Unless Rhule is fired I won't be watching another Panthers game this year so I really don't care what they do. If it take Sammy D for Rhule to get the pink slip, start him every single down, even on defense.

It takes skill to be this bad at coaching.

I don't trust Rhule in any type of QB evaluation at this point.

Watching Rhule coach is just like watching Greg Little at the combine. It's just fugging painful.

It could be argued that Chinn should have been DROY. if it hadn't been for draft position, he would have. Then Rhule takes one of our top defensive weapons and puts him at a different position where he has struggled to be even half as effective. That's just bad decision making. Kind of like getting a whole bunch of guys that can play multiple places on the oline, when they aren't injured for 3 games, instead of getting an actual LT, guard or center.

Rhule never really struck me as the typical HC when he was hired. I expected him to hire the best he could at the coaching positions and he would manage them. That's great in theory but it doesn't really work if the guys you hire aren't very good.

Matt Rhule may be a bigger bullshit artist than Jon Gruden at convincing people he should be an NFL head coach.

The Darnold deal looks like total ass. The only saving grace is the Jets got 3 picks but won't know how to use them anyway. The 5th year option has that feeling of waking up next to the waffle house waitress after one too many mad dog 20/20s and a dare from your now former buddies. Henderson makes sense in some respects. 3rd round pick for a guy still on his rookie deal. DJax has gotten torched the past couple of weeks and Henderson can give us the chance to get a CB of equal caliber for less money and we get a 3rd rd comp back for Djax contract if we let him walk. I can't criticize Gilmore too much because we likely just traded a 6th for a 5th comp.

If Sam is back next year with a new HC, I don't see what it hurts to keep him. His salary is guaranteed. Maybe another coach could make him into a backup qb for a year. He only plays if something goes wrong.

Thankful we have an active message board full of loyal fans that are always positive and cheerful. We're not always perfect, except for me of course, but it's nice to be able to talk some Panthers football. Happy holidays to all of you.
