Lol! Years of Sam and Teddy and the weirdos creep out of the woodwork to throw shade on Cam. Especially after a game he did exactly what was needed of him and probably more. You guys can at least try to pretend not to have an agenda.

To be honest this also shows how much of a great character Cam Newton is. Imagine if Cam had a sliver of Steve Smith Sr. personality? He would would have done a Watson on us(minus the massages) and demanded a trade during his prime if not at the very least called to have Rivera fired and bring someone in who knows what they’re doing. Cam must be a very patient guy to take the poo that was given to him while he was here.

Every fan is optimistic. I hated the Cam pick but was I still watched all his highlights and wished to be wrong. I did the same with Darnold(with the few highlights out there)and had similar hope but it is what it is……

Well first of all, he's basically a rookie....

I'm arguing the latter. I think instead of keeping Sam around just cut our losses and cut him. That $18m is not coming back no matter what and in my opinion him staying on the roster is a complete waste of space especially since even PJ has shown he can play better.

We literally brought the guy back we tried to replace while still paying his replacements. We are way past that point of worrying about stuff like that….

We ditched Teddy and he was much better than Sam so it wouldn’t surprise me if we just straight up cut Sam.

I would prefer Cam get up to speed as soon as possible. If he can take the majority of snaps on Sunday then let him.

I’m especially big on keeping Cam till we can build an OL and find a new QB. If things go our way we could find ourselves similar to how the Chiefs had Alex Smith around and our shined new QB walks into a stud team when he’s ready like Mahomes did.

Well Darnold is basically a rookie…. ..on a serious note it’s one thing saying you don’t want a rookie to come in at the moment but it’s another thing going so heavy on Sam without either a solid OL to give him the best chance at success or a solid back(either vet or rookie)to bank on if the experiment goes belly up. Were Rhule and co. trying their best to address the QB position and a bit unlucky? Yes. Are they guilty of gross incompetence at the QB position? Yes.
