This is the “progress” Tepper must be looking for
MillionDollarCam replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
Remember, according to Tepper’s manifesto, this is a five year process… only three more years of this poo. It’s starting to make sense why Tepper’s first two investments when bankrupt… he had no idea what the hell he was doing. In similar fashion, he has no idea how to run a football team. He’s just another billionaire that wanted to take a stab at professional sports. -
If you think we’re going to have enough cap space to sign evan an average guard and center than you need to take a look at how many outstanding free agents/available roster spots we have in concordance with our available cap space.
-
How do you suggest we fix the OL? Rhule traded away a bunch of our draft picks, took up a bunch of cap space by picking up Darnold’s option, and failed to develop any of the young guys that were on the roster… The OL sucks because Rhule thought that he could develop fugging Cam Erving and Pat Elflein… Now we need to fill four spots with limited cap space, no draft picks, and young players who weren’t properly developed. The guy is a fugging loon.

I’m honestly not so sure. A lot rides on Christensen, if he can be a serviceable LT then we only need two guards and a center. If he fails then add the most expensive spot on the line to the above list. Not to mention, we have a lot of guys currently on the roster who need new contracts which will eat into our cap space. Oh, and we don’t have a second or third round pick. Rhule and company fugged this team up for the foreseeable future.

To think that people paid hard earned money to watch this… -
We are the second ranked defense in the NFL in the same way that I own beach property in Kansas.

How the hell you going to retain Rhule in 2022?

A guy I work with is a diehard Lions fan, older guy so he’s even seen the Barry days, he loves Campbell. -

Dan Campbell will turn the Lions around, his persona is similar to Rivera’s as in his guys love to play for him. I suspect they’ll go QB in the draft and if they hit on whoever they select then that Lions team could be a sleeper next year. -

They are on pace to score 26 points against the 2nd ranked defense in the NFL. We’ve scored 26 points or more a total of four times this year… -

If we have the 2nd ranked defense, I’d hate to see how bad 3 through 30 is. -

I know the Bucs are going to the playoffs and we’re going home but damn… I can see the jizz dripping off the announcers chins all the way from my couch…. We get it we suck, and the Bucs are good. -

Someone on the Panthers staff needs to realize that we aren’t the Saints… the bubble screens don’t work. -

I’ll be surprised if Rhule even lets Sam throw the ball. It’ll be three straight runs, a punt, and hi-five from Rhule to Darnold. Rhule has been breastfeeding Darnold the entire year, it’s not going to change now. -

Hopefully it’s Matt Rhule’s, the players are just the pallbearers. -

Factor in parking and travel expenses as well (for those that live in Raleigh, Asheville, Greensboro, Wilmington, etc.). A Panthers game suddenly turns into a financial burden rather than a fun day with the way they are performing. I can watch them get murdered perfectly fine from my couch while eating Christmas leftovers. -
Sam Darnold likely starting again for last few games
MillionDollarCam replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
At 24, it’s unlikely his “problem between the ears” is going to fixed. Practice and repetition will only do so much, it’s a different animal when you have to go full speed and your thinking window goes from 8 seconds to 3 seconds. Not to mention, trying to fix Sam “between the ears” should have been done in college, not when he’s playing against the best football players in the world. Sometimes, guys just don’t have it… and that’s okay. -

He’s a college coach so there is bound to be some favoritism in the way that he handles the team. College football is essentially a lot of politics and donor opinions, mixed in with some over recruiting and favoritism, sprinkled with a dash of coaching. There’s a reason why there isn’t much parity in college football, there are very few coaches that know exactly what it takes to lead a team from the towel boy all the way to the star QB. -
How is everyone feeling about PFF these days? According to them Perryman is ass…

I for one will still watch even if Rhule is the coach but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that my monetary and time investment would be much more than it is currently if he was shown the door. Tepper’s unwillingness to admit that he made a mistake is similar in fashion to a captain going down with his ship after making a fatal error… I worry that our situation gets worse before it gets better. -
