  1. This is a legit inquiry for those with thoughts on the matter, I recall Brady getting some snaps a game or two ago as the 6th O-Lineman on a run and Deonte has been inactive for 4 games. The left side of the OL has regressed each week it ''feels'' like, and as ''meh'' as Elflein was playing could Daley actually be worse? I know they said Brady and the shorter arms, but he played LT over RT in college, and is the most athletic O-Lineman on the roster I think we need to see him, he can't be worse than Erving or could he Deonte per the team has lost roughly 30 pounds, and is in the 330's per a Rhule presser a few weeks back, I'm just tired of seeing our interior OL knocked off the spot and back into the pocket as our interior at is fairly light (low 300s on Elf and Dice). I'd like to see what this young man can do, and hopefully we don't wait as long as we did for Whitehead to be benched. I have no idea if these young men are ready, but I think we could use a spark, I understand wanting to and why you'd field a veteran OL with a younger QB, but PHI DL is stout as well, anchored by Cox, if the veterans can't get it done, we might need to see what the young guys can do. Options (Left to Right) Moton / Brown / Paradis / Miller / Christensen Christensen / Brown / Paradis / Miller / Moton
  2. We are 3-1, most people didn't anticipate that start... We have -- PHI / MIN / NYG / ATL / NE -- over the next 5 weeks, if we manage 3-2 over those 5, we're sitting at 6-3 at the midway mark of the season. The last three in that five to me are very winnable, PHI and MIN may be a little tougher. If we get through that patch 6-3 or better, we probably have a shot at a Wild Card, ARI / TB 2x / BUF are as good and most would consider them better than DAL so that is likely 4 losses in the back half of the season. So as far as a shot at the playoffs the next five games are critical, we need to win at least 3.
  3. Gutted, we still have 5 picks, and this past draft we turned 6 picks into 11. Relax.
  4. No, the Byron Bell, Nate Chandler days were much worse.
  5. Tried to tell folks a few weeks back I was noticing a base switch to a 34 front. Good info here.
  6. It's quoted that the Jaguars asked for him to be apart of the deal directly. So the OTHER team making the request doesn't equate to us ''not wanting to poo on a guy on his way out''. Was just honest commentary and transparency on the deal. It's a situation where we didn't have a choice if we wanted to secure C.J. Henderson.
  7. Grain of salt or not the team didn't WANT to trade Dan Arnold, the Jaguars insisted on him being apart of the deal. There are plenty of sourced quotes you can look up on that. Uzomah is 6'7'' Tremble is listed in different places as 6'3 -4'', Dan Arnold is 6'6'', he actually more closely imitates Uzomah's size. I think more than anything this just ramps up the time table on Tremble's on field development, they have to be comfortable with a pairing of him and Thomas moving forward. I like everything Tremble brings to the table, I'm looking forward to more reps and accelerating his development.
  8. THIS, I don't know if there was a lot of laundry vs PHI but I can see us being the small market undefeated team the NFL doesn't want to see outshine ''America's Team'' like there isn't a total of 32, get that bs outta here. I hope we are able to whoop that a** like we did on Thanksgiving, and just shut all them mf'ers the f*** up! I'm fired up!!!
  9. I can't say it's the best pass rush as to me that defaults to front 4. I'd have to give that to years past, now as far as GETTING PRESSURE, this is the best we've ever seen as we remind me more of the Jets under Rex Ryan. Jaycee (once healthy) and Henderson have shutdown skill sets / potential -- so we're looking at a newer Revis / Cromartie (no I am not calling them that yet, just setting up the vision that I see developing). Then with Jackson, Bouye (under contract next year), and the depth we can match up against really anyone. Now pair in two of the FASTEST guys off the edge in Burns / Reddick, then the interior with Brown, Jones, Roy, Nixon, and additional edge depth from Luvu, Haynes, and the kid from Buffalo we can throw waves at opposing teams all game. Not to mention we bring the ILB's, and the Safeties, and corners off the edge to blitz as well, if you go back and watch you'll see Jaycee in the slot blitzing vs NO, and HOU. You can also go back to Henderson's time at FL and see he spent time in the slot, and also blitzed of the edge from there as well. This is BECOMING the most talented defense as a whole, we've always had a stud or two and JAGS, now we have several studs + good proven players. I'm excited to see what this becomes, it's just year 2.
  10. Scott is a T, I don't think he's had meaningful reps at either G position. If Miller is a no go it's likely Brady that steps in.
  11. After Dallas we face... PHI / MIN / NYG / ATL / NE In that order, even if we were to lose, I think we can pull it off, those are 5 very winnable games and could see us at 8-1 with a loss to DAL. If we beat DAL, we could be looking at 9-0. This part of our schedule it ripe for the taking to set up a playoff appearance. Sam has been developing each week, and we still have Chuba, and Royce, factor in DJ's continued emergence, Robbie will get his, TMJ, and Tremble, we have more than enough fire power to keep up with anyone, and our defensive pressure is top tier. Henderson brings damn near the same physical profile / tools as Horn, once he's acclimated behind this front paired with Jackson, and Bouye...I feel good about our chances Sunday.
  12. The amount of concern over trading a 3rd here is mind blowing, did you all not just witness our what 6 picks in the 2021 draft turn into 11. I believe we still have a -- 1, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7 -- if memory serves. Given the tendency shown in the draft, and in season to trade, we will likely be trading back in the first to accumulate more selections. This young man has all the tools similar to Jaycee, and was a consensus top corner in the 2020 draft. It seems to have been well reported that he DID NOT want to go to JAX. See Eli Manning forcing a trade to NYG because SD was known as a team with bad management. Go turn on the film and breakdowns that are out there, we have more in our favor to tap his potential than JAX, and not to mention, we are a better defense, and TEAM overall. This was a good move. 6'1 / 204 lbs -- 9.97 RAS with the tape from college, and in his 8 games last year to back it up before injury.
  13. If KC couldn't smoke and mirror their way in the SB, I have little doubt we can with this group. Decastro, and Schwartz are still FA's recovering from injuries. Aside from that I can't see a team trading a ''good'' OL piece. Now that our 2022, 2nd and 3rd round picks are spoken for, options are limited unless we start to look at Brady and Deonte.
  14. Need to be excited to see Tremble, With Dan here that was going to limit reps. Ian Thomas IMO is still a solid receiving option and is a little better in the run blocking department that Arnold. So Tremble, Thomas, and I supposed Thompson are the game day corners; Sullivan on the PS.
  15. Horn spent A LOT of the Saints game as the Nickel defender, Henderson has tape there as well from JAX. Donte' lined up inside, and outside at LSU, and even played off the LOS as a safety at times. I'm not to worried about scheme fits, these guys are all versatile, and TOP tier athletes at the position.
  16. Long story short: Horn under contract through 2026 *including* 5th year option Henderson's guaranteed money is being paid by JAX, and is under contract through 2024, and has a 5th year option available for 2025 We can pay Jackson and so long as the deal / guaranteed money wraps by the 2024 - 2025 season we are fine. That is how you are able to keep all three for the next several seasons. Also Donte' is likely viewed as a #2 or #3 by ''most'' teams, will he get paid sure, but it won't be top tier money, at 5'10'' and 180 lbs his matchups are by niche, he can't guard a Mike Evans, or DK Metcalf, that's what guys the size of Horn and Henderson are for.
  17. Another team would have to be willing to part with GOOD / QUALITY OL. Given the shortage across the league this is less likely to happen which is why BELOW AVERAGE TO AVERGE OL tend to get overpaid in free agency. He touched on this in a presser right around the end of camp / pre-season if memory serves.
  18. Just something to sink your teeth into as we all get acclimated to the newest addition.
  19. We have 5 years of Horn (assuming we pick up the 5th yr), and we have 3 years of Henderson, now peep this, we only have to pay his base salary for 22, 23, and 24, in 25 he's eligible for a 5th year option. JAX is accountable for his guaranteed salary until that 5th year, so we have the money to extend Jackson, and have it end around this time and decide who to keep then.
  20. It's kinda crazy right, imagine getting in rhythm versus the random spot duty... I'm still frustrated by his hands out the backfield as he's had drops since the pre-season, but I believe he's a good runner of the rock. Him and Royce should be interesting as Royce learns the PB.
  21. The poo people say here is nuts. There is NO way Burns doesn't break the bank if he continues to perform ala TJ in PIT. Between, a 5th year option, the FT, and the eventual extension he will be here.
  22. He's an OLB, on the EDGE of the defense, and he's typically in a 2pt stance. Calling him a DE is a stretch even if you see some hand in the dirt alignments from him.
