I don't think our draft choices were the big problem. In fact I think going all in one side of the ball in a draft can pay off because you end up developing a unit of the team that becomes dominant and masks a lot of the flaws elsewhere. I don't think our selections are necessarily the problem at this point. Guys that looked good last year look bad now. The defense was on fire at the start of the season and they now they are getting pushed around. Just seems like a coaching and motivation issue. That said we have clearly ignored the offensive line so I'm not justifying that, but we've been ignoring o-line since 2015 honestly.

Honestly just want to see Cam ball out.

It’s worse because this team should be better than where Rivera was at the time. The overall weapons, secondary and pass rush should be on par or better. The strong start and collapse is also worse and not indicative of progress. Rivera basically just relied on Cam to save him once he realized he had an automatic short yardage machine and the GOAT MLB being his on field DC for him.

Jake was most definitely treated like a franchise QB after 03/04. And he was resigned like one too.

He'll be another cast off that becomes an elite player for another team.

Or even stand up to the officiating crews for looking the other way when Cam was being headhunted.
