Assuming it's done do you select a qb this year or wait?
Martin replied to Panthero's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think everyone laughed at Falcons because they brought in an old rookie that will be close to 30 by the time he starts. -
So was that a yes? His dad’s fault or not, he has to be able to lead. I do like Ward and Ewers as well.
-
I think he can play. I don’t follow him close (or at all really), but from what I’ve read I have serious reservations about his abilities to lead. A lot of finger pointing and trashing people.

This should be a very good QB class, not sure why some people say otherwise?

How surpised were you at how the team looked(Game 1 Edition)?

I expected us to be pretty bad, but this was somehow even worse. This season will be all about the o-line growing together, develop young talent on both sides of the ball etc. Then we can be ready for a new QB in the draft. I think this will end up being a very strong group of QBs, so I’m excited about it. -
I obviously don’t know how things will turn out, but I don’t see much to disagree with in regards to the last offseason and draft this year, but maybe I’m the only one.

Tepper has been a terrible owner, but anyone thinking the owner wouldn’t be part of hiring a new GM and HC is delusional. Not giving Bryce a chance to prove himself in year two would be crazy (even if you know he’s not the guy, which most of us know). All of this is a carryover from previous years, and Tepper was a big part of that, but Fitterer is one of the worst GMs of all time, close to every move he made the last few years was a disaster, it would be hard to do that bad even if you tried.

We both lose as Bryce is still our QB
-
He was far from an elite pocket passer, but we can agree to disagree
-
Reich got fired for the second time in one year because he sucks at coaching
-
He was considered an out of pocket creator, was never a pocket passer.
-
He just can’t read or see the field.

I can guarantee Bryce would not be better than Purdy in San Fran.

No team can overcome Bryce playing at this level.
-
That fair lol, what I meant to say is that I think he has a chance to become really really good.

Sanders is the highest ceiling TE we’ve had since Greg, very excited about him. I hope Tremble can become a solid second TE, but don’t disagree with you.

Only one game in to the season, but it is a very intriguing group of QBs.

That is pretty amazing tbh. Raym could be the long term answer at C, I was impressed by him in the preseason. Also have to give a lot of props to our front office.

Good for Ron, he is a great guy and I wish him the best.

Panthers will keep Jonathon Brooks on NFI list

Likewise, I always enjoy to hear a different perspective. In my mind I just want some good players, so while maybe a bit boring, I’m ok as long as it improves the overall roster. -

That’s what everyone said about the Lions last year after drafting RB and MLB in the first round… -
It was the most fun I’ve had in a while watching our offense. A lot of positives to take away. I’m very encouraged by Canales actually scheming guys open for Bryce and a o-line scheme that seem to work. Bryce did a very good job and looked very comfortable. Hopefully it translates to the real season. We might actually have a decent shot against the Saints in our opener.
