Roman Harper thinks Sean Payton could be our next HC now
WUnderhill replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think it would be beyond stupid to trade next years first rd pick for a coach. We don’t have a QB or a clear path to one and could easily be picking t10 again next year. We benefitted from a cupcake schedule this year as well I don’t think the roster is as good as some people think. -
What if Stroud doesn’t declare for draft…
WUnderhill replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
Then he’s a dumbass tbh. -
I neither agree nor disagree. I think certain guys are deserving of it. Rhule was not. So because he was a dumbass and gave roster control to the wrong guy, now he’s not interested in the absolute top tier coaching candidates because they want roster control. It’s just over correcting.

It’s not that none of them are the answer, it’s that the 2 or 3 who could be the answer will be off the board by the time we pick and the cost to move up as many spots as we would need to from pick 9 is prohibitive. But hey, at least we won a few games so we can do this all again next year.

I don’t know if it is common in the NFL to interview that many candidates, but this gives me so little faith in this process. Interviewing that many people for a serious position is poor practice and generally leads to confusion and a higher likelihood of selecting the wrong candidate. And it seems pretty clear they’re not even done yet. They should have easily weeded out several of these candidates before the interview.

We just need to roll with Matt Corral or some rookie next year and if they play us into Drake Maye so be it.

Lol, there was a point this season when they actually ranked Georgia as low as 3rd in the nation.

My god pull the starters. The Falcons are beating the Bucs and the Rams can easily beat the Seahawks. Darnold has 22 yds. The team has shown nothing and winning this game is about the worst thing that could happen. -
Report: Panthers to interview Jim Caldwell, Frank Reich
WUnderhill replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Interviewing Jim Caldwell and Frank Reich but no interest in Jim Harbaugh what a fugging joke of an organization. -
He’s making the point that he was drafted the pick ahead of us and would have been a Panther if not.
-
Bucks just gave up on the game and used it as an opportunity to rest starters after 1 quarter. The NBA is such a poo show.

Wilks Set This Team Back
WUnderhill replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
I thought firing Rhule was the right move. The way the team looked, I didn’t think they had a hope in the world for generating offense without McCaffrey. I did think we should have traded both McC and Burns for the tank, but tbh I thought trading McC would be enough to get us the #1 or #2 pick. With as low as my opinion was of him, I didn’t think it was possible to underestimate just how much Rhule was holding this team back. Boy was I wrong. -
Draft position all rds as of today

Doesn’t help that Bucs have said they will not rest starters vs Falcons. -
Report: Jim Harbaugh wants to return to NFL (Athletic)
WUnderhill replied to amcoolio's topic in Carolina Panthers
I doubt he would want to come here. Remember when Rhules fat ass took Teppers offer to NY and begged them to match it? Well we’re an even less desirable landing spot now than we were then. -
I disagree. Matt Rhule’s first year was the year to take a nose dive. We knew at that point that the other teams in the division were just a couple years away from being garbage. All 3 had old QBs they were trying to make one or two final runs with. We had a head coach who was new to the NFL and an OC who hadn’t OC’ed at any level. This was the year that we should have been winning the division with a young and hungry group, and maybe Trevor Lawrence had we tanked hard enough. But no, Mr. 7 year plan thought he was the second coming of Chuck Noll. But I think I’ve finally figured it out. This whole time he was talking in dog years, which much better explains him blowing his load on retread QBs every year.
