Brian Burns statline: 2 tackles, 0 sacks
WUnderhill replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
We have the 31st worst D in the league. 10 worse offenses in the league than us all manage to win games but our offense would have to rival Miami’s to cover the ppg our D gives up. Why doesn’t Ejiro Evero get any heat around here? -
Looking at those clips: Can we keep the trade for Jameson Williams talk going? Any of those Alabama offensive linemen looking for work?
-
And that’s a damn shame.
-
Clearly there is different air in the NFL or something.

wait ickey has been good this season?

That explains it. -

There’s no way lol. I just went back and watched him in that QB school vid because I knew he got Bryce blown up on literally the first play but I wanted to see if there were any others. 3 out of the first 4 plays in that vid alone Ikey is getting beat by his man and giving up pressure. I just stopped after those 4 plays because there’s no way this stat is correct. Who knows how PFF is judging pressure based off this but Ikey was getting beat like a drum. -
Seriously, do y'all want a positive vibes only thread?

This when I listed several reasons why it was lazy and ridiculous in the very post you quoted. -

I hated Teddy. I didn’t want him here ever. It’s not coping to say it’s a lazy and ridiculous comparison 5 games into Bryce Young’s career. You leading by saying anybody that disagrees with you is “cope” is where you lose any benefit of the doubt that you are trying to have a sincere discussion. 5 games with the worst OL in the league and you wonder why he’s not taking a bunch of deep shots after watching him get blasted blindside on the literal first play of the video. How many folks were upset with getting Cam killed behind bad OL’s with slow developing pass plays. I remember that too well, it’s clear some have forgotten. It is 6 games into his rookie season and we’re pulling guys off the street at OG with the slowest WRs and have the second worst defense in the NFL. It’s lazy and ridiculous to be dragging Bryce Young for the poo show that has been this team. -

What people want is for every thread to not be polluted with mindless anti Bryce bashing. Like the QB school thread. It was a mostly positive video, some things to work on, and the third response in the thread was an extremely lazy comparison to Teddy Bridgewater that looked like it came from somebody who didn’t even watch the video with a disparaging statement against the two positive posts in the thread. By a mod no less. And then said mod creating a snarky troll thread because his negative post got pooed on and pretending like it was sincere. Nobody likes a wet blanket. We all have enough to dislike about the team without the constant wet blankets trying to put a damper on anything that doesn’t support their opinions. -
They haven’t seen it. Too busy trying to sell the Teddy Bridgewater comp.

The Safe Space - ZERO negativity allowed in this thread
WUnderhill replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
He’s upset because there was a breakdown video posted on Bryce Young vs. Miami, which was generally positive and would be hard to watch and come away with nothing positive. And yet the first thing he did was be overly negative and imply that anybody not being completely negative and miserable after a generally positive video were “cope”ing. And since he got some negative response to his unwarranted negativity, he created a whole thread to try to make it look like anybody who tried to find and discuss positives rather than negatives were unreasonable and needed a “Safe Space” for pooing his negative posts. I think that about covers it. -

Yeah because anybody said “elite”. Absolute troll. -
I’m ok with him missing every single deep shot if it is between being accurate and protecting himself. Not interested in Bryce Young to IR and he’s getting hit enough as is.

WUnderhill replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah this type of poo is why people are annoyed. The QB school vid was just posted with the dude praising Young’s arm strength on throws, he throws a dart 30yds down field off balance with a defender yanking on him literally the second pass of the game, countless other examples, the overthrow on the deep shot that was inaccurate because the QB couldn’t follow through and had to protect himself because the guard and center blew the protection. Then you say you’re just being realistic. That’s called blind negativity and trolling. I’ve tried to start discussions about our abysmal defense, you know the 31st defense in the NFL. But all these folks that want to be “realistic” about our crappy team only seem to want to discuss their negative views about the rookie QB. That’s interesting. -

"Bryce Young needs superstars to be successful"
WUnderhill replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
74% completion to the 2 guys averaging (barely) over 2 yds separation in that graph accounting for over 60% of the passing offense. -
Not a single comment about yet another metric that shows we have one of the worst defensive play callers in the league. 10 offensive play callers worse according to whatever this is. Consistent with about 10 teams worse in every offensive metric. Only 7 defensive play callers worse according to this. 31 out of 32 DVOA, 31 out of 32 points allowed, 29 out of 32 in takeaways. No threads about Ejiro Evero. Our offense would have to rival Miami’s to make up for our atrocious defense.

Reich handing over playcalling to Brown
WUnderhill replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
We just have to literally become the Dolphins offense to make up for how bad our defense is. No big deal! -
That’s probably pretty accurate but nobody wants to talk about it. I tried talking about it before the season even started. We got boned by the schedule makers the first 6 weeks. Every game to me looked like more likely a loss than a win, but I figured the team would still win one or two just because. Turns out the OL, WRs, and defense are way worse than I thought.

Reich handing over playcalling to Brown
WUnderhill replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m not saying the offense is a bright spot, but there’s like 10 teams with worse offenses by pretty much every metric (yds/game,pass yds/game, rush yds/gm, points/game), and they’ve all managed to win games. The difference is there is literally one defense that has given up more points per game and that is the Denver Broncos. We need to be talking more about this rockstar DC we’re supposed to have. -
First 1/3 of this article is pretty telling

? Ben Johnson completely declined to interview. Josh McDaniels in the past comes to mind as well. It happens. -
Read what I said. You really think the team didn’t know his weight? What does it matter whether you or I know his weight?
-
It’s honestly wild to think an NFL team with their own doctors, scouts, full medical staff, etc. would be duped by a player drinking water before the combine. It’s ridiculous. That boy had a full medical evaluation. They saw his breakfast as it was digesting in his stomach. They traded up to stake their careers on a player. They had an unfathomable amount of information more than we have access to. And people think they didn’t know his weight? If they wanted to they would put him on a scale at the dinner table. But they didn’t need to because they had the information. I can’t believe we’re still talking about this.
