  1. Yeah I think there's a line that can be drawn but it's from prospect to prospect, not an overall "must be this tall" type thing. It reaches a point where no matter the skill, a certain frame or body type will simply have trouble against the higher level competition and NFL defenses. Sewell & Slater are both absolute studs so I don't think 3/4" is anything to dwell on like you said. I however do think when you get down to the 32ish range, it becomes a bit more of an issue because then it's notable and their game needs to compensate for it. Stepping back, some guys make up for it with their footwork, agility, quickness, & technique. It just depends but when they are a bit undersized, then those top traits need to hit on all cylinders. I believe they do with Sewell and Slater for the most part. They've held their own against some of the best DEs. A bit less with Eichenberg, Cosmi, & Mayfield. I will say, the Radunz kid is pretty interesting and I like Jenkins & Darrisaw a lot. I've grown a bit wary of Cosmi and Mayfield after liking them a lot initialy. It's kind of a combo of considering their performance and stepping back and seeing their builds.
  2. ^^jfc, I'm not saying short arms is a must. Can anyone have a nuanced convo about this? It's a thing scouts look at whether you like it or not, but like I mention, there are plenty of exceptions to the rule.
  3. I will say, the potential partners in WAS, NE and CHI could be bad this season and they would need to package their 2022 1st rounder to move up to #8. Could easily be a top-5 pick next year. Could have 2 top-16 first rounders. Great ammo to land the top QB. It's an appealing strategy but I'd hope they have a specific player or two they're targeting in a trade down. Jenkins, Darrisaw, Horn, etc.
  4. The silver is still a carryover from the 90s I'd like to see gone. #desilverize
  5. I'm posing the question with the thread. Appreciate the points about leverage by come and the apt comp to Gross. But it is true some staff's do in fact look at arm length as it is a big component to the position. But as with everything it's one of many and countless exceptions to the rule are found that make up for it like Jason Peters, Joe Thomas, Jordan Gross as I mentioned. I'm just saying with these top-2, it's something to temper expectations for. It's possible we could trade down with either Slater or Sewell available, much to the chagrin of many board members, so am tempering the mood on these guys as they'd probably be ranked 3-4ish in last year's class
  6. This year's offensive line class is really good. Really damn good. I think 5 first rounders. 9-11 in the top-50. But what I can't get past is that it's rather undersized; even the top talents. Fit mentioned how important size is and gotta say, I do wonder how it's swayed our opinions on some of these guys. Notable League-starter LTs: Wirfs: 34" Bahktiari: 34" Trent W: 34.5" Duane Brown: 34.25" Whitworth: 35" Dion Dawkins: 35" Hell, Moton: 34.13" Draft Prospects: There are 3 total LT prospects even over the typical 34" threshold: Darrisaw (34.5"), Leatherwood (34.4), & Spencer Brown (34). Darrisaw is the one true LT prospect IMO. Notable shortees: Penei Sewell: 33.25" Rashawn Slater: 33.00" Teven Jenkins: 32.88" Jalen Mayfield: 32.63" Liam Eichenberg: 32.35" Samuel Cosmi: 33.00" Dillon Radunz: 33.28" -- I'm not intending to throw shade as all 7 of my shortlist are really awesome talents and there are no doubt exceptions to the rule like Jason Peters. However, given what we've heard, I'm curious to who we like the most. Wonder if Darrisaw (who draws Okung comparisons) is viewed highly and could be a trade down target. I don't believe arms length to be make or break but a lot of teams deem it critical on the LT criteria list. This draft has GREAT OL talent, and we better capitalize, but IMO, last year's was superb and this years is slightly behind. Whatsayyou? How important is arm length? Does it warrant pause even if they look like absolute brick walls on tape? I mean, in Slater's case, this is even in the face of Chase Young last year, really controlled the dude.
  7. I don't think a QB after Wilson & Lawrence warranted us to aggressively trade up therefore, we targeted guys like Stafford, Watson, and eventually Darnold. Doesn't mean we don't take on if he falls to us at #8. If we don't land one, I think we exersize the option. This Thursday gon' be funnnn
  8. Agreed with that. A studly top-15ish. Then a very large second tier that goes to almost round 3 quantity wise/top-60. Then a big tier drop. I could see a R2 or R3 trade up. I know they want to gain picks but it's a good draft to capitalize in the 2nd/3rd.
  9. I like him more than Deshon Kizer, I mean, Kellen Mond.
  10. It all depends on how far down and who's available at 8. This type of thing is impossible to really know with team's keeping their boards close to the chest. Unpopular opion but I like Eichenberg more than Darrisaw. If we trade into the teens, there's going to be other positional talent of value as well. I caution everyone that Seattle has always tended to take some picks that no one expected at the time (Brooks, Collier, even Clark was deemed a stretch for them in the 2nd). Anticipate picks that we may feel are reaches that really aren't.
  11. Love how well they played it off like a Hot Ones episode. Noice!
  12. A very very good talent will be there in the 2nd for us. I'm just as excited about that as our first.
  13. David Moore impressed Rhule at the Senior Bowl so we got as close of a look as you can get. Could be a R3-4 get for us. I also LOVE Jermar Jackson out of Oregon State at RB.
  14. An article from a TEN site advising they bring him back: https://www.musiccitymiracles.com/2021/3/3/22294712/titans-free-agent-spotlight-dl-daquan-jones
  15. Wow. Great late signing. He's been consistent for his career and a team guy. He didn't hop around. He doesn't get sacks but our run game just got bolstered in a major way with two guys warranting double teams in the middle. Saucy.
  16. @Verge You think Miami landing Pitts makes Mike Gesicki available? He's a guy that could crank it up to a Kittle/Kelce level next year.
  17. Yep, like I said two posts prior and plenty elsewhere you snarky elder.
  18. A random thought but I wouldn't be opposed to targeting Eichenburg in a trade-up if Fields falls to us. Then trade down in the 3rd to gain lost picks. Between Mayfield, Eichenburg, Cosmi, and Radunz, there is some really promising OT talent with our second pick.
  19. I wouldn't overlook Arthur Smith's interest in Pitts. ATL is the wildcard. TOTALLY agree DET is the likely trade down team and CIN goes Chase. For Miami, with Pitts gone, I see them targeting Waddle. They need a playmaker to pair with Tua and see what he's got. Their trade back up was to ensure a top-3 playmaker. Even with my counter points, we are still looking at Sewell, Slater, all CBs, Smith WR, and maybe the last remaining R1 QB. Sewell could very well happen for us.
  20. I will reserve judgement until this settles (if it even does) but some interesting notes: -Only 2 lawsuits claim forced sexual incidents took place -Of the 2 that were sexual in nature, for 1 (the lesbian therapist), Watson's attorneys pose that they have damning receipt-based evidence (or) other people providing information counter to her filings. -One showed up at his door unannounced to give him an extra massage -Another would text & offer him to a massage after his games -Still though, it doesn't mean this is all a farce. He very well may have crossed the lines from a professional standpoint and furthermore, clearly has a porn-inspired massage fetish. I think the snowballing of cases could lead this to backfire on the plaintiffs and the legitimate ones may get lumped in with the false ones.
