Season in jeopardy. Need a win to take the division lead. Play for a FG. Nope. -
Official Panthers at Falcons GameDay Thread

He has almost 70m reasons to not give a fug. -
It's partially about the type of offense you run too. RPO was never in Baker's wheelhouse, and if Rhule micromanaged the offense as much as he did everything else, it could have very well held back Baker's development in this offense. That's not a defense of Baker because he played like poo, just an acceptance that Rhule could have really fuged up this entire team because he thought he knew better than everyone. It's better for the team right now if Baker just holds his tablet and smiles.

Trade Scenario - If you were Fitts, would you...

Make an offer to the Falcons to try and trade our 2nd (or SF's), maybe a 4th and Ian Thomas for Kyle. I know, I know we just traded CMC for some picks and we haven't really done well in the trading for players department, but it makes sense to an extent. Yes, I also know you don't trade within your division. Yes I know he was an early 1st round pick last year. But the simple fact is, Arthur Smith has no interest in making him part of their game plan. He has 16 receptions and 178 yards in 6 games so far this year. We need a TE. Our TE room is abysmal. We need serious help and the Falcons could use the pick to draft someone they might actually use next year and Thomas could be the blocking tight end to occasionally catch a pass. Yes I'm bored. Maybe had a drink or 2. But at least it's not another thread about trading away our core. Would anyone be upset if we somehow pulled a deal like this off? -
He got in Daboll's dog house and never got out. I wasn't against making a move for him before the whole Robbie drama. Dude has talent.

So does Josh Gordon

Why is that? It's art on a machine. Guys who do turf professionally are fanatical.

One of the coolest I ever did before drones was a large scale waving flag on a 1 acre flat lot for 4th of July. I couldn't get a pic of it from the air but it was pretty bad ass.

Revisiting the Greg Little trade….
SmokinwithWilly replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
When I watched it I kept asking myself if he had ever done these drills before. His footwork was god awful. It looked like a really bad tire drill. None of it was fluid. It was all clunky and painful to watch, like one of those videos where someone loses their balance, tries to save themselves, then face plants down a staircase. -
And when you find a guy that takes extreme pride in turf management, it shows. I do turf maintenance and lawns are cut with a 45 degree directional change weekly and I'm fanatical about the stripes, watering, fertilization, etc. If you set it up right and train the lawn correctly, maintenance is pretty damn straight forward and even high traffic turf can take one hell of a beating and bounce right back.

There's only so much flex you can engineer into a product and have it withstand safety standards and durability for transport and installation. It also has to be stapled/staked into place to keep it locked down and prevent the product sliding. Weight alone won't do it. Grass roots tear in small areas or stretch like a mesh, but the product as a whole still retains it's rigidity, unless it's a sopping wet monsoon. Then the roots actually lose their hold in the soil. With proper drainage and vacuum systems underneath, water can be sucked out from underneath the field to keep it relatively dry.

Fields can be heated and drains installed underneath real turf. There's ways to do it but it's obviously a lot of maintenance and it's pricy.

What’s your 2023 QB big board (including Corral)
SmokinwithWilly replied to Wundrbread33's topic in Carolina Panthers
If he does or doesn't, it's all on him at this point. I hope he finds success. It seems like any QB associated with Rhule has pretty much watched their career go down in flames, except for T2G, and he's just a backup right now. -

I'm not suggesting tie them to MC for a new HC to have him as their starting QB. I'm just saying here's what I got from him based on his limited time last year. It wasn't good, but how often do you get a Dak, RW or TB12? I have no issues drafting a new QB. At best, MC is QB3 for now if PJ hangs around and we draft a new QB. But I also think any HC with any NFL experience is going to look at what Rhule did and shake his head saying WTF. Right now MC is the equivalent of Will Grier to me. -

I have a hard time with anything the guy did in preseason as a preview to what he can do. Matt Rhule was god awful and put no one in a position to have any success. Icky, Bozeman, BC, QB competition, it was all god awful. Getting mental reps doesn't mean squat. He needed to be practicing live reps to gain experience and adjust to NFL player speed. That's how you develop QBs. At this point, I see him as a 3rd round rookie since he never made it through TC and preseason. All I ever hoped is he might be a capable backup at some point and possibly surprise us with some starter potential. I don't expect much from him going forward or that he will even have any shot as a starter. The whole situation is one big poo stain. -
Revisiting the Greg Little trade….

I guess it depends on which trade you're looking at. Remember, we traded up to get him. -
We have had some of the most boring offenses in football the last 3 years and Turner wasn't exactly an offensive mastermind. Depending on what Shanahan does with him that offense, he could be ridiculous.

More trade predictions from LaCanfora

They like overpaying for used up QBs. Maybe we could trade straight across for Sammy D or the brown bomber.
