  1. Wait what? We’re resting game 2 and playing game 3? Nothing we do with regime ever makes sense. They seem so reactionary to everything.
  2. It is strange, I mean everyone knows it’s Mayfield right? Please be Mayfield. I can’t imagine the reaction if its Darnold
  3. I just love how jump for joy Rhule looks on the inside and Scott's face is all business, like f*ck yeah. Those two have become quite a funny couple.
  4. I mean come on peeps...coming off injury and nothing being done during or right after the draft, the price should be going down on him. Hopefully we stay patient. We can basically swap out final years with Darnold and Jimmy (or if it's Baker), I don't believe there's a market of a team willing to eat that 2022 money, especially when it can easily become rollover cap without a move. Let SF and CLE suffer unless they eat these contracts. Is Jimmy & Corral much different than Darnold & Corral? No, but if we can manage a swap, it's at least novel. This is something the staff would do to roll the dice somehow but it depends on how low 49ers are willing to go. It's something to really just be indifferent about at this point.
  5. @Zod Let's wipe rep and all board data and start from scratch. That just sounds fun. Or maybe change some account names via polls. The good stuff.
  6. I'm not really a Chubba fan. Just don't see it with him and you should pretty quickly with RBs these days. Foreman played well in relief for Henry but wasn't that special. Between the two, we have guys that can effectively fill in if CMC goes down again but I don't see one that's a 2-4 year starter. BUT we have a guy to watch out for, it's the Rhule pipeline in full effect. We landed a Rhule special as a UDFA...recruited by Matt personally, coached him (knows very well) that ended up a transferring to Penn State after Matt left for the NFL. John Lovett. That was a crowded Baylor running group and he found success at Penn State. The Baylor & PA connections are endless with this team. And dare I say, he looks more exciting than anyone on our roster aside CMC...
  7. Thanks for this. Don't know why it took this long to know what was said haha
  8. That being said, I don't see any FAs that are worthy to bring in. But with the recent success of 6th rounders to UDFAs, let's see what we've got. Was surprised we didn't expand Bonnafon more after that one Jags game but he must not have been clicking for full production at pratice or whatnot.
  9. I think the RB spot is totally worthy of discussion and good thread. Outside of CMC, we don't necessarily have the personnel to deploy the same offense we run with him. We've seen that blow up into our faces like 3 years in a row. That's the oddity in what we've done is have 2 complimentary backs to backup a workhorse rather than potentially have a potential workhorse backup. The hope was that could be Hubbard but we were playing Abdullah more than anyone at the end of last season. Sam Darnold, Ameer Abdullah and Ian Thomas were running our offense those last few weeks lol. I'd like to start looking for a new unit overall because CMC's future is somewhat uncertain. If he's healthy and has a good season, then his 2023 out of the contract could actually be a good trade chip for a team that could restructure. The ideal approach would be the new current trend of not necessarily a committee, but a unit going with the hottest gamer/freshest legs every week.
  10. Coach+QB combo plays the biggest factor with media rankings, and also tends to align with performance. We've got a guy that looks to be on his way out barring a successful season, the QB is statistically the worst starting NFL QB in the last 4 years & our best offensive player has barely played the last 2 seasons. The defense may be good and full of promising guys, but the perception is definitely in the cellar. We are here until we prove otherwise. The basement is the basement for a reason... Arthur Smith+Mariota/Ridder 70 yo Carrol+Lock/Geno Lovie+Mills/Taylor Rhule+Darnold/Corral Campbell+Goff -- The rest of that low tier have either new QBs, HCs, or both (Bears, Jets, etc.)
  11. I'd recommend certain posters relax on trying to bash a bunch of anonymous people online. Has no place in discussion. And It's a post-pandemic 2022 (not 1994) and we're all on the internet. And I imagine we're mostly from our phones. Maybe we're in line at the store, watching a kids ballgame, waiting on a SO to finish cleaning so you can go to a brunch, or getting ready for a furry party. Maybe someone's sick, working the weekend and on a break, it's life. Everyone isn't some basement dweller and the fact you keep bringing it up incessantly shows on you, not the people you're making assumptions about.
  12. Brandon Smith, Amaro and Barnes were today. Smith was the only one worthwhile, they all seemed pretty exhausted after practicing:
  13. I'm liking his temperament and the way he's able to handle the media. Him and Icky both seem smooth with the chatter. Very exciting.
  14. I'm liking 5 wins for a 4th year in a row.
  15. I think Wilson is very very high on many teams’ boards. He is a superb interviewer and awesome prospect. Also factoring in what Kupp, Chase and Deebo have meant for their teams, think he’s going to be the most sought after playmaker in the draft. I actually want him haha
