting C. Blackburn. How in the hell do you allow a blocked punt with 4:00 to go in the game. I see us winning this game easily. Gettleman will be on the hotseat. It will be nice to be a part of his firing.
  10. I looked around but without a picture it was hard. I did speak with a gentleman who made an announcement about the marching band and introduced myself and thanked him for the party. Me and my girls went into the game with a nice buzz. LOL There is nothing like going to a Panther game especially if you add an awesome tailgate.
  11. You gotta get unity in the Family. Eagles are as bad as being a WFT fan,
  12. Certain rules apply and you just don't break them, They set boundaries and you just don't cross them. I value my health over a stash. LOL
  13. My current woman hates facial hair so that wasn't an option. These three young ladies are true Panther fans. Not bad since one is in Cowboy country, One is in WFT country and the other is in Bucs country.
  14. I made it to the Philly game and attended the Roaring Riot's tailgate party. I was able to get my daughter's from Florida, Texas and Virginia to come along. In 2006 we had pictures made and recreated them at the game. Thanks for the great tailgate party and though we lost it was a great time at the game.
  15. I see us stacking up on quality CBs and in this league you never have enough quality CBs. I like it and hopefully we'll reap the benefits soon.
  16. To try and put the blame on Darold is ridiculous. Our oline gave him little or no time. All the hatred comes from the "I want Fields fans" and any possibility to point the problem at Sam is obvious.
  17. You knew the haters would come out. Give him a competent o-line he'll be great.
  18. I believe Shi Smith is going to be another steal of this draft. He's in a perfect situation where we can groom him slowly and put him in the lineup as needed. Trading him for a lineman is only going to give us the caliber of players we already have. There aren't many teams that are going to give away upper echelon talent for a WR.
  19. Make sure you come back here Sunday night. You're going to have alot of crow to eat. Cowboys are good but they are very beatable. This isn't your typical defense. When Dak tries to extend the play outside one of our speedy players is going to make him wish he was still in rehab.
  20. While trading Robby is a good deal for another team since he recently signed an extension. We would be taking a huge gamble on Smith and Marshall. Though Robbie hasn't had as many targets as we would like he is still a critical part of our offense. #1 CBs are targeting Anderson which is leaving Moore in one on one situations. Losing Robbie moves the double team to Moore and will leave two rookies and/or Zylstra to find openings in the defense. As much as I hate to say it, I think we are going to have to ride this O-line as it is. Hopefully, the Rookies step in and take over. We've addressed the line in the draft and need our rookies to step in and contribute, rather sooner than later.
  21. I think what excites me about this trade is. It's not performance related. He only played 8 games last year. I could see major concern if he just couldn't cover his grandmother but it has to do with atmosphere more than talent. Many have posted how the team just raves about what we are trying to do. Everyone is onboard, especially the defense. It's infectious and I think this guy is going to get here and be overwhelmed with the culture this team has. I also read where he wanted out of Florida for whatever reasons and he was drafted by a Florida team and worse than that. The worst team in Florida. How many players come to Charlotte and build their families here and stay here after their careers are over. I've only been to Charlotte for games and never lived there but I can tell you from what I have seen and compared to Jacksonville (where I spent a year in the Navy at) Charlotte is leaps and bounds a better place. Get him around the right people and this will be the trade of the season, league wide.
  22. Darnold is a warrior. I've read he's all in and does everything to prepare himself. I think this game will be on our O-line. Dallas is beatable. The key to this game will be Brady. Though we don't have CMC we do have plenty of weapons to win this game. If he can do what he did after CMC went out last week we can win this game. If we lose, we start the next week trying to go 1-0. That's the mentality we are playing with and it won't be any different heading into the Philly game.
  23. Yes Rookies will make mistakes. Wilson has struggled but stil made plays with a terrible offensive line. Lawrence has made several mistakes but he is still making plays and showing he's learning under a rookie curve. Fields had 1 yard passing and is clearly overwhelmed. Some want to defend that he has a poor oline and they do. Darnold does not have a great o-line and has us at 3-0. I don't think we would be 3-0 if we had Fields running the show here. The Horn selection is looking more and more as the right choice.
  24. The guy is always looking to improve our team. Trading players or scooping them up on the market. He's not overpaying underperforming players just to save face from a 1st round pick. He is on the same page as the Head Coach which makes it easier to find the talent we want. 9 of 11 players drafted are contributing. The other two are in the wings as potential contributors. He's building a team that will be built for the long haul. Can you imagine 3 or 4 drafts in a row like 2021?
  25. The 1996 playoffs where we showed Dallas where Charlotte was will always be a great Panther day but my favorite was the 2015 beatdown in Dallas. Our Defense dominated Tony Romo and the "boys". Favorite play(s) back to back Ints for Luke. (3) Carolina Defensive Highlights (Week 12) | Panthers vs. Cowboys | NFL - YouTube
