I prefer Bozeman, but I wonder what Elflein looks like next to two competent guards. No C in the league would look good next to Jordan at LG. I’m thinking we might draft a C high next year.

A lot of whining about our beat reporters. Personally I think we have a lot of good writers, Joe is great over at the Athletic, Ellis is great at the Observer, Panthers.com has a lot of well written pieces. What we don’t have is the “breaking news” crowd. I take writers over breaking news tweets any day, but maybe I’m old school.

I thought it was really well done, I enjoy the behind the scenes interactions between the players and coaches. Darnold seems like a great guy, just not a good quarterback. Super encouraged by Baker, drinking the cool aid with no hesitation.
-
Brady looked really good at LG, he didn’t get fooled by anything (the opposite of Jordan), he’s obviously a very intelligent player.
-
For the most part Ickey and Brady looked really good together, which is great news. It’s a no brainer for everyone but Rhule.
-
Anytime the WR bobble a catch over the middle it turns in to a hospital ball. Not sure how much of that was on Corral.
-
Agree on this, really like what I’m seeing. It’s the playing Elflien and Jordan as starters that is driving me crazy.
-
They wanted Baker and Sam to get 6-8 plays each, so no big deal.
-
I was laughing at the same thing.

Bozeman being at C is step 1, no we wait for step 2

Agree with this. I’m all aboard the Corral bandwagon, and I want him to get more reps in practice. However, if he’s not ready to start by week 1, I’d rather they give him some more time. Set him up for success. My hope is that he will be our long term answer at QB. This is the time of year to be optimistic!

What I liked best was his sense of urgency in the spirit of practicing like you play. Darnold was just jogging around in the same drill.

You might for all I know be an awesome talent evaluator. However, acting like an a-hole on a message board doesn’t really give you any credibility. That is usually reserved for people who know how to discuss and argue as an adult. If you would learn how to do that, it sounds like you could have a lot of good knowledge to share.

Once Rock Hill fell through my expectation was that they would rethink their plan and build a joint facility for both teams, that makes the most sense.

Did you watch Williams in any of the summer league games? You constantly reference high school, college etc.
-
Haha, I was thinking the same thing. I only watched 10 min or so, but he really impacted the other teams shooting. There were several times they were trying to shoot but had to pull back. He also looks really smooth for such a tall guy running up and down in transition. Not saying he’ll be a star, but he sure is what we were missing last year.

I know it’s been posted, but that’s ok. Let’s just enjoy this one more time.

I don’t know a great deal about him, but are we really concerned he didn’t get along with Kyrie Irving? Who actually do get along with Kyrie?

Someone holding a woman by the neck and joking about her being alone with five guys is clearly a rape “joke”. It has nothing to do with race. It is a bullshit move. But sure, let’s change the topic and call it racism. Pathetic.
-
Grabbing a woman by the neck and essentially joking about gang rape is a terrible thing to do. How the hell is that acceptable in your world. That alone should disqualify him for any coaching roles. And yes I’ve had too much on to many occasions when I was young, but I’ve never laid my hands on a woman like that. That’s an asshole move in my book.

The point here is that the conference is not a real factor for the best LTs in the NFL.
-
The Darnold bs will sort itself out, this is the exciting stuff: “Meanwhile, rookie Matt Corral picked up the offense nicely, coming from Lane Kiffin’s simplistic, RPO-heavy scheme at Ole Miss. He flashed competitiveness and a whip for a right arm, has had no issues through lighter install days and managed himself well through the heavier installs. Corral is lights-out after the snap but still swimming mentally a little before the snap.”

Which top 10 NFL LT played for a SEC school? I think Tunsil is the only one.
