The thing that eases my mind a bit about the draft pick compensation is that those could very easily be busts with our draft track record. Fitts seems a bit better than Hurney/DG but who knows for sure. A sure thing franchise QB in place is extremely important. My issue is still with adding a franchise defender (or more than 1) to those picks. Burns, Chinn and Horn should be off limits. Brown or someone else, ok.

That would be stupid, he's actually solid and if we're letting Jackson and Gilmore walk then we'll be kinda thin at CB. Maybe we're going to try hard to keep Jackson for relatively cheap?

Not that this is actually gonna happen obviously but how would the NFL treat player-coaches in terms of salary cap? Could you have a QB or LB player-coach and pay them more as a coach and less as a player and have it be technically legal?

He started out pretty good but his play fell off a cliff (along with the rest of the team) as the season went on. Just checked his stats, I figured he had like 5 sacks last year but he only had 1.5 and no individual sacks, just 3 shared sacks... Completely fine moving on from him.

Such a genius that with a Hall of Fame QB and elite head coach they only won one SB (by cheating) and never really came all that close to winning another.

I'm not happy at all about the reported price for Watson but no one here can deny that it'll be the first time in years that we'll have something to actually truly be excited about on the field. The dude can ball at the most important position.

Pickett is like a Mac Jones with a bit lower of a floor and a bit higher upside. I.e. not someone you use a top 10 pick on. Herbert would be a good comp if Kenny had a rocket of an arm -- he doesn't. His arm strength is absolutely a weakness and will be his whole career, like Mac Jones. The main difference though is he is mobile and not a statue. That's nowhere near enough for me to get excited about him at 6

Those worried about the Bucs getting him can feel at ease. They are $10M over the cap and their starting center, cornerback, tight end, RG, DT, RB and safety are all free agents. Not to mention their elite starting guard Marpet just retired. Good luck with that.
