Blueprint, Episode 1: Dropping today at 6pm
WUnderhill replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sounded like Morgan wanted to have a hype phone call moment to end the draft and nobody, including Horn, was nearly as interested in making it happen. -
Bryce Young is far less risky with his body when he runs than Richardson and doesn’t take many unnecessary big hits. Was much more worried about injury when he had that abysmal OL his rookie season than I ever would be when he runs/scrambles. 500/10 seems like a fairly reasonable prediction considering he had 250/6 in 12 starts last season. Of course literally anybody CAN get hurt, it’s just that we were assured by many huddlers that it was a sure thing with Bryce Young that he wouldn’t make it to this point in his career without significant injuries.

You guys remember when the narrative on here was that Bryce would be chronically injured in the NFL due to his size and Anthony Richardson would be super durable due to his? You remember when the narrative was that Bryce was physically incapable of throwing a ball further than 20 yards in the NFL? You remember “I’ll stop complaining when he throws for more than 200 yards and looks like an NFL quarterback”? You remember when 60 sacks was his fault and not the offensive line, slow WRs, and terrible scheme? Pepperidge Farm remembers. It will always be something for some people. Whatever insanity they come up with will be quickly dropped to move on to the next thing. Bryce could have an MVP Super Bowl winning season and they would complain that we can’t run the tush push with him. It will always be something.

Honestly pretty weird and low class to troll the city you were playing a tournament in. Anybody acting like this is normal I have to assume self flagellates often. -
It’s time to win. They had their moral victories against the Chiefs, Eagles, etc. last year. We proved we can hang, I’m ready to see the wins. Hope we pick 32nd.

I enjoyed this much more than the schedule release video with the players. Hope they do this every year.

If he doesn’t say it’s about money first and foremost then it doesn’t really matter what else he says. The international games are not good for the players or teams or overall product as far as quality of game. Same for Thursday night games. And they clearly start the scheduling process by looking at which games/teams/storylines they can make the most money on, then the rest of the schedule just gets shoehorned in from there.

Yeah not taking that Burns trade was infinitely stupid. We seem to be finally righting the ship but, imo, our biggest issue since Tepper bought the team has been coaches and management having a poor understanding of where our own roster is at. Starting with that idiot Rhule drinking his own kool-aid and thinking he was going to come and take the NFL by storm with Teddy freaking Bridgewater. Could have just kept Cam on the last year of his contract and gone from there but noooo that fat slob had to feel like he was the big man on campus. First round wizard Marty Hurney who, for whatever his faults, has a freaking HOF track record with first round picks, wants to trade up for Hebert but fat fug Rhule says no. Then we kept Rhule for 3 years which is absolutely unbelievable to me and every single year he treated our roster like it was just one player away trading our draft picks for Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield who have proven since leaving that Matt Rhule was an even bigger idiot of a coach than we thought. We finally seem to understand we are a ways off and trade CMC, but then we don’t take the actual good trade for Brian Burns who was never better than a run of the mill situational pass rusher. Then we botch the self scout of our OL (and team) after Wilks, even though they were bad before Wilks simplified the scheme, thinking they can execute whatever the hell Reich and Brown were trying to do. So we win a couple meaningless games playing dummy ball and Fitterer thinks we’re a player away again. And nobody even considers that having the slowest receiving corps imaginable with Damiere freaking Byrd, who can’t even make it to the season before being injured and cut, as your only hope for speed, coupled with the worst pass blocking OL I’ve ever seen, might lead to titanic levels of disaster. The way Canales and Morgan have been adamant about constantly bringing competition at every position has been refreshing and made a huge difference. I was kind of worried that we had fallen into our old ways leading up to the draft with all the talk of defense only and worried that they might feel the offense was set. Very glad to see they were not complacent on that. My big thing now is I’m still wondering why Evero is still here. I can’t think of a single player who has gotten better under him, and the Broncos defense got better once he left. We’ll see.

2025 Week 12 -> A Repeat of 2013 Week 11?
WUnderhill replied to SaltAndPepper's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hoping the team is playing well enough to be on the national radar before that. I feel like either that game or the following game (hoping not both) is basically a schedule loss. Playing a Monday night game in Cali then having to play in Charlotte on Sunday seems rough. We’ll get like 2 days of practice/install. -
Who is questioning Tmacs size outside of the huddle size kings? It’s such a bizarre thought that teams would be fooled by some fake or artificial weight at the combine while rando internet detectives on a message board know the real truth. People have called the combine useless for years. Players have been skipping it for years. Basically the whole top 10 skipped it this year. But the moment the Panthers drafted Bryce Young it became uber important to some of you.

Hornets Screwed in NBA Draft Lottey...Again
WUnderhill replied to chknwing's topic in Charlotte Hornets
The Hornets need to draft better and develop better, there is no doubt about that, but saying the solution is to simply crystal ball who will be the best players each draft and then also have those players be available at wherever you’re picking is beyond silly. SGA and Giannis were drafted in the teens. Jokic was a second rounder. If it was as simple as the teams that drafted them knew they would be superstars and we didn’t, then the teams that drafted them would have traded up as high as they could to get those players and not wait until the teens or second round. If it’s as simple as the teams that drafted them are just god tier developers, then why do they fail developing other players just like everybody else? Golden State are known as great drafters and developers, yet they took Wiseman at 2 over Lamelo and that was clearly the wrong decision. The Hornets would have probably taken Wiseman at 2 as well. There were 11 players taken before Haliburton that draft, he wasn’t even in play with the 3rd pick. The Thunder would have probably taken Oden at 1 if they had 1, instead of Durant at 2. There’s an element of luck to all this that the Hornets clearly lack, and to have the lotto rigged on top of it all is just a slap in the face. Do you really think Durant would have busted on the Hornets? Or Anthony Davis or Wemby? I don’t, but unfortunately we’ll never know because the league doesn’t let those players get drafted here. Honestly, the Hornets have done pretty decent the past few drafts. Whatever problems they have had with injury and otherwise, Lamelo, Williams, Miller, and Bridges have all shown when on the court to be worthy of their draft position. The biggest and dumbest thing they’ve done recently (and it is like Mount Rushmore of stupid moves) was when they traded Jalen Duren for a bunch of second round picks because they thought the roster was too full of talent. Like what the actual fug. I’ll never get over that one. -
Finally had time to watch the full video, and while I didn’t put the video I slow mo every time he had his shirt off to deeply analyze his lean muscle mass like some of you, I did have one big takeaway: if he can memorize that many handshakes, he should have no problem with the playbook. Let’s go!
-
He’s a WR, not a linebacker. Chill.
-
Didn’t pick up on that. What a jobbing they gave us with that one.
-
Playing the late game across the country week 12 and not getting the bye after is dirty work.
-
Tanking in the NFL isn’t really a thing and anybody wanting to bring the rigged lottery to the NFL has an ulterior motive.
-
2 teams with sub 2% odds winning it within a span of less than 20 years. Quite unbelievable.

Hornets Screwed in NBA Draft Lottey...Again
WUnderhill replied to chknwing's topic in Charlotte Hornets
Yes and I said they clearly draft better than us in the exact post you quoted. And yet with all their success drafting no chip and the best player they ever had left them. Again, it’s hard enough without the lottery also being rigged. -
Unless we luck into a Steph Curry at pick 4 it literally doesn’t matter. Williams, Ball, and Miller will play like 5 games together and we’ll watch inefficient offense and half-ass defense all year until we shut everybody down again just to hope for another shot at the rigged lottery.

Hornets Screwed in NBA Draft Lottey...Again
WUnderhill replied to chknwing's topic in Charlotte Hornets
That’s kind of the point though. OKC was lucky enough to get the #2 pick for KD instead of the #1 pick for Oden and they did a fantastic job building around him. And what happens? He leaves to ring chase in larger markets and they have nothing to show for it. They are definitely a better drafting team than the Hornets, but it still comes down to the only shot we have is lucking into a generational player in the draft and winning before they leave, and that chance is diminished by the rigged lottery system. -
Sporting News: Belichick could be out at UNC before Week 1
WUnderhill replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Huddle Lounge
If you are implying that the university was obligated to respond to him within a certain timeframe, I’d be curious what you are basing that on other than Torre whining and throwing FOIA around to make himself look important. That’s not even getting into whether the information, or lack thereof, even falls under FOIA. If you mean it was legal for him to make a request, sure why wouldn’t it be. -

Oh look, it’s that reporter who is butthurt over the university not responding to his information requests. Looks like he’s still butthurt.
