  1. I see I'm not the only one to think this. Haha! No joke tho, would seriously suck.
  2. Agreed. I said I thought his legacy was some what tarnished because it seemed a bit childish to bring it up. I understand why he would be upset, but no one knows why some didn't make it. Probably spending time with their families (players), dealing with draft (coaches/GM). I thought it was jacked he mentioned it.
  3. I'd say slightly. Why even bring it up? I don't think less of him, but I will always remember him mentioning it. But at the same time, I'm surprised only one showed. May right? Draft time for coaches, and family time for players. They may have had good reasons.....who knows?
  4. If take him in a second. Versatile and will prob be BPA if he falls. Plus like u said, TD can't play forever.........can he?
  5. I just want to say that you just CAN NOT compare my job to Cam's. I'm a factory worker, he is a NFL QB. Me taking a lower salary to bring me in some help would just be plain stupid. I don't benefit at all from any success my employer makes, unless he decides to give me a raise. Which has little to do with the help around me. I have no Super Bowl, no Pro Bowl, no Hall of Fame, no body knows how many parts I bend outside of my job. (No stats) I said all that to say this. Cam taking less money to surround himself with weapons makes sense. I understand if he doesn't want to, not my point. Our job situations are just different, vastly. I gain zilch from giving a home town discount and asking for someone to give me better help.......that is honestly one of the craziest comparisons I have ever seen.
  6. Also, my job doesn't hand out Super Bowl Production Rings......no Hall of Fame....Pro Bowl......they really don't reward you in any way like his job.....
  7. I don't seebit as a flaw, but it does need to be used wisely. I have no problem with BPA within reason. We have a QB & MLB, we don't need another. I think Getts understands this: 83 overall- MLB 80 overall- Strong Safety GRAB THE SS!!! I hope anyway....
  8. I might be the only one to say this, but I'm not sure Dwayne Jarrett was that bad of a receiver. Maybe something behind the scenes, but I remember him making some tough catches in traffic. I also remember wondering why he didn't get more looks.
  9. But that towel tho... On a serious note, I completely agree with you. People don't realize that Newton is a tremendous talent. There are players who are excellent who have never even played in a Super Bowl/Championship Game. So much goes into building a successful team. It's not about one person. However, you can build around one person. For us, that is Cam. Cam has done well with what he was given, and all the obstacles he has dealt with. He is a beast, and I'm very glad to have him as my QB.
  10. True. I'd also like to add it wouldn't be totally bad for Hardy to come back on a 1 year prove it deal. He won't command as high a price now as he would have after his last season, but if he comes back for a year and balls out.....it could actually help him in the long run. Here's to hoping.
  11. Overrated- Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, & Matt Ryan Underrated- Cam Newton, Seahawks' WRs, & T.Y. Hilton
  12. We know Getts is a huge value guy. You have to look at what each guy is worth and what they will settle for. Nicks+Britt would probably be a better deal than just Cobb.(cap-wise) But let's not forget that Cobb is younger and has return ability. At the end of the day it will depend on the value Getts places on them. Sometimes less is more. Cha-cha-cha!
  13. Gettleman LOVES value. So if he can get Hardy for a steal, I can't believe he will pass it up. That being said, it really depends on what he believes would be a steal. We may say (hypothetically) 1 to 2 years at 4 mil a year is a steal. However, with current events and other needs being......well, more needed, he may not set too high of a value on Hardy. Also, Richardson may veto anyway.
  14. That's a little ridiculous to even consider especially if he gets a not guilty verdict. An apology either way should be in order. However, giving back 12 mil? Hardy didn't ask to sit for the year, he wasn't even officially sentenced.....so.....no. Giving a discount, yes. League minimum? I don't know. Considering he made 12 mil for nothing last year, a pay cut should be an absolute. How big? That's the question.
  15. Plus, imagine what we could get for Luke. He has proven he may be the best MLB in the league. It's really a no-brainer. Getts and all them draft picks. Lickin' his chops.
  16. Cam. Contrary to popular belief, he is more valuable do to his position. No guarantee we could get another QB that could step in and even come close to Cam's production. Would be painful decision either way.
  17. Very excited! Totally deserves recognition of some kind. At least he gets it for his off the field awesomeness. Maybe next year he will get some for his play.
  18. Yeh, being versatile is great here. Our line has had major problems staying healthy as of late.
  19. The 1 that knows is prob Gruden....hopefully Dungy is wanting a comeback! Haha! I'd take Herm. Lol!!
