JC Horn has something to say about our team reaching for a QB with an early pick. If they were enamored, even slightly, I think we all agree they should have / would have taken one of the guys (Fields or Mac) early, last year. I think with Fit involved, they'll make a pretty good decision there.

We can only really judge him by his ability to adapt and overcome. I'd say realistically, it takes at least five years to figure out what you have in an owner. I want to say ten years, given how hard it is to find an elite coach but.. I'll concede with five.

Would you take rookie Deebo or rookie CMC in the SF role?

I'd say not running him up the middle 10 times a game would help in keeping him healthy. It'd be how we've been asking him to have been used for a few seasons now. I think it's a good template if we keep him.

Let's assume CMC is "healthy" at the start of this next season.. How do you feel these two players compare? Do you think CMC would be any better than Deebo in his role in SF?

When the defense isn't getting demoralized on the first drive of the game, they play pretty well. We've had a top 5 defense most of the season so far. Is that not progress?
