  1. Every team can say that. Zack Wilson's been sacked 15 times, his sack total a game 5 is almost equal to the year total for Donald at 6. How can anyone rank the Jet's online has performance better than the Panthers. Not the best oline in the league but far from the worst.
  2. Their offensive line can be had. Smith and Martin are all pro, but the other 3 positions on the line are very suspect. The Saints Oline across the more were much better and we dominated and confused them. The Cowboys haven't faced a team that brings pressure the way we do. Philly, Tampa Bay, & Chargers are all in the bottom third of the league in pressuring the quarterbacks, the Panthers are #1 in that department. If the Panthers Oline comes to play and gives Donald time we can move the ball against them, they have aggressive secondary that will gamble that has resulted in them getting interceptions but also leaves them vulnerable to the big play. Which they lead the league in giving up big plays. All in all if the Panthers can stop the running game for the Cowboys, then I believe we will be able to put on pressure on Dak and contain the Cowboys passing attack. Panthers 24 Cowboys 14
  3. It's a fair opinion, road game against a team more than likely will be in the playoffs. I just think this game will be closer than many think. All the signs are pointing in favor of the Panthers. Dallas having a short week, coming off a blowout win over their division rival. Every body telling them have great they are all week, now here comes a well rested team with the #1 defense in the league can Dallas keep that intensity going for 2 weeks straight without smelling themselves, Panthers are the wrong team to have a let down against.
  4. Dallas isn't some juggernaut, they could have very well lost to the Chargers and be sitting at 1-2 right now. They haven't face a defense playing as good as ours yet. Their success is predicated on them being able to run the ball. The Panthers have the best run defense in the league so far. On paper this is the worst pass defense we will have faced. So having McCaffrey out may not be as huge of a blow as otherwise. Their saving grace on defense has been turnovers. Protect the ball and there are plays to be made on their defense. They've allowed over 300 yards passing to all 3 of their opponents including Jalen Hurts and the suspect Eagles offense.
  5. I read this thread still unsure what the behavioral problems were, outside of him being an introvert and maybe aloof. Some innuendo's from total strangers about his family being moochers, outside of that I think it was a good trade.
  6. Based on a few reports it looks like we traded Perrryman for the same reason the Jags traded Henderson, both players for whatever reasons couldn't get on the field, and the organizations decided to part ways. One was a mid-tier free agent signing, who's probably not better than the guy we have starting now. The other was a top 10 draft pick from a season ago whose potential is through the roof; you take that chance.
  7. 1. The Cold Front 2. Abominable Snow Defense.
  8. After Dallas and Philly game we'll more than likely be #1 in most of the yardage categories again. Denver defense will have the edge in points allowed.
  9. The more I think about it, maybe this move to get CJ was a preventative move against out competition as well. With Horn's injury we definitely needed to add more depth to the position. But also note that Tampa Bay was window shopping for cornerbacks as well, they actually reached out to Richard Sherman before the Panthers did. So maybe this was a move to take a piece off the board before the Buccaneers who have a suspect DB backfield.
  10. I doubt it would take the Panthers backing up the brinks truck to acquire Sherman, he isn't on anyone's team currently so also wouldn't be any need to give up draft capital. No one expected a career backup named Jake Delhomme to start for the Carolina Panthers in 2003 much less lead that team to the Super bowl.
  11. Teddy spreads the ball, and goes through his progession more at this point in their careers. There's a reason Robby Anderson has disappeared from the offense. Sam usually locks in on his first read and is more turnover prone. He does have a better arm than Teddy and can make some pin point throws, especially on the run and with this Oline that's a benefit. All in all I think Sam has greater potential and if he can cut the turnovers down. The sky's the limit on where this team can go.
  12. What the heck is a "rebuild mode'? Did they bring it Haasan Reddick, Daquan Jones, Morgan Fox to help rebuild? Hopefully the Panthers organization are trying to win games, especially sitting at 3-0 and leading the division through the 1st quarter of the season. If Sherman can help the defense in light of Horn's injury sign him.
  13. Joe Brady's overrated. Depleted Houston secondary and you can't scheme up to exploit that. Let's see what adjustment s get made after halftime.
  14. We had the defensive rookie of the year in Peppers, opposite Rucker, Kris Jenkins was a beast in the interior. Linebackers Morgan, Witherspoon. Alot of people overlook how great our safety play was that year. Both Mike Minter and Dion Grant were probowl level talents that season.
  15. Yea that's what caught my eye as well Hartsfield looks to be grabbing his wrist or something at the end of the play.
  16. I predict the rookie throws us two picks. Panthers hold another team scoreless in the 1st half. We coast in the 2nd half. Royce Freeman gets some carries. Panthers 30 - Texans 7
  17. Definitely is looking like the league's best free agent signing of the offseason. In his last 17 games Reddick has 15.5 that's tops in the NFL. And being able to pair this beast with Brian Burns is just unfair and has transformed this pass rush into the best in the league. Locking him up long term has to be number 1 priority for the front office. Reddick blowing up Jets offensive guard as he's pulling.
  18. The best defenses to date imo. 2013, 1996, 2002, 2003, 2015. I think this team has the talent to surpass all those teams, the great thing it is a young squad, poised to get better.
  19. Their running game is the biggest threat, Mark Ingram, Phillip Lindsey, David Johnson are all capable backs who can gash you if you're not playing sound defense. If this was last season when we struggled to stop the run this game would have been closer than it should. The Panther improve run defense upfront should be able to neutralize their running game and put the ball in the hands of the rookie and that's when we can force mistakes. I think we see a similar showing in the first half of our previous games and improve offense play in the 2nd half.
  20. When did the Saints all of sudden become a bad team? They stomped Green Bay the week before, and most people on this board were talking about how deep and talented they were leading up to the game and didn't think the Panthers could pull off the "upset". Only a few of us were confident we were about to dog walk them. Now everybody talking about how bad they are.
  21. This is the 1st game he's gotten carries and the Saints are one of the better run stopping teams in the league look at what they did to Aaron Jones the week before.
  22. Teddy wasn't a bad Qb here. If we had the defense we had this season we would have won more than 5 games last year. The coaching staff wanted to move on and thought Sam was the better option he is younger and still has more potential. looks like it's working out for us and Denver.
  23. I mean yea those are better teams. But based on the small sample size the Panthers have looked like one of best defenses in the league. Pitching 2 shutouts in the first half of both games is rare to do in the NFL regardless of who you play.
  24. They shut Davis down, not so much the Jets rushing attack as they gave up 152 yards on the ground whereas we only allowed 45 against the Jets.
  25. I'll like to see them give Royce Freeman a shot down at the goalline.
