Not ready to get my hopes up but at least the team is finally trying to build through the draft. I think this season has the most hope since before Tepper bought the team. But I also wouldn’t be surprised if they were god awful again either.

Markstrom is 35 and looks like he will be a free agent after next season. But he is a prime candidate to be cut because he has a pretty big contract and was only traded to the Devils this season. He’d be a stopgap veteran backup.

That NJ goalie is the only one on the team with any fight. Devils need a new coach. That was a garbage effort after the first period.

Unless Bryce has a HOF career, the Bears won that trade and it’s impossible to argue otherwise. This is Herschel Walker level.

It's tough to say what team it will be and for what player, but there will likely be players other teams will want to trade up to #8 to get. Is that Sanders or some other player? Who knows. As much as I want the Panthers to add a potential blue chip player at #8, the roster is still very depleted and additional draft capital could be more valuable. Imagine dropping down to 21 in the first and getting another first next year as well. Can't say no to that.

Warren would not be a bad pick. But I have a feeling one of the top guys falls and the Panthers will have a chance to trade down. Imagine if Sanders falls to 8, and a team like the Steelers offer a big time package to trade up to get him. Would be hard to turn down.

I wouldn't be upset if this was the pick. I prefer a defensive pick but, Warren could be a 10 year elite TE.

There seems to be a focus on improving the talent on defense this offseason and Evero will have more tools in his toolbox in 2025. It's hard to judge Evero's performance because he has not been given many resources to succeed. The highest defensive player they've selected during his time with the Panthers is Trevin Wallace at 72 overall. They've filled the defense with free agents the past few years and the results have largely been bad. At times in 2023, I thought Evero was making salad out of sh*t with the defense performing well despite the offense being complete and total garbage. The script seemed to flip in 2024 when an insurmountable amount of injuries torpedoed the defensive performance. Even an improvement to an average defense could mean a few more wins.

Solid move. RB3 and KR/PR.

Exactly. There's no way they will be worse than last year with even minor improvements on defense. But it's a small market team that has been very bad for a long time so the AI bots generating these articles are incapable of projecting improvement. Plus Bryce finally started showing semblance of being a competent NFL QB late in the season.
