I did the same after saying we should have taken Neal who struggled at RT all of last year for the Giants. I could have seen an argument for Cross, but Neal…

Yeah I don’t think people are very fond of condescending “I know better than you” type posts in general.
-
I didn’t watch the game, only saw the 3-3 score at halftime. Did the Falcons look great despite that putrid score?
-
All fair points. I just think most teams are thin in a couple of areas and are one or two injuries away. We are not unique in that. But of course I’d like better depth. Jets as an example are deep on defense but very thin on their o-line.
-
Just curious, how many teams in the league has the depth to replace all of their star players without regressing? Only a handful in my estimation.
-
I think the Jets O-line will be what holds them back this year. They are in much worse shape than us. I think we will be ok once the season actually starts. Also, if I remember correctly, we scored in the final 2-minute drills with all starters, and they didn’t. Just throwing it out there.

Saleh is a pure rah rah guy who used to coach a D with the best line in football. He has a lot to prove no doubt.

Who impressed and who sucked - preseason game 1

Good for Moore. But the single pass from Fields to Moore in that game was a screen pass parallel to the los. So it is hard to say anything about their connection at this point. -
I disagree. If you can’t motivate players without being an asshole I have no respect for you. You are not a leader.

I’m in the same spot as you. It just feels like there are way too many games where he essentially is a no show. His floor should be much higher at this point.

Sounds like McCall is the favorite to start at NT. Love the front three in this scenario: Brown, McCall, Tuttle. Here is an excerpt from the Observer/Kaye: “…McCall is a perfect fit in the middle of an odd front. And while he was seemingly set to compete with John Pensini and Bravvion Royfor a starting job this summer, those two players were cut less than a week into camp. Now, McCall — who has been practicing with the first-team group throughout training camp — is in the driver’s seat for the top nose tackle job. “I’m just blessed to have that position and have the coaches trust me enough to make me a starting nose (tackle) — it’s just a blessing,” McCall said. “I’m grateful.”…”

It was kind of terrible. But good for him, super brave and it looked like he really enjoyed it.

I’m really intrigued by a DB, McCall, Tuttle front three. I think McCall might grab the NT role.

Here is the link to the awesome Bozeman interview regarding Young and his leadership I alluded to in another thread. He’s essentially blown away. Well worth 5 minutes of your time, so I figured it deserved its own thread: https://www.panthers.com/video/bradley-bozeman-discusses-bryce-young-s-leadership

I agree with the notion “good for him”. I just don’t understand it.

I don’t know why taking up 5 roster spots with a blend of injury prone and mediocre rbs would be better? I prefer one really good one.

Charlotte Considering Offer Sheet For Grant Williams

Would he slide in to SG with his strong defense and good shooting? So Miller can stick to SF? -
I just feel thar anyone that has limited interest to get in shape despite being constantly injured is someone I would stay away from. The chances of him deciding to change his ways are microscopic.
-
I agree, that would be fantastic. I don’t want anything to do with Zion. Any player that can’t be motivated to stay in shape is a big no, no matter their talent.
-
I think Cody has the same abilities, so I look at this as what we have in Cody
-
I agree with this. It sounded like some folks wanted a 50/50 competition straight up, but I might have misread the comments.
-
What do you think of in terms if reps when you say give him an opportunity to compete? I would hate to take reps away from Young, so I’m curious what you think it would look like?
-
It would be asinine to take away snaps from Young “to give Corral a chance”. But, I’m all for him and Dalton to share the remaining snaps to see if he has what it takes to be a long term backup or starter for another team.
-
Funny enough I didn’t think he looked that tiny, I was positively surprised. But I’m more glass half full.
-
I agree, don’t see an issue here. Nobody said he won’t be awesome. He just happens to have a just ok arm by NFL standards. These things are not mutually exclusive. It is ok to say everything is not perfect, no need to freak out.
