New PFT article on what the Saints want for Payton
top dawg replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was going to say the exact same thing. -
I've seen him on several occasions, and I don't believe you. ¯\_ (ツ) _/¯ LOL
-
Nobody up on Kelce in the red zone. It was kinda sneaky.
-
Pacheco 7th round. That's a combination of luck and scouting.
-
Go on record now before the hire is made Re: Sean Payton

Notable omissions on both sides...hmmm -
I am rooting for the GIANTS tonight and you should too!

Maybe you should pull for him to come home... -

Well, I like Sirianni. That Steichen guy is looking pretty good too. -
I hope you're right. If you're wrong, I'll be too busy commiserating to think about anyone "eating crow." To be clear, we're just suggesting that you might wanna slow your role, not that you're going to be wrong or right.
-
Wilks' Panthers did kick Campbell's Lions asses though. Just saying. And, no, I'm not a Wilks guy.
-
Yeah, he's got to be younger than us. I've lived too much to have blind optimism.
-
Yeah, I don't know why some people are trying to suggest he's such an awful guy. He pretty much came in with a classy move, giving the security officer business cards. Just because you don't agree with every opinion or move that someone makes doesnt necessarily make them a bad person. If everyone judged like that, we'd probably be in a constant state of civil war.

Saints sending us Sean Payton be like..
top dawg replied to The Huddler's topic in Carolina Panthers
And to top it off, we might have to pay a Payton premium. Me no like. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/01/20/panthers-saints-trade-high-price-sean-payton/ -
Sean Payton’s Panthers interview is on hold

I'm going to be flat out happy. -
People seem to be sleeping on Mike Kafka as a candidate
top dawg replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
I can't even remember what I was forced to read by Kafka, but it was boring to me. But whenever I see the name "Kafka," I think of Franz Kafka. Every time! Out of all the writers that I read in school, Henry David Thoreau was my favorite. Of course his mentor Ralph Waldo Emerson was a close second. I also enjoyed Richard Bach. -
I'm seeing too much smoke. I just hope the room isn't big enough for their two egos and that Payton is just blowing smoke. Reports are making it sound like Tepper is ready to bend over and let Payton have his way.
-
Some fool might do it. I don't think Tepper's a fool right now, but if he does that I will change my mind. I don't like the reports that essentially say that Tepper is willing to do anything (in so many words). Payton ain't worth all that in my book.
-
I don't know. I just know that I don't particularly want Payton or Wilks. I had warmed up to the idea of Johnson, but we know how that went. I'm intrigued by Kafka.
-
Yep. Actually reading the latest news in this thread gives me hope.
-
Well that's a bit judgmental.

David Tepper.... Year 5 ownership, + and - of Tepper
top dawg replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
When did Tepper get involved with Personnel? Are you talking non-players? All owners get involved in the hiring of managers and coaches (and I'd assume they have input on blockbuster deals). I haven't seen Tepper make any direct decisions on a player; for better or worse he lets his hirelings make those decisions. -

top dawg replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dude, it's not year 5, it's year 4. Tepper was responsible for the 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 teams -
Roman Harper thinks Sean Payton could be our next HC now
top dawg replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It wasn't like that. It was fueled by a belief in something bigger than yourself. Official campaign staffers were few and far between. The preponderance of YangGang were individuals and volunteers. No one had to pay us. If there was something that needed to be done, it was mostly done by grassroots' donations. The presence on Twitter were regular people eager to spread the message and confront lies. It was awesome while it lasted. -
Ask Ram fan; it's totally worth it.
