    Martz playing for OT was one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen and his reasoning was downright idiotic… “I owed it to our players to let them keep playing”…

    Yep, I’d agree with that. I’d like another option like Stastny or Rodrigues for depth and then when Patches comes back we can move out someone like Bear and for any additional rentals we can move out Gardiner and Martinook.

    DW’s presser a few weeks ago made it sound like Patches will be back before the playoffs and that they are going to have to be careful about adding salary. I think if we see an addition it’ll be someone like Rodrigues or Stastny and they’ll sign for $2.5M or so. Then at the trade deadline someone like Bear gets moved out to open up room for Patches to come back.

    I’m also hopeful that by September, our new arrivals: Santos, Byrne, and Malanda, will all be available.

    Yeah and as you mentioned the philosophy in the first half was really useless when it came to evaluating a player like Vargas. Nonetheless, glad to get all three points and still be in the hunt.

    Yeah I didn’t understand the philosophy in the first. If you want to get to half at 1-1 or nil-nil that’s fine, but you have to dink the ball around the back to at least give yourself a break. I felt like when we weren’t defending we were just clearing it right back up the field to NYCFC. In the second half we started pressing much higher and overall we just looked much quicker.

    Might have been Fuchs best game all the year. Those were not the same legs that got torched against Miami.

    Everyone has already hit the good one’s but I’ll add MNF vs. the Patriots in 2013. Always nice to beat Brady, especially on national TV.

    Great point about the goaltending. Kahlina made two massive saves in the second to keep things level.
