  1. Need to save cash for Burns and DJ, also need to save some incase one of the "Big 3" were to come here next offseason...Rodgers, Russell, Watson.
  2. If it's more than 2 1's, and it will be, I'm out. Personally, I'm probably out just on the info we know, but as stated, thats a different discussion.
  3. Negative. Cut out the commercial guys, and let the recreational guys enjoy their fishery. A 15" flounder is almost the perfect size for cooking and eating...not to mention being able to find 18"ers is all but out of the question. F commercial guys.
  4. Will look like a good deal once the TV money hits.
  5. Digging it. The exact type of player that teams should invest in.
  6. Yea, I think that Ridley is very good as well. Glad DJ is getting some love.
  7. IF Watson plays this season, and it's not looking great, he should have all of this behind him by next season...Rodgers is going to get traded next year, and Russell very well be on the block next season as well. If Sam isn't it, we can still go make a BIG splash if we think we are close. We shall see.
  8. Keep hearing the "we didn't make a BIG move in free agency". True, but we were damn sure trying. Between Watson and Stafford we were willing to risk a LOT to try and win sooner rather than later. We were trying our asses off, and were it not for Watson needing massages air mailed to him, we would all be singing a different tune right now, and who knows where Sam would be. More excited about this team than any for some time now.
  9. Expect this trend to continue for some time.
  10. Little different situation, but similar. Grandparents had a tiny place on one of the barrier islands...had a pier. Any day of the year we could catch enough out of the surf, or off their pier to feed 5-10 people. All legal keepers, and caught on 15 cent Carolina Rigs. Now, if you are allowed to fish....you need the dang near best of everything, including a boat to find them....and you MIGHT get a keeper if you stick with it for a couple hours. The commercial industry (political assholes) have ruined the fishery here in NC for the "little guys". Damn shame.
  11. Didn't really have any major issues over the moves, I was more disappointed in a non move we made.
  12. Same, I'm hoping that he can help with both pass pro and lead blocker for CMC. Should be really fun.
  13. No kidding. If you ever watched a minute of football, you could tell Cam wasn't close to his previous self...many here wanted to believe though.... End of the day, Cam is very responsible for his downfall, as are Ron, Marty, Dave, Jerry, his agent, and quite a few others if I had to guess. Careers in the NFL are short, and are shortened by "different" types of players. Those guys who knock the hell out of others, fly around like their hair is on fire, QB's who try to be dumptrucks, etc....sucks that it happened to one of ours, but here we are. Good luck Cam.
  14. If we could only figure out what is happening to all the flounder....it can't be the netters, commercial guys, or the shrimp boats.... Joke.
  15. When he say's "fully" I think he means he just can't remember every single word on every single page just yet...haha. Dude was different for sure, on and off the field.
  16. Can't imagine anyone actually looking forward to the heat and humidity of a South Carolina Summer day.
  17. Can't believe I read that.
  18. Steve is a HOF'er...however he's likely not a 1st ballot HOF'er. Couple things working against him. Small market team. No rings. 2 All Pro's Log jam at his position. I think he get's in, and his current media gig may help him in a little sooner, but I don't think it's a quick as many in Panther Land are expecting.
  19. Do not buy this, they are wrong. Also, helps to remember...real estate is ALWAYS local...national trends are for the birds.
  20. Here come the "sub primes" again. Hold your horses.
  21. Should have done it before we kicked off last season...like most smart teams would have done. Either way, you gotta pay him, he's the exact type of player that you are supposed to extend, we just did it a year late. P.S. please get out of the habit of back loading deals...get the guaranteed money out of the way as quickly as possible.
  22. Low end is where you will want to be. When the payments start adding up, and the checks are gone...here comes the repo man...those folks will still need transport...so buy here pay here places will be in good shape. At least that's my hunch.
  23. Who called it a wasted pick? End of the day, drafting DT's in the top 10 is somewhat strange, but happens...normally to generational players...let's hope that Brown is one of those. This isn't hating on the player, he's a great player, but top 10 is usually reserved for different positions.
  24. This honestly didn't bother me. Best one in the nation, get him for cheap and guarantee 4 years salary at a position we were going to lose our starter this year or next.... Don't really like the idea of kicker either, but when you are like us, and overpay the position, it's a good idea to lock a very good one down on the cheap for 4 years. That's how you build a roster. Hurney was in charge then though, so roster construction was never considered.
