  1. Well Del Rio's defense did have those players but you still have to have a decent game plan and he was great for his one season.
  2. Henning was a SB winning OC with the Redskins and probably the sole reason why we came back in SB38. After Billicheat knew our every step in the 1st QTR. Henning changed things up and had it not been for a Kasey poor kick off. We might have won that game.
  3. Only Changes DC Jack Del Rio You didn't list OC and mine is Dan Henning
  4. Had the video replay been allow in a challenge like it was years ago they'd would have reversed it. But like I said. In Real Time I can see how they missed it. I couldn't tell until after the replay.
  5. I can see in Real Time that the ref missed the Cincy TD against Ramsey. They just missed it but the one at the end of the game was absolutely terrible. Both teams were playing that way the whole game and for the refs to meddle in the outcome that was was wrong. The Rams had the better offense team in the 2nd half but the Bengals Defense was standing toe to toe with the Ram defense. It was a shame that 3rd down call was made. The 2nd hold on Kupp was legit but I feel the refs ruined a great game by getting involved.
  6. Those of us old enough to remember the "Dome Patrol" in New Orleans. This was the first sign of life in New Orleans franchise. They were doormats like today's Lions (I won't say today's Panthers). There defense was nasty and spearheaded by Mills. Before the Panthers came along I actually routed for them because there defense was special and I like Bobby Hebert. At 5'9" you would think he would get run over by 6 ft plus offensive linemen but he always was there making plays. He was a beast. Long before he became a Panther I knew who he was. I was super excited when we grabbed him to be an Charter member of the Carolina Panthers. Zach Thomas was a good player and should at some point make the HOF. You can argue he was better but there is also an argument that Mills was better. I saw both and I'll take Mills.
  7. I know his contract said he had full control but maybe Tepper told him that's off the table if he wants to stay employed. Probably not but maybe.
  8. Even if we draft OL with our first pick it is not going to be enough to fix our line. Unless we trade out of the 6th spot or trade away a player or two for draft capital, I just don't see how we can improve without tapping the free agent market.
  9. I never really think about the cap repercussions but it obviously must be considered. That is what I am most fearful about. Rhule is on the hot seat and starts trading picks from 2023 and beyond to save is @SS. That's kind of why I hope we trade down. Pick up a couple extra picks in rounds 2 and 3 and still get a quality player in round one. Fortunately for us this draft has many offensive linemen that can fill the bill.
  10. I was goofing around with the Draft Simulators and did one without any trades. Our first two picks are 6 and 106. 100 spots in-between picks. No 2nd and No 3rd. Is that pick at 6 worth holding onto knowing we have no more picks until all of the potential starters have been drafted? We are basically giving in that we will only have one starter from the 2022 draft. I pray we don't trade away picks next year to get back into this draft which is why I am a proponent of trading down and getting a couple extra picks. Either that or we shop players on our roster for additional picks. CMC being a key candidate. Last year i was fully against trading him but with a 2nd year of him being on the IR it just doesn't seem to be a good idea to hold onto him waiting for another injury filled season. How do we take advantage of this draft without sacrificing picks from 2023 and beyond?
  11. What they did to Fox was nasty. He had no chance to succeed. Richardson was preparing for the lockout and put it on Fox to win with nothing. Probably the saddest season of our history.
  12. Six is a good spot for us. I think we'll trade down and end up getting one of the QBs plus being able to get a couple more picks.
  13. I was on edge hoping he wasn't passed over again. I remember his days in the USFL and how awesome he was with New Orleans and finally super excited that Sam was an original Panther. Congrats Sam as your Mantra will surely be apart of your description in the HOF. Sam Mills and Keep Pounding to the HOF. Awesome
  14. As bad as we were last year many of the coaches that have been hired may boost Rhule's ability to bring them together.
  15. That is the benefit of the 17 game schedule. You don't lose a home game (more or less) and have a neutral site game. That would be interesting for me as I live in Kuwait and I believe it is a direct flight to Germany. If we get a game there I might go to it.
  16. You can have all the talent in the world but if you don't have that fire you'll end up being JAG. Smitty owes a lot of his future HOF induction to Jake. Jake had that gunslinger mentality and would sling it out there for Smitty to make a play. Smitty was always up for the task and made some incredible catches. Jake and Cam are neck and neck as my favorite Panther QBs. If one of these rookies have that insane fire. I would take him over a slightly more talented QB with less fire in him.
  17. If he can make them serviceable as backups and get Moton, Christensen and Brown as solid starters we could have a solid line. I will be interested to see how he works with them. Actually that will probably be my focal point when OTAs, Mini-Camps and Training camp comes along. How well are our linemen adjusting to Campen.
  18. I have never coached at a high level but one thing I know about coaching is connection with your players is as important as the knowledge that you bring. Campen will connect with these players and they'll respond. It's obvious that we need someone that is a complete coach not just a guy that knows the position. He'll be excited to have Brown, Christensen and Moton to start with. Hopefully, he'll have a say in who we bring in through free agency.
  19. I want to say it was the Cardinals but memory fades with so many years under my belt. But I remember him taking a cheap shot and he got up furious and we won that game.
  20. It didn't hurt that Burrow went down in 2020 and they were able to draft his former team Chase. This will be a duo that the AFC will have to defend for the next decade. We'll probably never be bad enough for the 1st, 2nd or 3rd pick. We'll always figure out a way to win a game or two. We are going to have to have great scouts and find that QB like Mahomes that falls to middle of the 1st round. If we could find a QB like Jake again. I would be happy. While Jake was never HOF material, he had leadership and a winner's mentality. His heart was 10x more than his talent and I loved that fire he brought to our team. Those Jake years and the early Cam years have been my favorite.
  21. Tribisky played one season Howell has three good years. With solid WRs and RB he'll be an effective QB in the NFL.
  22. This is what helps me get through the off-season. This and the endless arguing about who is a stud or washout in the upcoming draft.
  23. We've fussed and moaned about how atrocious our line is. How we need to address the line this off-season. We need a great O-line coach. If they can get Brown and Christensen up to speed then we have 3/5th of the line addressed. Find another guard and center we only need to develop depth. I think our biggest acquisition this off-season will be who we hire as our o-line coach.
