  1. The most important thing to me is to have a true bridge QB and don’t start a rookie. Pats are doing it the right way this year. Packers have done it that way for years etc. That also allows you to draft a high upside QB and develop him. And it would work really well with Candles as a HC. Allen from Penn State would definitely fit the bill for this.
  2. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone gave us a 5th rounder. That seems to be the going rate for one last chance reclamation projects.
  3. I have hope for Dan, I really liked what he did if FA and the draft this year
  4. So looking at this case in isolation, do you think they should continue to start Bryce? And I’m looking at this as a yes or no answer. There has been a lot of things go wrong the last few years, but this is in my opinion not one of them.
  5. It is not an unusual situation in real corporate life where you’re not sure you can make some big decisions before you talk to your boss about it. I believe as soon as Canales understood it was a viable option, it was a no brainer. So in many ways this was a joint decision between him, Tepper, Dan etc. as it impacts the direction of the org long term. I also think they were all aligned as they’d seen enough at this point.
  6. Adding in this from the Athletic where his own teammates chime in
  7. I think everyone laughed at Falcons because they brought in an old rookie that will be close to 30 by the time he starts.
  8. So was that a yes? His dad’s fault or not, he has to be able to lead. I do like Ward and Ewers as well.
  9. I think he can play. I don’t follow him close (or at all really), but from what I’ve read I have serious reservations about his abilities to lead. A lot of finger pointing and trashing people.
  10. This should be a very good QB class, not sure why some people say otherwise?
  11. I expected us to be pretty bad, but this was somehow even worse. This season will be all about the o-line growing together, develop young talent on both sides of the ball etc. Then we can be ready for a new QB in the draft. I think this will end up being a very strong group of QBs, so I’m excited about it.
  12. I obviously don’t know how things will turn out, but I don’t see much to disagree with in regards to the last offseason and draft this year, but maybe I’m the only one.
  13. Tepper has been a terrible owner, but anyone thinking the owner wouldn’t be part of hiring a new GM and HC is delusional. Not giving Bryce a chance to prove himself in year two would be crazy (even if you know he’s not the guy, which most of us know). All of this is a carryover from previous years, and Tepper was a big part of that, but Fitterer is one of the worst GMs of all time, close to every move he made the last few years was a disaster, it would be hard to do that bad even if you tried.
  14. He was far from an elite pocket passer, but we can agree to disagree
  15. Reich got fired for the second time in one year because he sucks at coaching
  16. He was considered an out of pocket creator, was never a pocket passer.
  17. I can guarantee Bryce would not be better than Purdy in San Fran.
  18. No team can overcome Bryce playing at this level.
  19. That fair lol, what I meant to say is that I think he has a chance to become really really good.
