I’m just saying Fields, Fitts and Russ all share baseball backgrounds. Seattle is big on athletics and so is Rhule. There are also parts of playing shortstop that come out when playing QB. It’s also why I can’t see Fitterer and Rhule drafting a guy like Mac Jones. As far as the other things you said I agree. That OSU offensive scheme doesn’t help either. It was well documented that Haskins needed a year to sit and learn. He didn’t get that which ended up being part of the reason (obviously there’s off the field issues there) he struggled so much.

It’s worth mentioning that like Russ and Fitterer, Justin Fields has a baseball background as well. He’s an athlete.

Ah nvm Neal is a ERFA, damn...

Ryan Neal. I’m guessing that’s their mutual friend he referenced. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Neal brought in and given a look

Wait... There are real life people that wouldn’t trade Christian for Watson?????

At 4:19 you can see the Panthers fans on TV celebrating the Greg Little pick while the Bills front office is essentially celebrating our stupidity -

And it’s because this exact reason he doesn’t even bother much anymore. You’d think you’d just take his word by now but instead you usually get a bunch of people who literally know nothing telling him he’s wrong. Ain’t worth it. -

If Washington is looking to trade up for a QB in the draft they may be a great partner if we’re looking to trade back. Sitting at 19, I can only imagine what else we could get from Marty -

From a dead money vs cap savings standpoint, Paradis seems like he’d be a strong candidate. However, we’d then have 4 spots to fill on the OL assuming Moton gets the tag. That’s too many spots to fill in one offseason. Although you could look to fill that spot with a cheaper option. This off-season is a big one for this organization.

I’m really rooting for him to get the job. I’ve always wanted to sit back and watch Marty do his thing without having to bash my head against the wall. Now I can just laugh.- 106 replies

Yeah Newman does need to have a good week after opting out. At the end of the day you can’t replicate live game snaps so it’ll be interesting to see how he does. Newman doesn’t lack athletic ability and has a nice quick release with good touch on his passes. He’s shown the ability to hang in the pocket and deliver some good balls into tight windows. Newman’s footwork is so reminiscent of Cam’s when taking snaps from shotgun. He’s definitely the most intriguing QB prospect at the Senior Bowl though IMO and I’m glad the Panthers are going to get a good look at him
