  1. Feel bad for backs man. They need a new minimum wage or something. Such a brutal position on the body, and you end up with relative peanuts.
  2. We really need to sit tight, keep our assets, and give reps to Mingo/TMJ, so we can actually know what we have heading into next season. Let Mingo work through his lumps. It will only make him better. And 100% determine if TMJ is worth keeping. We MUST have a definitive answer before season end. We would already have that answer but Anderson was allowed to stink up the field each Sunday instead.
  3. Chinn is smaller, faster Frankie Luvu. That’s how he should be used. Let him use his explosion to hit some dudes.
  4. Seriously. This place is wild!
  5. Yup. It’s wise to be patient. Not every player will “make it.” If you are patient, some will. If you are impatient, none will.
  6. I’d be careful judging that statement without the full context. Also, I think some of this is extending grace to your rookie quarterback, and taking ownership of those picks as a the head coach. That’s not Rhule-ian at all.
  7. Basically Bates was either given freedom, or took liberty on his own to jump those routes, when the actual defensive call required him to be deeper than he was. He gambled. And he gambled well. So film probably indicated he was supposed to be deep center, but that he cheated up instinctually.
  8. Easiest guy you could ever root for. I still remember watching that training video (Achilles) and it was heart breaking.
  9. Dude had 7 tackles, 4 TFL, 1.5 sacks, and 1 forced fumble…against a dinky dunk passing game plan… If you are angry/dissatisfied after his week 1 performance, well; he ain’t the problem.
  10. All I know is every time I see “Saints”, I get a terrible feeling that lasts 0.43 seconds because I still associate Drew Brees as their QB, but then immediately I calm down and remember he’s gone. Bryce has a clean game this weekend. Evero gets production out of Henderson/Hill, Burns gets 2 sacks (1 a strip sack) still motivated by the lack of an extension. 24-13 Panthers all day long.
  11. Horn is also a stud starter. We hit on the pick. Injury is just injury. Can’t blame anyone for it. poo happens. Yeah it sucks that other stud starters were picked that have been more fortunate, but I would only care on passing on those if Horn was trash, but dude is an all pro talent. He’s just unlucky, or the added physically of the pro game doesn’t agree with his body. And you don’t know that until you know that.
  12. Oh people did that the entirely of Cams career to make it appear like he wasn’t a great QB. Yeah those 700+ yards and 7+ Td’s on the ground don’t count the same as passing ones.
  13. People need to define what “total rebuild” means to them. I bet that means a different thing to everyone. Is it a certain percentage of roster turnover? If so, that varies from person to person. Is it turnover at important positions? Is it trading all the star players? Is it old players retiring? “Rebuild” to me is when a cluster of top vets/leaders retire/are traded/are released, and you have to develop the next leaders. So “rebuild” to me happened when Cam/Luke/Olsen/Kalil/Davis/CJ/Stewart, etc. were not on the roster anymore. Sometimes rebuilds don’t work, and we will know this for sure if Bryce isn’t the answer within two years. Your rebuild has to coincide with establishing your starting quarterback, and the timeline of other key players needs to align with that QB.
  14. You could really see the added size and strength yesterday. Tacklers were bouncing off in ways I hadn’t seen from him before. But I never disliked him as a runner…it’s always been those damn hands of his lol.
  15. But were you screaming for Parsons as an edge? Hindsight is enormous with Parsons. There were questions with him as a stand up linebacker and I’m doubtful if someone claims they saw elite edge rusher as his direction.
  16. Entirely turnovers were the difference. Just one of those games where every mistake we made was a turnover, and every time the falcons put the ball on the ground, it bounced back to them. Ridder had problems and looked terrible out there. If he was our QB we would be feeling awful right now even with the W.
  17. Hill immediately came in and made a fantastic tackle (for loss?) in the flats. That was encouraging.
  18. 2015 was a season most fans never get…even Super Bowl teams. We lost only twice all year, and we were without a doubt the best team. The best Pats team was not one of Tom’s 7 Super Bowl teams either.
  19. Players are irrelevant. “Fans” who write off, or crown players after 1 game know very little. It’s emotional. That’s it.
  20. I saw how this place reacted to Corral after half a preseason game. The Bryce doom today shouldn’t surprise a soul.
  21. And if I might add, it’s OKAY that he was anxious/nervous out there. He’s a rookie starting his first game. If people are seriously over Bryce this early, they are trolling or emotional and they need to be taken with a grain of salt. If people simply point out that he (or the passing game) didn’t look as advertised today; that, in itself, isn’t hate.
  22. Did you read the OP? Read the whole post. Read my whole post. You’re right about context. That also applies to comments you reply to. Your response seems like you read “Teddy, Darnold, and PJ are better than Bryce.” But that’s not what I said. But context be damned.
  23. Same. Teddy, Darnold, and even PJ had better games than Bryce did today. I believe Bryce is better than all those guys, but he didn’t show it today. Let’s not pretend today was something better than what it was. If Bryce is a “super computer” like hyped to be, he will watch the tape, learn, and grow. Too early in this young man’s career to give up, but let’s call a spade a spade today.
