  1. Horn was a stud until he got hurt, TMJ is not being used properly, Christensen needs to be at LT, Tremble is doing well for a rookie, Hubbard with a good line will be better, Nixon is a rookie playing at one of the hardest positions to transition from college to pros and has shown promise. Taylor same as Nixon, Brown should be in the lineup and given the opportunity to show his worth. Smith has the tools. Fletcher will replace JJ next year. These picks are far and I mean BY FAR better top to bottom than any draft Hurney ever had. You can nitpick but overall all of these picks have the potential to be contributors in the coming seasons.
  2. I don't see Fitterer going anywhere. He had some questionable free agents but most of his draft picks were pretty solid. You could almost point the finger at Rhule on the FA.
  3. Rhule had not lived up to expectations. I feel the Panthers are going backwards. If we decide to cut loose of Rhule do we try and keep Snow or do we let the new HC decide on who he wants a DC. Personally I would like to see Snow's defense with at competent HC and offensive coordinator.
  4. Rhule wasn't some coach we just hired out of the blue. He was a very hot commodity and many of us including myself believe he was going to be our savior. While I agree it is all a BS smokescreen now. Initially most on this board were excited that we got him. I understood, kind of, why he kept Hurney after he bought the team. Not happy about it but at least could understand the logic. IMO we have a really good GM staff with Fitterer and Morgan so we are headed in the right direction there. If we fire Rhule we HAVE TO hit on the next coach or we are going to be the Detroit south. Every other year changing coaches.
  5. A point was made during the game about Brady's offense. When a team finds a play that works they would run it several times during the game. Brady would have a play that he would run that wouldn't produce a single yard but would run it over and over again. Producing the same results. Rhule will not step in and tell him not to call that play again. I've said for months now Rhule and his staff don't know how to adjust. When Brady was at LSU they were a dominate team. The game plan worked every week and adjustments weren't necessary. In the NFL that won't work. Last year we all saw some promise and believed 2021 would be better. We drafted two offensive line men and instead of letting them grow in this offense they sat on the bench for players that weren't doing any better than a rookie. If you are building a program with young players you have to let those players play. Brown really pisses me off. I am not sure why he wasn't on the field. I know he was put on IR but IMO that was only to open a roster spot and had nothing to do with him being physically able to play. Other than the weight issue, which iMO, should not have been a factor.
  6. Rhule needs to get off analytics and Start Christensen at LT and put Brown in at Guard. Let them play the season out and show what they can do. It will give us a better idea of what we need to do going into the draft.
  7. Which is why running with Cam is a better option.
  8. I mostly agree but other and trading for ANOTHER QB you are either going to have to ride with Cam or draft a 3rd rounder because our 2nd is gone. If you are going to draft a LT than get the best, use free agency to get top tier talent on the O-line and let Cam run the offense. Focus on 2023 for a QB. We'll have a full complement of draft picks to wheel and deal with.
  9. Rivera issue was running with Vets over unproven rookies with talent. Rhule doesn't have a clue. Our season is done. He should be running with Brown and Christensen in the line up. Give those players we drafted a chance to get some experience. Brown especially. I did see him on the field, not sure how many plays he got. Somehow Rhule, and I believe this, believes we still have a chance to make the playoffs. As they pointed out in the game Sunday. We have the toughest remaining schedule. Buffalo and TBx2 are definitely loses and N.O. is fighting for a Playoff spot. They'll beat us too. 5-12. OMG so sickening.
  10. As much as I like CMC trading him would most likely be the easiest to swallow. I think Hubbard and Abdullah can handle the load. I would not trade any of our defensive players other than maybe Jackson. I do have a very strong feeling that Fitterer is going to trade down and get our 2nd back.
  11. I know Cam has had his struggles but I'd ride him one more season. Get a full offseason and give him an offensive line. (Something that has been missing since Gross retired). You can either bring in some top tier free agents and draft the best QB available or draft a good LT and find a latter round QB that has potential. I would definitely run with him if we bring in new coach and a rookie QB. Give the rookie a chance to learn the offense and be ready for 2023.
  12. We are one loss from tying our longest non-winning seasons. (09-12) and solidifying our spot at another top 10 pick. Currently 8th. The question is, what should be our primary target in the 2022 draft. QB or LT? I don't follow college football players as much as I do the teams, but it appears there are some really good offensive linemen available as well as some interesting QBs. The problem is if we draft a QB than we are in the same boat as we were this year. A really crappy line but, if we draft a LT than we don't have a QB to execute the offense. The Darnold trade really kills the opportunity to get both in the first 2 rounds. I would probably take the top LT (ONLY LT) and run with Cam one more season hopefully finding a QB in 2023 or a later round QB that can be groomed.
  13. I don't see that happening. Pickett will be long gone before we select unless we lose out are are in the top 5. Detroit and the NYJ will be prime targets to trade down. Atlanta and Houston will be in the QB market. I would not be surprised to see 2 or 3 QBs go before we get a chance to pick.
  14. I agree with everything but the draft picks. Brady and possibly Brown should be starting. They are rookies but they aren't any worse than what we have out there now. Both probably have an opportunity to get better whereas the current players have no where to go but down. Brown really disturbs me because he was carrying extra weight but he lost it yet It seems they wanted him to lose more. Let the man play and show what he can do at his current weight. I don't think he was put on IR for a real injury. Had we let them play more this year we would have had a better evaluation of what we need going into the 2022 draft. Now we have 2 rookies with very limited playing time and have to decide whether they were good picks or we have to choose another player to compete with them.
  15. I like Rhule I think his ideas are good but he is basing everything off Temple and Baylor. It's as if the only way he can succeed is utilizing coaches he's known in college. Our staff doesn't have enough NFL experience. These coaches have no one in their ear saying. "That won't work up here"
  16. The firing now helps with letting Rhule go after the season. Had we waited until the end of the season Rhule gets a pass for 2022. If we don't see some sort of improvement I think he's done after the season.
  17. I was just going by the current team position but Seattle Giants and Miami could easily win more games than us.
  18. Last draft everyone was on the "athletic" QB and downplayed Mac Jones, who probably is the front runner for offensive rookie of the year. I hope we keep our options open for a smart talented QB that might not be as athletic as others on the board.
  19. I have 1. Det 2. Jax 3. Hou 4. Sea 5. NY Jets 6. Chic 7. NY Giants 8. Car 9. Mia 10. Philly Unless Cam gets a better grasp of this offense I am not very optimistic we win any more games this year, Maybe Atlanta, possibly New Orleans but, I think we look to 2022 and shore up the O-Line. Lions and Jags are locks in front of us. Jets have shown some fire and depending on the rest of their schedule they could, not likely, but could move ahead of us. Giants as well. Seattle and Chicago maybe. If the gods are good to us we could go as high as #3
  20. I would wish this was true but the fact is Rhule's goal was to be an NFL head coach. So unless he is fired I do not see him leaving.
  21. Hoping for the best for you and your family.
  22. I am fortunate that I have AFN. AFN shows all the games in replay through the week. I get a chance to watch a lot of games. We are, by far, the most inept offense in the league right now. Brady is the reason. Lack of experience or just plain egotistical that he can't adapt to the NFL. I said in a thread I posted earlier this week that I don't think it would matter who was under center that we aren't going to produce the high octane offense we are capable of. We have the weapons but we don't have an OC that can game plan an offense to get them the ball. Cam had a terrible day, I believe 5 or 6 of his attempts were blocked. It is pretty easy to block a short pass when you are two feet from the QB. Our O-line is abysmal and our OC cannot design plays to help with that issue. I was skeptical of a college OC and only went onboard because anything was better than Shula. Now I am not so sure.
