I actually think the Panthers might end up drafting a LB or WR. It makes them less desperate to get DL help. CB is still on the table though, but I'd hate it at 8 overall.

If the defense improves with similar results on offense from 2024, this is a 8-9 win team. If Bryce takes another step forward it’s a playoff team. That’s IF the defense improves. They’ve made a huge investment in defense so here’s hoping it works out.

Mason Graham would be a lot like Star Lotulelei falling to the Panthers who at one point was mocked #1 overall and fell to #14, but I don't see it happening. Panthers might honestly want to trade down unless they fall in love with an offensive prospect.

For the right price, not at the sacrifice of other positions on defense, this is a good signing. Breaking the bank for him would just be similar to what the Panthers did signing lower tier guys like Shy Tuttle to bad deals and messing up the cap. Fitterer did such a bad job on this roster I’m surprised he still has a job in the NFL.

I imagine that if the Panthers don’t want him back he can’t play at a high level anymore. Too many injuries.

The amount of quality C the panthers have passed on in the draft the past 5 years makes me want to vomit. The Panthers have been awful at drafting since Tepper took over.

The “Joe Person is a tool” trope is pretty worn out. I think he has had on again off again sources with the team over the years. Occasionally he coughs up a good article but sometimes he’s very lazy. The Panthers have by and large been poorly covered. I think it’s time for some fresh voices. That said the conversation about keeping Moton at that cap number is crazy. He’s a good player but no way he’s worth $31m. That’s 3 starters on defense. They’ll be drafting a tackle somewhere in the draft I guarantee it. Wouldn’t even be a bad idea in the first round if they traded down.

DT/NT Vernon Broughton from Texas. Will probably be a 4th or 5th round pick. Guy really started to come on late in the season. His stats don’t show his impact. Panthers need bodies up front and with guys like Tuttle and A’Shawn Robinson likely cap casualties, they’ll need to stock up in the draft.
