I don’t blame him for this. Your boss says report to me, you report to him. I do blame him for being a terrible OL coach, and hopefully Tepper doesn’t ask position coaches to undermine the head coach in the future.

Name me a lineman who got better under Campen. Ikey got worse. Bozeman got worse. Corbett got worse. Moton has steadily looked worse though he is still way better than the other guys. He was so excited for Zavala in the 4th round and made him look like the worst lineman in Panthers history. People writing revisionist history for that 2022 unit. They were bad and only competent downhill run blocking. OL coach has to be able to coach pass pro.

Calling it great is a bit of a stretch. These OL aren’t developing.

I honestly don’t know how James Campen is still here. I picture him just hiding in a bunker and staying quite hoping everybody forgets about him.

This is exactly why you go ahead and hire him if he’s your guy instead of just going through the motions of second interviews to satisfy certain fans.

Or maybe some of us just aren’t throwing ourselves on the floor kicking and screaming like 3 year olds.

If he’s the guy, why wait? Coordinator candidates are important as well and getting hired by other teams while we wait.

Last GM hire he went out of house and hired what many thought was a rising star from a successful organization. How’d that work out?
