Darnold Concussed, Patriots Game Next Week, Sign Cam,
parker replied to Kryptick's topic in Carolina Panthers
We should trade all our starters and the next 5 first round picks for Adam Sandler. He played great football in The Waterboy and motivated the coach to become an offensive genius. I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up in a thread yet. -
Donte Jackson is gonna get paid a lot of money this offseason

We have a lot of talent at corner. I'd like to keep him, but we it's not a place we need to have someone. I think it really depends on how Horn progresses with his injury. -

DJ drops too many TD passes that hit him in the hands for a top receiver -
This offense is totally dependent on Christian

It really isn't. McCaffrey covers up some blatantly bad offensive line play. -
there is a reason he gave Rhule a 5 year contract. It wasn't going to turn around in one or two seasons.
-
They are missing a starting line backer, safety and cornerback. That's the biggest difference in the first 3 defensive games vs the last 3.
-
On the positive side. Seats are about to be easier to get.
-
It can be if you pay for productive talent. In the past, we over payed for fading talent.

I'm sorry but this isn't a winning record team.

Hopefully by then, we'll have a cornerback that knows the plays and a safety that isn't jumping out of position. Philly is beatable. -

Dallas is a very good team and I think a lot of posters aren't giving them the credit they deserve. They balled. We made some mistakes that need to be corrected on defense. But this is a young team that is still coming together. Look for them to get even better as the season goes on. I do not think we are on par with the Cowboys or the Buccaneers right now, but we aren't far below that as the game showed. -
Horn and Burris hurt. But the Oline manhandled the interior today. Dallas made us pick a poison on what we wanted to stop then had the defense guessing.
-
I think it was Burris that hurt us. Isn't that who Franklin is replacing?
-
They damn sure aren't calling holding.
-
We have hung in there pretty well with all the injuries.
-
We are beating ourselves.
-
We really could be when you look at the schedule. Probably not, but it's not out of reach.
-
You can't hit what you can't get to. I wouldn't say this defense doesn't have hard hitters, the game rules have limited that somewhat.
-
We get a long week before the Cowboys and the guys are going to be amped for that game. My only worry is that we get jittery. But it's a good time to play them.
-
I'm not worried about the only 2 games in talk. We saw this begin to take shape last year. Early in the season, the offense carried the game and the defense looked like the weak link. Throughout the year, it got better and better, but the offense couldn't stay on the field ( the defense scored 14 alone against the Vikes and we still lost). This year, the defense is better. It made a huge jump just at ML. We might not put up so great numbers every game, but we have a pretty good defense.

What was the explanation for punting on the Jets 33 yard line?
parker replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
That was my thinking too. I can see it. Defense was dominating -
He isn't old enough to get those calls.
-
I was afraid they were going to call it on Derrick Brown when he burried Wilson. I think his whole body disappeared under Brown for a few minutes.

Coaching made this game Closer then it should have been..
parker replied to WOW!!'s topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't disagree with the punt. I really believe the way our defense was dominating that the ball should have gotten inside the 10 or 5 yard line. But it didn't and was fair caught at the 15. They had a shot at Rhule right after and he looked disgusted. As far as the offense, we were playing the clock. Our defense was playing lights out trying not to give them rests between series would be detrimental. I understand it's not sexy to throw the ball 20 yards each time, but we were controlling the game. They got lucky with the first TD pass on the scramble. Bottom line, we won. A win is a win. We won close and it's better than losing close like last year.
