  1. I wish him well on his journeys ahead and it feels to be past all of this. Unreal the money this guy was able to roll into.
  2. Feels a lot more refreshing than post-Rivera when Keenan Thompson stepped into the role.
  3. FIFY We had arguably 4 HOFers for multiple years: Luke Cam Olsen TD With a few sprinkled in: Smitty Tillman Jared Allen Kealoha Pilares
  4. Okay, after ready the juice, Scott's article isn't that damning or incendiary. More of a combination of a save-face, "look at me", and continuing the illusion of sparring without really sinking that deep. Tepper went out in public and took it on the chin, and it's not like he beat him down verbally, he had a minor/somewhat agitated response to Fowler. He claimed he has to learn, will likely seek consultants for the next coach, and is moving forward trying to win. I think reporters are wanting him to somehow admit fault for not firing Rhule at the end of last year, or to get a reason. Well I think it was clear: Rhule needed to come into this year hot, pants on fire, we had a new QB with playoff wins under his belt, new OC, and let's see, 5 weeks in, we have the worst team in the league. So yeah, he's fired after being kindly allowed a third chance. Tepper gave him that final shot whether people like it or not, and you know, he had enough after it started off again. He got new coaches, a new QB, and still sucked. So we pulled to cord sooner than later this time.
  5. Thx, realized it was my ad blocker. Have to pause it for the CO to make their impressions/moolah
  6. College season is still young but scouts seem to be leaning that there's currently 3 Round 1 QBs in Young, Stroud and Levis. Potentially more depending on how the CF season shakes out--Ward, McCall, Jefferson, Hall, Hooker, etc. Penix, Van Dyke, Richardson are a bit on the outs right meow.
  7. Eason would be fun to test out. No expectations, but we're at the bottom, let's just have fun and go ham.
  8. I think it's more so the case of just accepting he's the owner and hoping for the best. As a fan, unless he's caught doing something awful, he's the owner and you can't do much about it. So don't waste your time whining about the small stuff. Definitely put the pressure on him when he makes poor decisions, (Rock Hill fiasco, wrong emphasis of upgrades/improvements) but I don't see a need to incessantly complain that he is the owner. We aren't changing that. It is what it is. -J. Fox
  9. Yeah I thought it was because didn't he say along the lines of, "C'mon Scott, c'mon. I read your columns, I read them, I know what I could regurgitate" If it was SF, then major props to him. That was a ballsy question to ask.
  10. Doesn't really seem to be his style. Everything I've gathered from the hombre is that he either isn't good at or simply doesn't really care about the more surface level PR. It also shows in the way he dresses and carries himself. And this isn't in a digging way, but he's just himself, he's not some finely trimmed stoic YSL wearing muchacho with a high and tight.
  11. We are the worst team in the league with no real HC and QB. There is really nothing to be concerned about, that is the reality to accept, we've got the whole ladder in front of us. Hell, we aren't even on the ladder, it's propped up and we're standing in front of it without pieces to even step on it yet. No need to push for worse feelings, this is the true bottom. We've been here twice before, just navigate it peeps.
  12. Agreed narddog. He did what fans have been clamoring for, no filter, straight shooting. You got to see his true feels about it; not many owners are willing to do that and honestly, it's refreshing. I haven't been the biggest fan but he took it. Would like to see anyone like the Haslams or heck, even Irsay face that type of music. Yeah he didn't make the best choice with Rhule, let's just move forward and hope we figure the next one out. He's one of the only owners that doesn't feel like this inaccessible billionaire elite too good for the fans. He's at least on level and accessible to receive the fan backlash, others just avoid it at all costs.
  13. Corbett versus his old team, Donald knows that dude's tendencies from practice so that will be a fun thing to watch. I want PJ to be just chucking it up to DJ and Shi deep all day. But they're still operating McAdoo's offense so
  14. I just sense an overall sigh of relief in the organization. He had people clenching. Tight jaws and rears. Tepper just gave a bottle of pepcid to the franchise
  15. Top OCs: Shane Steichen, Wes Phillips, Ken Dorsey, & Ben Johnson Top DCs: Demeco Ryans, Larry Foote, Jerod Mayo Positional/Other: Bubba Ventrone Retreads: I'd prefer none
  16. I don't know. You know, it's like a feeling I get in my pants hombre.
  17. Tepper alluded to actually getting some consultants in his presser to help this time so a lot of the names right now are going to be the hot ones the media is propping up. Our next HC is likely not in the discussion yet. I do really love the idea of this Shane Steichen feller. Given what he's done with Herbert and Hurts who both had major questions as prospects and MANY here not wanting them, imagine what he could do with Stroud or Young... Also think Kellen Moore is a real possibility given his preferential treatment in league circles but I'm not super enthused. More than Quinn though. Quinn meh-sauce.
