Panthers sign Rams NT Bobby Brown III
scratched replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Maybe this will shut some people up! -
Lots of options at Edge and DT in the draft. I suspect we will sign a couple of each at that position. "There are only three safeties with five or more interceptions, five or more tackles for loss and 15 or more passes defended since 2023, according to Sports-Reference.com: Jessie Bates III, Kyle Hamilton and Tre'von Moehrig. He also totaled a career-high 104 tackles in 2024, and he's incredibly durable, playing in 66 of a possible 68 games in four seasons despite leading the Raiders in defensive snaps (4,066) since being drafted in 2021. Moehrig, who turns 25 on June 16, could potentially level up while playing with more talented teammates. "

I think we got another ascending player in Moehring... I like both of these picks.

#9 FA this signing period. Young guy who is great against the run, so bookmark this statement. This guy will be a good pick for us.

I believe Hunter and Carter will be 2 of the 1st 3 picks. If that holds true, who drafts the QB? Ward goes in top 3 then that would leave the Jets at 7 who just signed Fields. Would they draft him after signing Fields?
-
S. Sanders will fall all the way down to the Steelers in the 1st rd. Will they take him? That's my surprise of the draft.

Yeah, mentioned several times a few hrs ago

Reddick to the Bucs, that sucks!

Panthers sign Jaycee Horn to $100 million dollar deal

Since when did Carolina think they can set the market for players? Ridiculous to pay him that much! -
If we can get Greenlaw for 7-9 mil on a 1 year prove it deal, I think we take that chance! Problem is, several teams will be offering around those numbers, and I wouldn’t want to go much more than that.
-
Should we take a shot at DT Johnathan Allen? Just released, they couldn't find a trade partner. Maybe can get him on a decent one or 2 year deal?

The fact we dont have a pick between 8 and 57, this is something like I would want if it came to fruition. 14. Will JohnsonCB Michigan 45. Jack SawyerEDGE Ohio State 57. Deone WalkerDT Kentucky 74. NFL Mock Draft 2025: Cam Ward new No. 1 to Titans, Shedeur Sanders falls to Seahawks, Eagles and Chiefs go guard | Sporting News

People are acting like Walker is a don't miss guy. I disagree and think he will be in a group of 5 or 6 other guys that will make about the same impact at that position. I'll wait for his combine numbers to come before final judgement. He is gonna have to cover in this league as well so I want to see some of his workouts and 40 time. Acquiring an extra pick and still getting a starter in the 1st rd is the best option in my opinion. Only 3 guys I stay at 8 for are Hunter, Graham, and Carter.

Mike Minter comes to mind, although he was back and forth between FS and SS
-
I'm willing to trade back as far as mid-20s. Worst case scenario, we draft Jack Sawyer, who I think will be as productive as any of the guys listed here.
-
Only players I would consider drafting at 8 is Carter, Hunter, and Graham. If none of these 3 are available, I trade back. Thats just my opinion.

I'd be willing to go as far 20-25 if the package is good enough. We need lots of bodies, and the more players we draft, the better chance we hit on a few of them. If we drop to say 25, but pick up a 2nd and 3rd this year and throw in the 1st or maybe even 2nd next year, I think that's a win. Lots of teams only needing a player or 2 will be calling at number #8. Lots of 1st rd talent all the way thru the middle to end of second rd this year. Deep at DT, Edge, and S this year. And we need all of that!
