  1. What I think makes matter worse is Houston knows we are all in on Watson. Tepper is making sure that we lose negotiation power by asserting our desires to have him. The price is going to be steep. The maximum I would give up is 3 firsts and a former first round pick. There is no way in hell I would give up 3 first and 2 or 3 former first round picks and only get Watson. Here's a thought? Any potential three way deals for all you couch potato GMs.?
  2. That's what gets me. Brown no matter how overweight he was could not have been any worse than what we put out there. All that keeps ringing in my ears is Rhule saying "You don't play until you reach our weight goal" No matter how good he was at his current weight. If your guards are turnstiles your center is not going to grade very well. Leave BC at LT and get some freaking help on the interior. It's going to take some time for Campen to get our line in shape.
  3. This is far too much to give up. 4 first and two former first round pick. That's insane. By the time we rebuilt the team Watson will be using a walker to get around.
  4. I didn't mention the combine but Sam had one of the better performances. I'll be a closet fan of the team that chooses him unless of course he's in the NFCS.
  5. I remember watching Drew Brees at Purdue and really wanted him and ever more pissed off when New Orleans signed him. Anyhow, Brees looked amazing even back then. When I watch Sam last year I was impressed the same way. Not to say Howell will be a HOFer but I got the same gut feeling when I saw Brees.
  6. He'll be long gone by then. What's your analytical reason why you don't want him.
  7. Sam is listed as 6'1. Brees was 6' even.
  8. I know many of you have Sam Howell lower on your draft boards and I personally think it's a mistake. In 2020 when Carolina had great weapons and a porous defense Sam continually kept them in the game. We all know he has the arm to play in the NFL and IMO all the other tools to do well. Many want to put 2021 as gauge on Sam. If you had switched 2020 and 2021 season Sam would clearly be the best QB in this draft. I don't think his skills diminished or were a flash in the pan. He just didn't have the supporting cast he had in 2020. I am a Tarheel football fan along with ECU. (student there many moons ago) UNC is not a powerhouse football program. UNC cannot replace NFL level talent like the Ohio States and Alabamas can. What Sam had in 2020 cannot be replaced and it showed. You can't blame Sam for the lack of talent around him. Assuming we fix our line. Sam would have the weapons here. We have quality Wideouts and depending on CMCs health a good to great running game. Many dislike him and that's your opinion but IMO we will regret passing on him. I believe he is going to have a long career in the NFL.
  9. The remaining women aren't contending sexual assault. They want a payday, which they'll probably get just to make this go away. Sexual Assault is a crime, Watson is not charged with any crime. People need to let the criminal aspect of this issue go. HE'S NOT BEEN CHARGED WITH ANY CRIMES. Now it is all about what these women get from Watson. I think Watson's lawyers are working real hard to make offers to the civil claims.
  10. I hope we address the line in Free Agency and give him some tools to work with. Then he can develop the rest of the squad into quality depth. As we all know most teams don't go a whole season with the same starting 5.
  11. I remember watching this clip a month or so ago. I was not overly impressed and IMO definitely not at #6. Seemed like many of his throws were under thrown.
  12. You make great points on why it would help Philly. I'd rather give up Anderson. It gives Philly that WR that can take the top off a defense. Remember when we drafted Moore, Smitty said you finally drafted my replacement. Moore is too valuable to trade away.
  13. Well come on. You know they have to gut our team so those first round picks are in the top 5 or 10. Burns = Hell No Brown = Yes Chinn = No Horn = Absolutely Not..
  14. Fair point. This guy has probably forgotten more about the offensive line than Rhule knows. I sure the hell hopes he lets him do his job. I would love to see Brown play. I think Rhule has a hard-on for this kid and wouldn't have played him even if he was showing All-Pro potential.
  15. I wouldn't say that. Most of these women in the criminal case admitted they were out for cash. That's not he said/she said. That's admitting under oath that money was the motivator.
  16. Everything I have read has been nothing but praise over this guy. He seems to be one of the best O-line coaches in the league. He has the ability to make a subpar player into something decent and a average player into something very good. He cares about his players and knows how to get the most out of them. Our O-line needs drastic help, obviously, and though we may bring in some more players to help. I think he'll take what we give him and put a quality O-line on the field. I really like Matsko but he went with Rivera to the Commies. From all I've heard he's better. This could be our best signing this offseason. Thoughts?
  17. Actual victims, even one, would have been enough evidence to force a criminal trial. IMO....More Money Grabbers
  18. Exactly, people need to stop saying he's guilty. They couldn't indict him on these charges now the only thing left is civilly. I believe the civil suits are going to be settled. Those women are going to have their lives turned inside and out. Once they find, they have a very resourceful investigation team, one former customer that had sex with them their suit goes into the toilet. IMO they'll take the money offered and move on.
  19. First of all, I felt the timing of all this was initiate by the Texans to punish Watson for wanting to leave. What I don't think they knew was there were more than the ones that they knew about. The massage business is set up to bait men to go there. Young, beautiful women that spend 30 minutes to an hour with their hands all over you. If Watson traveled for an appointment the therapist can't be that stupid to think there isn't more interest than just a massage. Whether they agreed or not, they had to have had some inkling there might be a sexual attraction. I believe most if not all of these women consented and figure there is a payday coming to them. This data sheet just reiterates that while Watson might be a freak, he's not a criminal. I think there will be a quick settlement with all 20+ women. Watson's legal team is going to put a number on the table for all. Most of these women are going to take it. If they take the chance to go to trial they risk not getting anything. Those that choose to pursue more are going to have their personal lives investigated deeply. The settlements will be undisclosed and NDA's will be signed before any money is given to these women. As far as a suspension is concerned, I don't see how they can. While Watson might be a massage and sex freak. Consensual sex isn't illegal. Then again, this is the NFL.
  20. It will be interesting to see how many of you that don't want him, leave the team and cheer someone else. I won't be surprised if something happens this weekend after his court on Friday.
  21. Well the QB spot may be addressed soon but you can give up on Tepper selling the team. When was the last time you saw an owner sell his team so quickly after obtaining it?
  22. Seattle has the capital but they are gutting the team. Bobby Wagner got released and he was the heart and soul of the defense. There gutting of their team definitely evens things out for us. We have the 6th pick in the draft and of course next years and possible 2024 1st rounder. That would suck as far as not getting top level talent for a couple of years but Watson would help ease that pain. Also you can bet there are going to be other names involved. Many on this forum don't think we have much to offer but every player is available. CMC might just cost us one extra first. The only name I hope we don't trade is Burns but even he might be a trading chip. We have to address the QB spot and focus on bring free agents in to counter our lack of draft capital for a couple of years. I hope we pull it off.
  23. Well they are armed with picks this draft and have an extra one to give away next season. So they definitely have the draft capital to fight for him. I think we are restructuring and going to offer some pretty good talent plus picks. We'll see soon.
  24. Love will not be one of those players. Guaranteed. He is absolutely terrible. Go watch the game he played not much to see.
