Charles Johnson on cutting Ibe. Has a point!
hepcat replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
we don't know if he'd been head hunting before or what he said after but he was pretty remorseful overall -
they're fighting over who gets to eat KBs lunch
-
I hadn't heard of this player until today and this is not a good reason for me to know about you. Bye felicia
-
It's worth the pick depending on your roster. But when you've got a Jets reject as your QB and god knows who as your LT, CB takes a back seat.
-
Not when your team has massive holes at LT and QB it's not worth the pick.
-
Agree 10x. Corner is not a position to pick in the top 10.
-
I don't even know about that. I think the only guaranteed starters are Moton and Paradis. Brown or Moore might challenge for playing time at RG. All I know is they've got a lot of guys fighting for a few positions so hopefully competition brings out some solid starters.

That mofo is getting cut I can feel it. With Tremble in the fold he's expendable now. -
I have a feeling we're going to see a huge number of different starting combinations this season. That usually happens when you don't have a guaranteed set of bookend tackles. LT continues to be a massive need for this team ever since Jordan Gross retired.

It was noted many times on here that in 2019, Kyle Allen and Curtis Samuel were never really on the same page. Samuel would be wide open and Allen wouldn't even look his way.

Panthers Training Camp Thoughts and Musings - Monday Edition

Well bro that's what happens when you trade for a QB that was a bust on the Jets and pass up a good QB in the first round of the draft that fell to you.

Panthers sign former Minnesota Gophers LB Jonathan Celestin
hepcat replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
yea this is what happens when you ignore a key position of need in the draft. LB is one of the worst position groups on the team. What a fall from just a few seasons ago when it was probably the best position group. -
Horn gonna need to put on boxing gloves for the rest of training camp because he's gonna be a 1st down machine if he gets as grabby as I just saw in that gif.

I'm surprised to see Erving starting at LT, thought they'd roll with Trent Scott. Bet he gets some looks with the 1st team at LT very soon. -
Marshall is a 2nd round pick with 1st round talent, he should be working scrubs like Franklin and Hartsfield. If this was Horn or Bouye he was waxing I'd be really excited.

lol I'm not making this a Watson thread, just saying that's the kind of backup PJ Walker is. The kind that you probably never want seeing the field but if he had to come in for a few plays, he could move the offense for a few drives. If he's starting for you, your team is done.

Two or Three QBs, what difference does it make?
hepcat replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think the strategy if Darnold busts is to tank the rest of the season, because that's exactly what having PJ Walker and Will Grier as your backup QB's is telling the fanbase. -
PJ Walker would be a fine QB backing up a stud QB, say if the team traded for Watson. He has legs to move the offense and enough of an arm to test teams deep. He's not a long term answer but he's a guy that can at least come in and make a few plays. Will Grier obviously is a bust and will probably transition to selling real estate or something. Panthers QB situation might be one of the worst in the NFL.
