    Exactly! The measure should be “how many more years of rebuild” instead of “we’re only year 2 into rebuild”. At the moment the recent foul ups have added at least another two years to this rebuild.

    It’s hard to rebuild without a serviceable QB and OL and Rhule has missed on both really badly. If it is true he convinced Tepper not to go for Fields then he has another year at most….

    Tepper probably sat through meetings where Rhule and co. are telling him that Darnold is basically rookie so it made sense to pass on a QB in the draft. There is no way Rhule isn’t at high risk of being canned.

    I second this. Look at Burrow. His talent meant that Cinci could put weapons around him while knowing they can scheme around the OL that knocked him out of his rookie year.
