  1. Trade 6 for Philly's 15 and Minshew. That's just as valuable as a 4th round pick and they have chance to get a top tier piece. We drop down and still have a good chance of getting a LT or maybe Linderbaum.
  2. The tipping point for me, as well as the Panthers, was fully guaranteeing his contract. There are too many reasons why that is a bad idea and I'm glad Tepper wasn't desperate enough to give in. I'm also super happy he didn't end up in Atl or N.O. Would have hated to play him twice a year. I wish him luck and hope he pushes Cleveland over the hump.
  3. Minshew IMO is the best choice. Cheap and if he doesn't pan out he would be a free agent next year. NO additional money owed and we can TRY to get a quarterback next season but that isn't a guarantee.
  4. Too bad we can't find him a better role. He was clutch most of the time.
  5. 3.6 yards per carry isn't great but considering we had no passing game and a porous offensive line. I'd say that wasn't bad. I'd like to see him behind a competent offensive line.
  6. This signing has me believing we are going to get Watson and CMC will be part of the deal. Hubbard and Foreman could be a nice duo for us. Either that or we have another taker for CMC, Maybe another first and we package that with one more 1st rounder next year.. Thoughts?
  7. Well let's hope that he plays well enough that at least someone signs him next year as a free agent and we get a compensation pick.
  8. 95% of me believes he's done at least as a starting QB. Might have a career as a backup. That said. No one, and I mean no one would have succeeded behind our offensive line. I will give him that 5% as a maybe he can thrive behind a good offensive line. i don't think so, but IMO there is a small chance he can be a starting QB.
  9. Good God the 3 picks is hard to swallow but giving up our best two defenders really hurts. Question for the Cap guys. We don't add much to the salary cap off of Burns and Chinn? I mean that is more money we can bring in replacements for these guys.
  10. i have recently read that no picks were going to be involved. I find that hard to believe unless they want players on our squad right now. I think it would be foolish to give up all our talent and leave the QB without anyone to work with, plus Watson would void the trade if we had no assets. I would say that CMC could be involved because we have Hubbard and I believe with a better line he can be a frontline RB. Anderson or Moore or possibly TMJ could be another asset we could part with since we have Smith sitting in the wings. Defensively possibly Shaq and maybe YGM or Brown but since we let most of our FA walk I am not sure who else we could let go.
  11. You mean Colin "One Read" Kaepernick. I'll pass. The guy is a scrub. No one wanted him because he sucks has nothing to do with his political motivations. NOT NO, BUT HELL NO.
  12. i'm sure your correct. I wish they'd make up their mind and make a deal. From what I've seen he has been meeting with both teams. I'm sure Carolina is telling him we are going to address the line. In the meantime everyone is signing elsewhere.
  13. I guess Fitterer and Rhule are going to be working reclamation projects again. I know this is day one of the early signing period but the way things are going we'll be signing players with a "potential to be good" instead of getting a proven player.
  14. One play does not define a player. Even the best get burned now and then.
  15. Read the OP. It points out exactly what these women were thinking and planning. No one fabricated these comments and Watson's legal team was able to negate every claim. If you are a victim of Sexual Assault and have nothing to hid you'll get your trial. When you have comments and proof there were other motivations it is pretty clear why he wasn't indicted. If you're a shaddy victim you'll be exposed. Many of you wanted him convicted so you grasp for reasons why he "got away with it" when the truth is. MONEY IS A MOTIVATOR.
  16. What I think makes matter worse is Houston knows we are all in on Watson. Tepper is making sure that we lose negotiation power by asserting our desires to have him. The price is going to be steep. The maximum I would give up is 3 firsts and a former first round pick. There is no way in hell I would give up 3 first and 2 or 3 former first round picks and only get Watson. Here's a thought? Any potential three way deals for all you couch potato GMs.?
  17. That's what gets me. Brown no matter how overweight he was could not have been any worse than what we put out there. All that keeps ringing in my ears is Rhule saying "You don't play until you reach our weight goal" No matter how good he was at his current weight. If your guards are turnstiles your center is not going to grade very well. Leave BC at LT and get some freaking help on the interior. It's going to take some time for Campen to get our line in shape.
  18. This is far too much to give up. 4 first and two former first round pick. That's insane. By the time we rebuilt the team Watson will be using a walker to get around.
  19. I didn't mention the combine but Sam had one of the better performances. I'll be a closet fan of the team that chooses him unless of course he's in the NFCS.
  20. I remember watching Drew Brees at Purdue and really wanted him and ever more pissed off when New Orleans signed him. Anyhow, Brees looked amazing even back then. When I watch Sam last year I was impressed the same way. Not to say Howell will be a HOFer but I got the same gut feeling when I saw Brees.
  21. He'll be long gone by then. What's your analytical reason why you don't want him.
